This is a truly great anime although kind of short for some of the characters. The best way to sum up this anime’s description is it being a space-age version of Hercules. It truly needs a continuation and then some!
Bro df i just watched this by finding the name interesting, i finished it two days ago and now the guy i use to find new anime makes a vid about it… sus
Definitely one of those hidden gems from the 2000s that you would never find unless you looked for it. A space Odyssey/Fantasy that completed it's story in 26 episodes. This was definitely in the same wheel house as something Toonami would pick up, it's also dubbed. I'm glad you brought some traffic too it, because most will still not know about it.
another fun one was Chrome Shelled Regios for some odd reason i really loved this one but was short and nevergot another season like many of the 2000s gems
@@kingblane Yo!!! Chrome Shelled Regios was a banger. I’ve been going through recently watching 2000s anime’s that I watched but didn’t totally appreciate at the time. Rewatching Xamd was a wild ride. Now watching Tokyo Majin.
it definitely took me a second to realize this was heroic age. I loved this anime so much. The character who kept crying because he didn't want to fight broke my heart.
Such a good anime. I stumbled upon it by accident one day 5 years ago. After watching the first episode I got hooked and finished the entire series in a week. So good.
I watched heroic age relatively recently and the best way to describe it is a fusion of "Legends of the galactic heros", mixed with "Evangelion" and a bit of "Vandread". There aren't a whole lot of shows like "Legends of the galactic heros" besides maybe "Babylon five" so it's worth checking out.
This is one of my favs, given I have been watching anime since the late 60's that's saying a lot. All the Nodos and their hosts are OP. But Belcross's unique ability, (existence), sets him apart. It's impossible to erase his existence even with time travel. That makes him one of, if not the most powerful characters of any anime/manga, probably US comics as well. I tried the dubbed and as usually it was aimed at a younger audience. Subbed version changes the narrative slightly making it more mature.
so much like many of these anime its not about the beginning or end its about the journey in between. The questions and the answers and to find the path that ties them even with the death of many, life will always begin again. We always ponder as we strive for the knowledge that lays forth we either find its harmony or its destruction. It has happened many times and will continue even after we are gone. We will follow it or deny its truth!
One of my absolute fav. Story is great, music is great, art is good. I'm European and I suggested it to a Japanese living abroad, he couldn't believe he missed it and it's now his favorite.
Tbh this is in my top 10 favorites, I remember coming across it randomly years ago and after the first episode, even the intro I was hooked and binged it. Definitely a hidden gem with a good story imo also has dub.
Heroic age is pretty good to watch. Favorite parts is when bellcross vs lernaean and when bellcross goes into a frenzy. I'm lucky enough that I got the complete series on blu-ray
I watched this years ago. I agree that it's a hidden gem. Also I forgot the name of this story and it's not in the video or in the description. Anyone know the name?
this is one of the animes i wish they can bring back to light, one anime thats been underrated for many years, brilliant story, its a pity it was so short
Hilariously, Age is based on Hercules and one fan fic try to deal with…trying to adapt a Hercules story where he impregnated princesses in a kingdom but Age is a nice person who is chaste and struggle to fulfill that duty (not sure which but I found it on tvtrope).
The "tribe" part in that setting is reminiscent of the Canadian film garm wars: the last druid. No matter how advanced the civilization is, they still refer to themselves as tribes
Love Love LOVE this Anime! Years ago was wondering around Best Buy and for no reason other than the cover art bought the series. When I realized that the show is more about political intrigue and compromise with giant monster battles as a backdrop I was blow away. Princess Dhianeilla in my opinion is the lead and even before her powers evolved was one of if not the most "powerful" characters. All this and THE OST! Amazing!
This series is about trust, if you really pay attention all the bad things happened because trust was lost and all the problems were fixed when trust was once again established. Heck the opening scene of the series before the actual opening scene is a promise which is fulfilled if only you trust the show enough to watch it to the end.
He follows the gold clan the race who raise him to other dimension, his mission from the start is to let the humans win to govern the galaxy where earth is.
If I remember it right, he went through the gate to another dimension and then later return. The gate is there and all species can go in to follow the Golden Tribe if they meet all the requirement.
Also the anime didn't mention that Age and now Queen can live very very long time, far longer than most humans or other species. Age is still one of the few that can get close to the Queen.
This is very emotional video anime battles I bought the DVD many many years ago still have it just loaned it to a kid that is getting into anime unfortunately I didn't get it back but hey as long as he enjoys it and passes along
