Demoman actually has a whole subclass called Demoknight, where he trades his grenade launcher and stickies for a shield that lets him charge and boots to increase his health, his different swords and the axe are meant to be used on Demoknight and compliment the play style in different ways.
Fun note about the Dead Ringer: it came out along with the "Meet the Spy" video. While the effects in the video make it pretty clear that in fact the Blue Spy was NOT the Red Spy pretending to die to the Soldier's shotgun, killing and replacing the Scout while nobody else was paying attention, and really was disguised as the Scout from the start... it was among the possible plays. One of the most important things about playing a Spy is making sure the other side knows there definitely is an enemy Spy somewhere around. You can get as much mileage out of the paranoia as from what you really do.
Ah Pyro my second main the most a fun class that gets hate for several reasons but isn't as bad as people make them out to be in my experince. Also I would totally like to see you do a video playing TF2.

9:45 Amazing how he also said the same time for Spy while in reality Pyro alongside Spy and Heavy makes TF2's holy trinity of the weakest classes in the entire game. Meanwhile Medic is the strongest class in the entire game, followed by the holy trinity of Demoman, Soldier and Scout. With Engineer and Sniper being the middle ground.
To be fair, Pyro is totally fine while heavy has glaring issues. Ask any comp soldier what they do not want to go against, and its a good pyro. Roamers are shut down, the demo is shut down somewhat, and the frontline soldier and the two scouts gotta deal with him. The only problem is your losing your own scout or frontline soldier to do that, which is too big of a power loss usually since pyro isn't very good vs scout.

yes, you can reflect all you want....so long as you have ammo. Airblast cost is dependent on the primary equipped. Stock uses 20 ammo, degreaser 25, backburner 50, and dragon's fury takes five....but dragon's fury also only has a max ammo of 40 in comparison to the 200 the others have.
Spy indeed does have a watch that fakes his death. It's called The Dead Ringer. Basically Spies invisibility is a toggle with mouse 2. You click it once to turn on and then again to turn off. He has two watches that do this but they each work a little different from one another. The Dead Ringer though is drastically different. Whereas the other two watches provide invisibility on demand, the Ringer has to be triggered. You activate it and the watch gets held out in Spies hand, while it is active though he cannot shoot or stab. If he takes any damage at all while it is active then a fake ragdoll will spawn ontop of him the moment he turns invisible. He also gains a temporary boost in speed to help him out of danger and takes significantly less damage for a short duration after it is activated. The drawback to it is you cannot replenish the invisibility with ammo while it is active, the invisibility duration is much shorter, and it makes a very loud sound when the cloak runs out alerting enemies to your position. It also cannot be activated again until it restores its charge. It was meant to be a tool to allow spies to play more aggressively and fool people. It offers protection on getting in behind the enemy but forces you to win your fights while its unusable or go back to spawn on a one-way ticket. Unfortunately, it did not quite work as intended when Valve introduced it, or at least that's not what people utilized it for. On release the watch was insanely broken. Picking up an ammo box or two was enough to refill the charge almost instantly, and spies would abuse the damage reduction, basically baiting out things that would do the most damage like rockets, fire damage, triggering the watch and then instantly dropping the cloak to grab an ammo box, and then reactivate it again. On the right pathing, a spy could virtually kite a poor bastard around the map indefinitely and never die. The cheese one was able to do with the item earned it the label of being a crutch whenever someone used it. Most players hated fighting against it, and all but the scummiest of trolls who played spy also disliked how reliant the class became on it. Thankfully valve would eventually nerf it into its current incarnation, giving some tweaks to how it functions and stopping the issue of picking up ammo indefinitely. A lot of people now gripe that it is now too weak to even consider using but it certainly seems to function much more reasonably in the game. Good or bad are opinions often lobbed about virtually every item in the game, but every weapon has a niche role to fill and can be useful in the hands of someone brave and or crazy enough to make it work... Except for the Pomson, that thing is shit on a garbage can.

8:32 no, pyro only has 200 flamethrower ammo max and each airblast consumes 20 of it so you'll eventually have to restock on it. 9:17 scotman's skullcutter. it has a 20% damage bonus but makes you 15% slower. Also it counts as a "sword" which means that it has greater range but also slower deploy and holster speed. 15:11 that's a feature exclusive to the dead ringer watch: opening it up prevents spy from using weapons but doesn't do anything. however once spy takes damage when it's open he becomes invisible and gets a brief speed boost but from enemy perspective it looks like he just died normally due to the effect's activation also causing the spy to drop a fake corpse and even a fake killfeed pop up in the corner. however if the escape doesn't go so well.... the spy is kinda defensless as for the intro question... yea sure! tf2 gets chaotic and it's always a blast seeing new people live through it.
@@formattedorc Oh yeah...The Spy still takes a fraction of the damage that would have killed him outright, but if his health is low enough anyway, even that fractional damage can kill him.

