Barry is somone who can make a take than you can disagree with but because he stays consistent with his criteria you can understand where he is coming from.
For those who don’t know hockey I’ll label Wayne’s most insane. Points are the combines total of goals and assists. If you take away every goal Gretzky ever scored from his career points, he’d still rank 1st all time in points by like 500
When he stated that D Rose didn't deserve his MVP in 2011 I thought that was an absurd statement that merits further examination. To be frank that exponential leap that he made from the 08-09 season to the 10-11 season was so outstanding that he may have a had a case for MIP.
That's reasonable, but it's also reasonable to say he didn't deserve that MVP. LeBron absolutely dwarfed his numbers in 2011, and Dwight may have even had a better case too. He was by far the best center in the NBA, won dpoy, and shot almost 60% from the floor. Lebron had him beat in ppg, rpg, spg, bpg, fg% (by a LOT), win shares, win shares per 48, PER, and every defensive metric possible. Rose has more assists, was probably flashier and more exciting, and took a worse roster to a better record than LeBron. Those were the biggest factors
@@calvinsimpson1301 That's a viable argument for Lebron and Howard however for me it's contingent upon Rose's production increasing in the manner in only his sophomore season and him leading that Bulls team to 60 wins and first in the East (obviously not the stronger of the two conferences) but rather outstanding especially with the newly formed Miami Big 3 with practically no second viable scoring option on his team. By no means am I stating that he should have won in landslide and can see the validity in the arguments for both Lebron and Howard but to state it was undeserved is quite hyperbolic.
A Derrick rose who's second best player being Joakim Noah. Led the the bulls to the #1 seed with the stacked Miami heat team absolutely deserved the MVP. Lebron fans make me sick with that narrative.
Crazy how he says ja is still so young rn and we don’t know how he’s gonna turn out but rose was the same age when he won his mvp. Crazy how much potential was there, I really think if he’s had a healthy career he would be seen as a top 10 pg all time.
idk if rose have any potential. He just lost his athleticism, he couldve developed a jumper with his innate playmaking that still is an all star point guard. But his career did not turn out that well. He is basically zion all potential relies on their athleticism
Rose undeserving his MVP was a reach. boozer and noah missed a HUGE chunk of the RS and boozer was trash in the playoffs too averaging 12 points SO... Rose did a HUGE carry job giving this franchise the top seed in the league. Deserved MVP.
I’d argue Cp3 is extremely underrated at this point. The level of disrespect he gets is ridiculous in comparison to other ringless guards. He’s arguable still a top ten point
he's a bronsexual , he makes guys like me who are Bron fans but are at least objective about his career look bad , love barry's content but i hate when he does that stuff
12:08 AI was on a team with no other scorers. He was the offense and the team was the defense. And if VC didn’t miss that shot. They wouldn’t have went to the finals.
2:58 the gap between his assist record and second place is larger than the gap from second place to twelth place. He also played as many seasons as Jason Kidd, who is second place, and chris paul, third, has only played 2 less seasons and is not going to pass stockton, if he were to average 10 assists and play every game for the rest of his career he would need to play 6 more seasons to beat stockton. it's a similar story for his steals record. to say it's just "he played long time" isn't correct, especially since he only began to start most of his games in his fourth season. heck he's no.2 for assists per game, only behind magic (and if you ignore seasons where stockton started less than half his games his apg is equal to magics)(edited to add he also has magic beat in terms of assists per 100 possesions over his career by a margin). led the league in assists for nearly a decade as well. frankly he's properly rated if not a bit underrated by people who just assume he only holds those records because he played for a long time.
@@housesuns-kings8480 It's the era he grew up with. Plus, as a sort of an influencer and youtuber, the media he's exposed to more make him love LeBron even more
Though people forget that competition against MJ became not as highly regarded as others because he simply crushed them. And there wasn't anyone who could come close to him to be able to even do what KD did to stop LeBron by joining the Warriors, because he didn't allow anyone to rise to any occasion, he used to continuously crush people's aspirations even during normal rs games. Something that Bron was never able to do, probably for character. I think this might be, in fact, the most important factor of his "killer instinct": it was on Mike's will that none grew enough to be able to challenge him
Also bro could you do a Kobe KG team up career sim? Before the lakers got Pau they wanted KG but KG himself said “Kobe didn’t call me” if you haven’t done this already
Iverson is so overrated, his entire career is based on the 2001 Season, that's it, he got past the 2nd Round once even tho he was one of the weakest conference ever in Basketball
Rose was one of those players if you watched you understood. He would take Howard to the rim possession after possession and get the and 1 on the dpoy when Howard alone could stop entire offensive game schemes. You either know why he got the mvp by or you look at the #'s and think you understood the game over a decade ago. Record matters, Rose deserves it and that's just my opinion.
On minute 7 I knew for sure he is a lebron fan because on his comment on overating stockton to so people can say Jordan had it tougth winning the ring and then his comment fsvoring Draymond and against curry lol
Once I heard that voice I had to click off. Barry is on level with Stephen A and Skip and all those idiots who just say shit to say shit and use certain jargon to make it sound like they know what they're talking about. I obviously don't disagree with everything he says but none of it comes from a true passion and appreciation for a sport like Jxmy or someone like that it just comes from the social media disease that just mind numbingly generic and opinion based yet displayed as factually based.
Homie goes back and forth between LeBron and Jordan all-time and thinks Steph is top 10 all time but Kobe isn’t and people think he has good takes lmfao
I think CP3 is legit objectively worse than Stockton. John got more stats than him, and yet, even if was a playoff looser like CP3, at least didn't sold 3-1 leads, and in the end he came two times in the finals, to CP one. So, Stockton way way underrated in my book
I dont like barry. He has an extreme bias towards bron. He undermines older nba players and players today, but cant think of a bad thing to say about bron
Fun fact AI wasn’t to make it to the finals 😂it was Rey Allen bucks that year but the nba didn’t wanted a small market team to face Kobe n shaq and AI would bring more viewers. It was rigged. AI is overrated.
Objectively he is overrated. He had one good year but people call him a Hall of famer because “IF” he was good. I understand his injury was sad and out of his control but by that logic every player who would have been goated “IF” they didn’t suffer injuries in nba history should be hall of famers
@@ghostaccountlmao Eh even if you agree peak Kawhi is above Durant (hot take on its own) he's been healthy as a number 1 option for 2 playoff runs in his career. It would be interesting to see how people would rank Kawhi if he did get a chip with the clips tho.
@Orange Juice i respect his solo accomplishments in the timberwolves I’d say that part he’s “properly rated”Just pushing the fact that he overrated that one championship too much. They underperformed as a super team.
Aight let me argue some shit about Draymond Green. He is basically the modern day Robert Horry only he is only getting his rings from one team(as of now). Neither had AMAZING stats but did things to make the team better over all. Now with this said just like Robert Horry is not and should not be in the HoF neither should Green.
