I've made overnight oats. Sometimes I eat it cold and sometimes I heat it in the microwave - just depends on how you like it, but it doesn't need cooking. The oats soften up soaking overnight.
Not necessary but it can change the flavor if you prefer it. Phytic acid is reduced either by cooking or soaking oats and these are intended to be soaked overnight so it's fine to cook or not.
These overnight oats are protein packed. I was pleasantly shocked! I also do like the chia seeds in my oatmeal not only for the texture, but the omega 3. All around it is a great breakfast to start the day. 10/10
