Just to be clear Hanzo and Genji are not the dragons, the dragon story is just metaphor for Genji and Hanzo story Hanzo even said here "real life is not like the stories our father told us" refering to the story of dragon Brothers, so no they are not dragons but they have some dragon power that only members of their family can control (we don't know yet what is the source of their power)
i think your right when you say the story isnt true. hanzo and genjis dad who is also the narrator told them that story to teach them a lesson to forgive people and yourself. to put a seed in their head so they wouldnt end up fighting for power when they were older. but it ended up being more of a prophecy. the father was actually a good leader and protected hanamura and kanezaka. but when he died the shimada went down hill. i think its interesting tho that only shimada can use the dragons. i would like to know why. clearly its magic related. also always wondered why hanzo had 2 dragons but i guess thats because he does in game. it may be that the dragons are technology related… stemming from genjis blade made by kirikos dad… or hanzos arrows/bow… but at the same time the fox spirit is definetly magic so. i wouldnt be suprised if the dragons were
@@DannyConcepts the technology would make sense but Hanzo dragon is showing from his tatto so this can't be a technology thing and now thanks to Kiriko we know that magic really exist in Overwatch universe
@@toamszkozak8822 yeah overwatch used to go by the idea that everything in the universe is technology even if it looks like magic but they are strafing away from the idea with ow2 and kiriko. So its fair to say that while hanzo and genji dragons were originally supposed to be technology, it is now considered magic / mythological powers.
@@ashonline77 I don't agree, I mean even in this cinematic Hanzo said "Only Shamada can control the dragons" meaning that it's only their family members can do this, if in the beggining this was supposed to be technology than this line doesn't make sense, so magic concept had to be already their these few years back we just didn't knew it back then
@@toamszkozak8822 this is what most people thought at first but everything in OW initially being said as technology isn't an opinion of mine so there's no point in disagreeing with it. Some of the overwatch devs did once confirm on an OW forum that it's not magic. I'll quote the answer from screenwriter Michael Chu and model artist Renaud Galand when asked about whether the dragons are tech or magic : "it's definitely not magic" Although i agree that "only the shimada can control the dragons" doesn't make that much sense in this context but it could be that they wanted to lean into the idea of Japanese ancestralism. Later on years after the initial comment another dev commented "Magic is a tricky word that means different things to different people. That being said, not everything in overwatch can or needs to be explained by technology (in my opinion)." it seems clear to me that initially they wanted to have overwatch as a universe that is scientifically so advanced that you cannot distinguish between magic and technology. However they slowly started going away from this idea as years passed and with the release of overwatch 2, fully left behind the idea and confirmed the existence of spirit magic like kirko, hanzo and genji. So the fact is that both statements "its tech" and "its magic" are true except one was the truth of the past and the other is true now.
The reason why the Moon had markings in "Hero" was because of the moon base on it. Its the one Winston the monkey/scientist grew up in. Please watch the rest of the Animated Shorts! Its fun to see someone totally new to the game react, as we as someone who's played some and has some ideas about what is going on. The ones I would suggest "Rise and Shine" , "Honor and Glory" and "Infiltration". And then once you've watched enough, the animated trailer "Zero Hour" where they announced Overwatch 2!
He was 76 soldier in America Genetic Modification Program to enhance their skills in a battle. Reaper for example was also part of the program, his codename was Soldier 24, so probably he was genetically modified earlier, when those modification wasn't fully develop - he probably suffer from that program.
another word for vigilante, soldier is an anti-hero. He is good at heart but still does his own thing and goals which are sometimes selfish and bad for others
i know im pretty late, but soldier 76 was part of a supersoldier program in which he was the 76th, they were all assigned a number i believe 1 through 100
just for you information. you said genji the right way the first time and changed it to the wrong way lol. "Gen" of "Genji" is pronounced with the G sound of "Game" not the G sound of "Gem"
Literally screaming at your girlfriend coz shes busy fucking asking questions DURING THE BEST PART WHEN SOLDIER SAYS "NOT ANYMORE" WITH THE EPIC MUSIC, GOD JESUS FUCKING LORD AMEN NAZARETH JOLLIBEE CHRIST.
