The fact that this summary alone was so entertaining is a testament to the anime itself and your storytelling ability. Watching the Claymore one made me watch this one, and it was still suspenseful, even as a summary!
The fact Isabella can stay so professional at her job but actually break down knowing what she truly always wanted was happening which was the kids escaping shows how a person can be so condemned to do as their told rather than follow their heart. In the end she finally did.
I love how real the anime was. Emma passing out due to an ear infection, the demons dying from starvation, when your life is actually on the line you make life or death decisions, etc… First time watching this and couldn’t stop after pressing play. Glad Norman lived
The humans are pretty stupid in my opinion, if you have modern technology the humans can obviously kill all demons who seem to use swords, we in our society kill people for less important think but the humans in this anime world seem to not care about sending an army to save children?
@@GokuTheHusky they do this all the time they make the first few episodes like the manga then they either rush it or just leave it on a cliff hanger never to be answered.
I couldn’t forget the time when i was reading the manga and a freaking 4 year old Phil bravely and patiently awaits emma to save them whilst his promise to protect other kids. I really just couldn’t fathom the braveness of Phil knowing the whole reason of their existence as a produce to the demon. I couldn’t attend school that time cause my eyes were so sore crying cause of Phil’s brave face. 😭😭😭
man i watched the whole episode, when watching the promised neverland it seemed boring to me but watching you tell the story is so entertaining, keep it up fam
@@prinzebernardo5452 I didn't read the manga and didn't like S2. The first was so much better. S2 was crap. Irritating protagonist that after a lifetime of confinement, of their friends being killed by demons just forgives the demons. Too generic.
@@vidal9747 they lost me when the white haired kid revealed his vendetta against the demons I figured everything in this video would play out like it did. Too predictable unlike season 1 it was amazing
The manga was the masterpiece of the decade. The anime was also worthy of a gold standard in season 1. But, season 2 of the anime was too rushed and diverted too much from the original material.
@@BecauseIamHere they actually skipped the most important arc of the story and a few other mini arcs idk why they did it but was a waste of time… it isn’t that bad but not worthy
@@sebastiancarranza4116 I see. Thanks, should I check out the manga first then? I don't have a lot of time but if it's like you have said then it mite be worth it
@@BecauseIamHere Yeah. I mean the anime season2 just cut a bunch of arcs in the manga out. So there were a lot of characters that have never made it to the anime and the ending was different as well. One good thing is that you can watch the anime until the end, then read the manga without almost no spoilers.
After watching this I realize I've been surrounded by people who want nothing but fighting and war in their anime. I love the idea of people coming together to stand up against what basically looks like systemic oppression.
@@trazyntheinfinite9895 yes... Even slavery... where people were kept, bred, eaten, etc... was very systematic. It was just more direct than hiding behind a badge or refusing an applicant for having an ethnic sounding name.
I usually don't watch 30 minute videos fully without pausing, but this one I couldn't even pause because of how well you were explaining everything. Props to you!! Love this anime.
Even with all the plot points laid out and spoilers revealed I still really want to watch this! Thanks for this video. I probably wouldn't have been interested in this series with just a synopsis alone.
Me too at first when i watched it i felt so bored in the first few minutes not knowing the plot or what the anime is about but the first episodeode already hyped me up and i managed to watch everything in 2 days
I had a dream where I escaped from an evil orphanage once only I wasn’t scared of the evil orphanage at all but i was just constantly embarrassed by my athletic inability during the escape
It seems like the humans were winning the war against the demons and the demons kidnapped some humans to farm them and fled back to their world rather than the humans offering sacrifices in exchange for peace.
I was one of those that refused to watch it for years thinking it was for kids and silly, but i'm glad i gave it a chance after Cilvanis made a video about it making fun of exactly the type of guy i was😅. One of the best stories in anime for sure, season two left me feeling like there was more to tell tho...
