The 7th playoff team sucks- the tournament is diluted. And the 17 game season sucks- too many games for the players, resulting in this wild card round being bland and slow, not like the playoffs should be. Where's the limit? The 18 game season is coming. Is 20 too many? 25, 30? Rotating rosters and 365 games a year? How many games is enough? It's only about money for the NFL.

Venusian temperature take: abolish divisions, abolish interconference play, 15 game season with two bye weeks, top 8 teams in each conference make it to the dance. The NFL did it in the 1982 strike season and a 6 seed made it to the AFC Championship game, the last time that would happen until Pittsburgh did it in '05-06. It'll never happen, but it'd be neat.

The Bills beat the Chiefs early in the year. I think the Chiefs have unfinished business with the Bills. 5:56 I think that's oversimplifying it. OSU had no reason to pick Burrows over their other bounty of choices. I would say that there is no reason to believe Burrows would do better than Dwayne Haskins if Burrows had been chosen as the starter. OSU has the best talent in the league for certain, but the play calling and general strategy are very annoying to watch every week as a Buckeye fan. Being in an atmosphere like that would make any great player worse by being around certain narrow minded offensive coaches. At the point OSU coaching is at, it messes with your whole learning foundations.

I have no hate or anger towards Joe Burrow as an OSU fan. I’m not even a Bengals fan but Joe has become my favorite player to watch his rookie year and this year. Do I have regrets that we never started him at Ohio State? Yes, but at the same time we have no way to tell if he would’ve performed similarly to the way he played at LSU.

I don't think that the Chiefs or the Buc's are going to get into the SB. Although I would like to see the Buc's do it again. There are so many great teams this year. I just see these 2 teams as the least best out of the ones that are left. They do have experience though. Packers I think will make it. Not sure about the other conference. Maybe the sleeper team, Titans!

If someone wants the Buccs to win the super bowl, everything is going according to plan. Bills get the Chiefs in round 2 (I think Bills win), 49ers beat the Cowboys (as I predicted) so they get to deal with the Packers, and Buccs get winner of Rams-Cardinals (I predict Cardinals to win but its if-fy), Buccs beat the Cards at home, so the hope is NFCC between Buccs and 49ers. I think the Buccs can handle the 49ers at home. They have the personnel if healthy to respons to Shanahan's run schemes and attack Jimmy in crunch time. And then they have THE guy to have in crunch time that is Tom Brady. And I doubt the 49ers have the Packers' once-in-a-decade luck of Brady having a 3 INT playoff game. So the prediction is Buccs win that game and get back to the super bowl.

I don't think adding a 7 was a mistake. I like that the bye is more competitive. For like a decade straight only one and two seeds made the super bowl. And many years the team in a one slot pretty much had it locked up with like 5 weeks to go. Yes it will probably be the case that more often than not the 2 7 will be a blowout but you're still rewarding the number two seed with a lesser opponent. Also there have been a few years where a conference has had easily seven strong teams. Having two bye teams had its issues. I disagree that adding one was a mistake.

This is a great point. 2 seed doesn’t get the bye but they get an easier game. It may not always be appointment viewing but it holds the competitive advantage nicely. This was also a weird year anyway. Niners bucs would have been a much better game had the matchups fell differently, same with kc vs San Diego

And then during the season it makes teams have to be more competitive to get the one seed rather than teams feeling like if they get the one or the two seed they have a pretty good shot of getting to the super bowl either way. And let's face it we don't get that many NFL games every year and even if your team's not that good it's just cool to see more teams get a chance at the playoffs. Also it's funny because people bitch about college football needing to be expanded and now they're whining that the NFL didn't need to be expanded.

BB is one of if not the best coach the NFL has ever seen. FACT! And yes they both made each other better. That is what great player coaches combos do IN ALL OF SPORTS! Marino and Shula, Montana and Walsh etc etc etc etc etc. Together they were obviously better, alone they are still tops at what they do in a coach and QB. Joe like Josh or mahomes will have to have career best games to beat the Titans if they just show up normal and do the average play. Titans are the only afc team that can stop them from making to the sb. Its harder to figure the nfc cause any given day they can beat each other. Its not so cutt and dry.

As a buckeye, players develop and improve at different rates, especially in college, and Dwayne Haskins was better (AT THE TIME) than Burrow. Also, Haskins had no trouble whooping TTUN. Burrows got a buckeye bachelor’s degree and is born and bred in Ohio, so we can definitely claim him as a guy. Not saying he isn’t LSU’s guy as well, it’s just really easy to like him.

Not going to happen. 49ers aren't surviving in NFC with Stafford, Brady, and Rodgers still left in bracket. Garropolo ain't out dueling any of those 3, and definitely not 2 of them in back to back weeks.

The logic used to justify the extra playoff team is terrible. By that logic, why not have 24 teams in the playoffs. Who cares about tons of blowouts making actual playoff games unwatchable.

I'm a Bronco fan,but the Patriots really aren't that talented anymore. I don't think Bellicheck is being exposed-I think they wildly overachieved,cuz they have such a great coaching staff...but we're then exposed late in the year. They don't have playoff talent. Mac Jones will probably improve,& be fine...but as a rookie,without a great surrounding offensive cast...he just isn't ready for big boy football,which is fine. Making the playoffs,& taking your lumps is how it usually goes...he will grow from this.

Bengals players and coaches WAY too cocky after barely beating a sub-par Raiders team with problems of their own. That was a regular season game, not a playoff game. Give me a break.

The Patriots can't improve. Belichick is one of the greatest coaches ever, he will almost always get the best out of you. That said, he cannot identify talent, either in free agency or the draft. A player has to be incredibly obviously great for him to notice, and those players are almost always drafted too high for his well coached team to be able to get.

KC looked really good, BUT...this Steelers team is imo, is one of the worst playoff teams of all time. They have TJ Watt and a coach who can get the most out of his players. That's about it. Ugly, ugly wins all year that required the other team to flop, barely over .500 an offense AND defense that rank in the 20's. Testament to Mike Tomlin for taking Big Bens corpse to the post-season, but without his coaching, lets just say every team is coached well, the Steelers would probably be the 12th-13th best team in the confernce. Buffalo...they looked NUTS. NUTS. It's going to be a good one next week in KC, I would say almost a toss up. But the Bills are the best team in the AFC, scratch that the NFL, when they're clicking. And they appear to be clicking. CLICKING. First in total defense and fourth in total offense.

The Bills are the first team to ever only score TDs and it was against Belichick and a great defense. Mind boggling since they had no run game and didn't look like AFC favorites during the season
