Watching the entire episode, it looked like after Katie Porter made a joke, something about we are having to deal with Bill because his mother made the choice not to abort him, he was outwardly upset. It showed on his face and even going into New Rules he didn't look himself. My own guess is that he just couldn't wait to wrap it up. Just my own observation as a big fan of Bill and the show.

Not so much. Your cable/satellite content is already bundled for you. Early adopters of online video got spoiled like all disruptive tech adopters do. But industry is simply reverting back to the mean. various networks bundled together you buy as you like. with more freedom to go ala carte this time. The integration of all Google content across it's services, same with FB, is what makes them hard to break. That cross-app data and social network is invaluable. Each individual product can easily have a competitive market. It's the data and established network effect that is hard to break.

Meaning the only way AI using machine learning can get better and be better is centralized aggregation of data, hence the navigation app example. Obviously streaming service doesn't fall into that category, so there needs to be specific type of solution for each area of tech... but then you'll need something like OTA which the fed got rid off in the 90s, for insanely stupid reasons...(save money)...