I don’t have a lot of time anymore to watch anime, but i still see so many that i want to watch and enjoy. it’s still not quite the same, but your recaps really help with letting me experience them due to my time constraints. thank you!
my friend showed me the first episode and never told me the name so I have just been looking for it for quit a while, and you have completed my search. I thank you greatly
What they did to this show was absolutely criminal i still can’t believe it they rushed the show and skipped one of the best parts in the manga after watching the first season and how good it was I had to finish it 😩
I really love this manga. The intense between kids and adults is indescribable. But when it come to human vs demon its just too wide(?) like beastar where the plot inside school is spot on but in the outside world is too messy
The first season was amazing, I followed the manga shortly after. The second season they fumbled the ball and skipped a whole arc but ☝️they did alright wrapping up the series quietly after skipping so much content. Please read the manga 🤲
they did alright? they butchered it, worst anime sequel of the decade, even the tokyo ghoul sequels were better than whatever they released as a sequel. people should just read the manga
@@uibeast5374 It skipped literally the best arc. And this show/manga is about tension and drama outsmarting demons who outnumber you and have a major advantage on you. The arc the skip is the center point of that story. I started as anime only but after episode 1 of season 2 I was like fuckit I’m reading it and my GOD am I happy I did that. It’s so fucking good I was up till 6 am every night reading because I just HAD to know what was gonna happen next chapter. It’s that gripping and amazing. ESPECIALLY the arc the skip. That arc is where we meet the best villain of the whole show/manga and now he’s not in it?!??? Also skipping what they skip creates major holes. All those names you see on the wall? You’ll never truly understand that story involved in that detail. This studio can say all they want that they wanted to do something original but fuck that it’s just laziness. Or not understanding the source material. The arc they skip is like skipping the sasuke/itachi/madara arc in naruto. Like it’s just confusing. And remember how many obstacles the children ran into in season 1? How hard it was to escape?? Now they are out there being hunted and everything is being handed to them. That is NOT how the fucking manga goes and I truly don’t know how anyone can enjoy this season and not see the vast difference from season 1. Literally ruined it for me
@@YeahFireKoko so season 1 ends on chapter 37 but I reccomend you go through and start the the begging of the manga if your gonna read you will be shocked at the diffrances
that's not how the manga story went, they met norman much further ahead. and he formed a systimatic large organization that can fight toe to toe against the demons.
Season 1: I have set up triple contingencies just in case. Season 2: Wanders into forest randomly until ex-machinaed like 3 times in the first episode. It almost hurts how bad season 2 is compared to 1
@@jc8153 And they turned a whole arc into a slideshow of expositions, like "Here, they went to do that. Then, out there, this happened. Elsewhere, -.." just so they can wrap it all up in the second season. You might've noticed from the video, but it only seems normal since the video itself is in summary format.
This was a great summary! Unfortunately the anime dosent live up to the hype. How could they skip Goldy pond! Was really hoping to see Lewis in action 😢
Wait, there's season 2 for this? Hahahah! Gonna start watching now. Had to stop wathing this recap halfway though. Thank you! I rarely give thumbs up but this deserves one.
It was crazy to find out Ray’s big secret from when he was a baby. I had learned this was one of those shows that had its storyline drastically altered from the original source material, but it was still good nonetheless.💯
@@districtskzYou're making assumptions. What I said about Ray is all its own and has no connection to my storyline statement. I never stated Season 1 was altered, I said the “show's storyline was altered” and that is a completely true statement. Please, do not be one of those people who puts words in people's mouths.
@@stelixhyx808There’s no difference between our comments besides length and grammatical errors on your part, which are insignificant here. You mentioned paragraphs, but you didn't even do what you suggested yourself. Your comment isn't even a paragraph, let alone two. It’s just two phrases. Not even a sentence. So, what's your logic here or were you simply mistaken? Everything prior is based on one topic, just like my last comment: the idea behind your comment and my thoughts on The Promised Neverland, respectively, making them one paragraph instead of multiple. That's the idea behind my sentence structure.
THE PROMISED NEVERLAND, I saw this anime surprisingly. i discovered i suffered from hyperthymesia. And it all made sense to me after i researched it and oh my, this anime is pure gold because not only touch subjects of science but also child abuse and trafficking, abusive parents and emitional control, i watched this like it was my life story !!
The is a key character that was in the manga and he was a lone survivor from another factory that was first to find the underground base which later Emma and the others would live in also the is a whole ARC excluded when Emma loses everyone and ends up in a playground where demons play hunting kids who run away while trying their best to survive , the are more stuff that havent been added to the anime but this is still an amazing series
This anime has gotta be one of the best of all since it's well made although i didn't like the s2 final episode coz they took a massive shortcut and only showed slideshow photos of a scene where it'll literally take a whole new season or a few more episodes to finish but its a 9/10
The first season of Promised Neverland was astounding and became a fan of it from the jump! I loved it so much that I decided to go and read the manga and was even more into the story. It's a shame that the second season completely took a different direction to stay away from the original story by skipping so much while it being an overall mess...
