I loved seeing Barret hit that clutch 3. Great team play. It was a good tournament. Also wasn't everyone saying Dillion Brooks can't shoot. He got crucified for being a competitor. Now Memphis starts the year without their backcourt.

Even more so once he neglected to face media who were dying to give it to him once Lebron / LA knocked 'em out. Memphis wasted no time disassociating themselves from him, in an unnecessarily public fashion. Shaq declared that he'd be bounced from the L and lucky to play in China.
Well it's not like USA best basketball players was on this team, because I didn't see Steph, lebron, kd, Jimmy buckets, booker, and so many more players out there.🤷🏽

That was something else but he had a couple other performances this tournament i didnt expect either. Hes a different kinda dude and thats what started his villain arc, but only a blind man would deny his heart and love for the game after this tournament. He'll be around a long time but ill only cheer for him internationally lol
I hope Andrew Wiggins is watching. Wiggins, Murray, Gilgeous Alexander, Barret and Brooks would be a deadly small ball line up for the Olympics. Add Dort, Mathurin, Nemhard, Olynek, Powell and Brandon Clark. That team can get the silver at least.

This is 3rd or 4th tier- at best. That being stated, I don’t mind other countries winning the FIBA. Creates great trash talk before the Olympics.

First, credit to both teams for both of them being professional and making a real effort , rather than being indifferent . Second, it is nice to see Dillion Brooks have scoring success in the tournament which is effecitively a return to his college years and the first few years of his NBA career. I am not sure if it will continue with respect to the NBA ( as FIBA is a different game) but happy for him. Given the number of teams that wil be getting reinforcements it should be a very competitive Olympics . I personally do not believe that most the top older American NBA will play as they have won Gold and had the Olympic experince so "been there done that" especially after a grueling season. The main additions will likely be Booker and Tatum but the addition of Booker effectively will eliminate minutes for Edwards . Because of the difference between the Fiba rules, officiating , and coaching (strategy) while the Americans woould be the favorite if I had to place a nominal bet I woultd take the field .
I'm beginning to think Dillon Brooks is like a more evil version of Lance Stephenson. If he actually spends his energy focused on the actual game instead of trolling/injuring players he might be close to an all star level.
My grandpa yesterday said he thinks Bob petit is still the best nba player in history. I said who’s that. He said look him up so I did and this guy Bob Pettit was amazing. A top 15 player in nba history for sure but I still think Lebron is the best nba player in history by far.
