Overwatch 2 Mauga Cinematic Trailer A Great Day Reaction 

The way Sombra talks about the ship it seems like it was heading back to its base but couldn't reach it because of the damage sustained in the Gottenburg story mission. The scenery behind the ship at 1:46 looks like it crashed near an island coast, possibly near the British isles (A damaged ship probably wouldn't get too far). Within the 25 minute time frame (Sombra tells the story in 5 minutes) and accounting for improved future tech as current Overwatch takes place in 2064 give or take a few years, it still doesn't make sense for them to reach Samoa on time. But who said they were going to Samoa? The islands that Mauga jumps to look mountainous and tropical. But just because he is from Samoa doesn't mean for sure that's where he's going. The formation of the islands at 7:02 and the tropical looking environment could actually be the islands of Guadeloupe. Unfortunately my theory has one glaring weakness. "You know where to find me!" This line implies that he's going somewhere that he either frequents or lives. While he could have a place in the Caribbean, the Samoa map in game basically confirms that he lives in Samoa still. This leaves us with a couple different possibilities. 1) The Null sector ship is in the British Isles and Mauga is going to Guadeloupe. 2) The ship is in the Caribean and Mauga is going to Samoa. Either the damaged ship flew across the entire Atlantic ocean or Mauga has a place in the Caribbean that we don't know about. All this culminates to say, yes it is crazy that they got from the ship to Mauga's destination in 20 minutes. Did I spend way too much time looking at maps and lore to figure this all out? Yes. Did I do all of this and find that it's ultimately meaningless because Blizzard didn't think anyone would notice? Also yes. And finally did I just write a 3 paragraph essay just to respond to a comment only to find out that it was right? Absolutely. But was it worth it? ...not really.