I just finished this anime the day before yesterday, it was extremely good. I didn’t watch the 2nd season because it’s notoriously horrible and I didn’t wanna ruin my opinion on the anime.
@@anantchakravorty2522 it basically just became a slideshow and skipped minor/major parts from what I can remember. At least for why 2nd season was terrible
I'm really weak harted and I can't stand the mystery and tension in these types of stories but the fact that I enjoyed the summory more than the first few episodes really speaks for his talent in making these videos
Never watched the anime and prob never will, but I watched every second of this video and realized how good this anime actually is.. it is very unique and the plot twists are perfectly presented.. S-Tier for sure...
I’ve been watching these breakdowns loving that I get to enjoy more anime’s even though I don’t have the time to invest. This anime is gut punching. The breaking of the leg/knee, the harvesting, the deceit. It’s a lot and so good.
The second season was soooo bad but you some how made this enjoyable, so thanks! I read the manga before hand I just can't believe the botched the ending with a damn timelapse/montage. We could've easily have another 10 episode season to fulfil this arc. Smh
You are the best explainer and I understand the full story without seeing the whole episode and thank you so much for uploading and watching us freely 🤗🤗
I’ve seen a scene from this of ray singing or whistling a song and his mother wondering how he knew that song, but I haven’t seen the anime yet. That’s depressing ash. Not only are the maid caretaker mother people, taking care of human livestock, they are also forced to breed and send their own kids off
Probably one of my favourite Animes ever. Season 1 is without a doubt one of the best out there. And i haven't read the Manga but Season 2 was still solid to me and coherent in itself, but of course far worse than Season 1, and still i would say its one of the best Animes i have ever watched overall. Sadly that happens when time runs out, the Anime had to be cancelled or idk what came in the way. Its just super sad, because they left out so much potential!!!!
Season 2 was such a train wreck they didn’t know how to handle the rest of the story so they dropped it. Depending on licensing maybe another studio can redo it who knows
you should give the manga a chance, the difference is night and day. Imagine the last season of GoT and then imagine it being 10x worse. Thats basically s2 of the promised neverland vs the manga. Its like skipping the pain arc of naruto, or skipping enies lobby / water seven of one piece. The promised neverland simply skipped over the best arc, and was left with weird story threads that needed sometime. After the first 3-4 episodes, they skipped again to norman being alive reveal. im so glad i picked up the manga after s1, otherwise .......i would be in the same boat as you.
animals are easier to kill then humans. a smart human is something that can kill you with your own tools while the animal can be killed with tools of your own devices
@@LordSterben so definitely more dangerous, but at least humans are prey with guns. They won’t do a thing, but they’ll make you feel better as you’re eaten lol
I watched the anime thanks to this video, and I'm honestly surprised this isn't a longer running series. First time in a long, long time that I so thoroughly enjoyed an anime for the story and not the action, but even the animation was surprisingly topnotch 👍 Will be reading the manga later
I read all the manga and i heard that S2 got massive backlash but I didn't realize they diverted so much of the story. The manga was a lot more gritty and dark after they got outside of the farm, more kids died, they scrapped the hunting ground arc and Yugo who was an important character and also Norman wasn't revealed to the be alive until years later when they were teenagers. Also the ending was more bittersweet. For example Isabella (mother) sacrificed herself to protect Emma and the children before they left for the human world and Emma ended up losing her memories after she made a deal to seal off the human and demon worlds from each other - she did eventually reunite with her friends but she didn't remember who they were and it was an open ending whether she ever would.
@@chocopoco640 Goldy Pond was it's actual name and essentially when the kids found the bunker they lived in after escaping in S1 there was man who lived there called Hugo who had given up all hope after his friends were all killed as he was also a previous victim of a different farm. it turned out his friends were still alive in Goldy Pond for years and while starting out as cold and distant he eventually grew to care about the main cast and sacrificed himself later so they could get away when the armed soldiers came after them.
@@chocopoco640 the monsters created a hunting ground for humans and the royal familes and upper class members used to hunt for childeren in the hunting ground and there many secrets are revealed and to understand it you have learn about the underground shelter (manga)
This master piece is amazing I love that Emma Norman and ray despite being main characters aren't op like other anime I love how this anime actually had an ending unlike other animes that end the story off in a climax
They cut out the most important arc (Seven walls) and the best arc (Goldy pond) + cut out a lot more and changed the ending. The manga is a masterpiece and i 100% recommend it to ANYONE who enjoyed s1 of the anime or even if you havent watched it at all yet.