The dead ringer is a watch the replaces his invis cloak with a pocket watch that if you take damage while it's out. You get a damage resistance buff, cloak, a speed boost, and fire damage and afterburn resistance for a few secs excluding cloak that is lost when the cloak meter is drained. Upon "Death" a ragdoll appears at the place you "died" at and The person that "Killed" you gets a notification in the kill feed that they killed you. And the leaderboard and match HUD tells the server you are dead. But due to it's nature and the fact it came out a long time ago (2011 I believe) it' been less of a death faker and more of a "Get out of jail free card"
I would love to see you play tf2! I would recommend playing medic, heavy, or pyro for the first bit. Medic is helpful so long as you are healing, so it decently and your team will love you! Heavy is a solid 300 hit points, and he’s got a massive F*****G GUN! Just point and watch the enemies melt away. But watch out for spies… Pyro. There is a reason that the W+m1 meme is so prevalent. Pyro has a lot of tools for comboing, but he also has one of the lowest skill floors. _____________________________ After getting comfortable with one/all of the above classes, I would recommend demoman, soldier, or engineer. Demoman is a master of explosives. If you want a sentry to be destroyed, use demo! Want to set an explosive trap? Use demo! With a decent health pool and two primary weapons, he is a true powerhouse. It can be a little tricky learning to use solely projectiles, but a good demoman can shut down a choke point single handedly. Soldier has a rocket launcher. That’s a pretty good reason, I think. Rockets with large splash damage and high damage, but speed is wanted for. Luckily, if you shoot the ground beneath you while crouch jumping, you will be sent flying, and rocket jumping is one of the most satisfying movement techniques in all of gaming! Engineer focuses on supporting his team through buildings. The teleporters, which get teammates to the front lines faster. The dispenser, which grants your team ammo and health. And the sentry, a truly fearful sight. A level 3 sentry can shut down entire pushes, and has perfect aim and MASSIVE damage. You do have to learn to manage your metal resources, though… Oh, and you get two secondary weapons, so don’t go rushing into the enemy, you are wanting for firepower without your sentry. _____________________________ Lastly, I would recommend not starting with scout, sniper, or spy, as tempting as it may be. Scout has a high skill floor, as he is a low hp class, but he deals massive burst damage and is the fastest class in the game. He even has a double jump! But if you can’t hit your scattergun shots, or don’t dodge, you will die quick. Scout burns bright and quick, or like a cockroach that scurries under your fridge when you are this close to killing it. The easiest of the “high skill floor” classes, though. Give it a try! Sniper is the only long range class in the game, with the ability to insta-kill any class from any range so long as a medic doesn’t interfere. However, hitting headshots is very difficult, and in close range you have very little firepower, so expect to die to soldiers, scouts and spies frequently. Also, your rifle literally gives you tunnel vision, so spies have an easier time backstabbing you. A good sniper can ruin an entire lobby, however. He’s kinda op. Spy, like sniper, can insta-kill all classes, however he needs to be directly behind enemies to kill them. Usually. He uses disguises, invisibility watches and electro-sappers (don’t use the red tape recorder) to cause chaos and backstab as many poor teammates as possible. However, if he gets caught, or there is a pyro anywhere on the map, spy is instantly sent to hell, where the French belong. _____________________________ Hope this guide helps a little on selecting your first class if you start playing the funny hat simulator with FPS elements, and explains a little if you didn’t learn it all in the “what it feels like to play” series :P
You can reflect as many projectiles as you want, as long as you have enough ammo. Depending on what flamethrower you're using, the airblast will consume a different amount of ammo (except for the Phlogistinator, which has no airblast).

15:15 Yeah instead of a proper cloaking form the stock watch you drop a fake corpse of your class, gain 75% resistance for 3 seconds before going down to the 20% the other watches have, and a 3 second speed boost. However the watch upon decloak makes a loud AF sound so it's best used for retreats instead getting behind enemy lines. I use it as a gun spy ( a spy who uses their revolver more than the knife cause of TF2's melee hitreg is absolute dogshit).
Honestly if you know what your doing you can be downright unstoppable for people by playing pyro. Yes that was a battle axe all classes i think have at least one subclass the one i can think of right now are pyro shark, battle engineer, battle medic and the most famous one demoknight And you should check out tf2 vs overwatch explained with food by Dougdoug
Pyro is one of the weaker classes to play (but still like an 8.9). All the TF2 classes minus spy are very close to each other though in power. Tier list of best classes. (mind you, most are still in the 8.5-10 range, except spy whos like a 5 or a 6). and tf2 classes are way more balanced than OW ones. The top 7 for Tf2 for example are equiv of OW meta. Medic/demo/soldier/scout are the common picks, with sniper/engineer/pyro being counterpicks and heavy being a last stand or team anchor depending on team size. Then spy is just... there. You should play Tf2 for sure! For your first experience though, I recommend looking up some community servers to hop into. Valve official servers are unfortunately having a cheating bot problem.
Ok so tf2 has a minor flaw with playing it. Bots. To sum the problem down to its absolute core. about 40-60% of servers are filled to the brim with "Bots". AI players who are usually sniper, who immediatelly kill you if you enter their sightlines. Although i do think you should play, and record your first playing of it... This can be really fucking annoying to play against and its good to know about it before you start playing. There is the alternative of playing "Uncletopia" Servers. which are servers meant to replicate casual mode, except... without bots basically. made by a popular tftuber "Uncle Dane" But these servers also have... "Issues" First of all, generally speaking players on uncletopia are better then casual. Second it has no random crits. Which most people enjoy being off. so its not really *true* casual
15:25 Note that Spy always loses his disguise when he shoots or swings his knife. However, if he has the "Your Eternal Reward" (Y.E.R.) knife equipped, he can instantly take on the disguise of anyone he backstabs. A Y.E.R. Spy is sometimes called a "Bodysnatcher", as this is much less of a mouthful.
