If I may explain the context behind the gamemode, the robots are controlled by a character named Gray Mann the brother of both teams bosses Blutarch and Redmond, Mann vs Machine takes place after Gray killed both of them in an attempt to take control of their family's company Mann co prompting Mann co CEO Saxton Hale to employ both teams to defend the company
@@KingdomAceyeah but play with friends who just want you to have fun. Lots of mann v machine players have developed metas and some of them will kick you from lobbies based on what weapon you pick. Some people…
Jungle Inferno was a big Pyro update. They reworked the way fire works and gave him some new weapons. There was a vote before hand to see if heavy or pyro would be the focus, and pyro won, with heavy getting an item called “the second banana” which is like a mini sandvich. Poor heavy is still waiting for his update.
The only reason tf2 is still floating is by the community, but we don't know how to keep it going forever. It's sad to think that this awesome community will die someday
@Jacob Hutchings seriously though, you don't need to be all doom and gloom. Tf2s player base has actually grown since jungle inferno, were getting a new update, and someone is working on a very promising community anti cheat.
In tf2, there is an element that is called Australium essentially. It's a type of metal that releases a special form of radiation. It would affect the body and mind, essentially turning whoever is exposed to it into a superhuman. Saxton hale is a superhuman
It can also extend the natural lifespan of those who are affected by the radiation Redman,Bluetarc, And Grey man plus the administrator are the only people to have shown to use this affect
Before the jungle inferno update, valve had a small event called “Meat Your Match” it was a type fighting pole between pyros and heavies, the class who got the most kills would get an update and new weapons. Pyro won, so he got 3 weapons. Heavy may have lost, but he also got a new “weapon”
Pyro got 4 new weapons, actually. Jetpack, Gas Passer, Hothand and Dragons Fury. And the Second Banana is actually a pretty good weapon too for solo heavies.
Mvm is such a fun mode with an entirely unique Meta! Weapons that normally get passed aside like the Gas Passer, Scottish Resistance, Beggars Bazooka, Fan O War, Brass Beast, Overdose or the Cleaners Carbine (just to name a few) are like entirely new Weapons in the mode!
I like using the overdose in MvM. Mad pilk syringes are seriously slept on. Being able to mark a target with milk so easily and for almost free is amazing. The speed bonus is a nice bonus as well.
It's not just an event, but one of the main game modes in game now. PvE with two modes, with 1 of those modes allowing you to earn bragging rights via special weapons. It's fun and has a lot of planning to it.
MvM is a super fun game mode. There’s two ways to play- boot camp, which is free, and mann up which requires a $2 tour of duty ticket but you can get sweet loot from completing it. The premium version can be full of sweaty nerds concerned with optimal loadouts though.
@@garbage2882 You may get actually loot after completing a tour consisting of 3 to 6 mission, but that doesn't mean that you get nothing when completing the individual missions. Every tour will give you a unique weapon with a small chance at a unique hat. Two cities add in robot parts on top of that weapon or hat.
@@redstonewarrior0152A weapon costs 0.055 ref, a key costs 79ref. The only times the robo parts make a difference, is when you want to use them in the killstreaks or when you get a rare part, which is pretty rare. And most hats from MvM is at most like 2 ref.
That's the thing, they don't care about optimal. Most of those players will kick pyros using a gas passer despite it being the strongest secondary weapon in pyros loadout in mvm.
I would've watched this live, except by the time I saw you were streaming, it was practically done, and I was about two thirds through your emesis blue reaction. Then I just forgot about it untirely until now, lmao.
No worries! Kinda why I made sure to record everything I reacted to on stream so they can all go up as their own individual edited videos! I hope you enjoy 🙏❤
I'm A Heavymaniac & A Pyromaniac, Also A Medicmaniac & A Engineermaniac, For Heavy Just Hold The Firing Button In Mouse Until My Hand Hurts, For Pyro Just Spraying Fire With Phlogistinator (I Think That Was It Called) Until My MMMPH Bar Full, For Medic Just Enable The Option In Advanced Option Where If We Heal Someone You Don't Have To Hold The Firing Button In Mouse, For Engineer Just Straight Up Being A Battle Engie & A Defend Engie (I'm Also A Battle Medic)
Im always equally overjoyed when some reactor discovers TF2 I really love this specific reaction subject. You really should watch CrashMaul sfms. In order, thats neccessary. First is ''the Rise of the epic scout'', then its ''meet rabid heavy taming engineer'' and then ''fight for sawmill''. Its like mini series. Im still waiting years later for episode four but thats just typical sfm watcher life.
What’s really sad, is that they were originally going to have the mixed team colours in the game mode, but it fucked with people’s team colour recognition and started attacking teammates, so they had it as red vs blue coloured robots
MvM is a Co-op gamemode that pits 6 players against an army of AI controlled killer robots. The goal is to solve multiple pre-defined waves of enemies without letting them carry a bomb all the way to your HQ. Taking too long and the bots will power up over time, so efficiency is essential. Bots are fueled by money, and killing them lets you gather wads of cash to upgrade yourself and your weapons. Players cannot change class during a wave, so team composition matters! For all those who say it's like Overwatch 2's co-op, it's not. Over2's co-op mode is a narrated survival experience, where 4 players have to complete a goal without everyone being down or dead by AI controlled robots. Players cannot change classes after the game starts, so team comp matters! The team is offered 3 lives in order to complete the mission, unless playing on the highest difficulty setting. Bots spawn are the same no matter the difficulty, with 2 enemy type variations possible.
The funnest part of the Mann Vs. Machine gamemode is all the ways the weapons you can equip can be upgraded in various ways, often radically so, that really help amp up your AoE or damage or health in lots of cool ways
This video was livestreamed here on RU-vid! I'll be streaming some TF2 @ 1PM ET TODAY! Make sure you click the Reminder button HERE: ru-vid.comji6Gp6Dsdl8?feature=share
when it comes to man vs machine, you can pay money to get kill streak kits, gold items (aka australiums), weapons with robot heads attached, including a rare chance of getting a golden pan that turns people into gold. all of them counts kills when you get them and they have different levels of how much kills you get. the highest level is hale’s own which it’s at 8,500 kills
Random fact: in the tale of 2 cities trailer, you can see heavy holding golden minigun at the end,it is a rare reward that can be drop in 2 cities operation/2 cities also the first operation to drop this kind of golden gun
MvM is a coop wave survival mode there are 2 versions boot camp (the free version) and Mann Up mode which needs a Mann up ticket to play but beating all "missions" within a tour will give a garanteed strange weapon with a chance for kill streak kits or the golden "aultraliums" which are a VERY rare drop
Rein should eat his heart out. Medic's shield is not only capable of blocking bullets and projectiles (fire is unimpeded), it is also capable of dealing damage enough to shred through tanks. It allows Medic to attack, defend, and support all at the same time. And by support, I don't mean protect your teammates from enemy fire. I mean heal your teammates *while* you protect them from enemy fire. One thing of note with the shield, players and robots can walk through it. Be very careful of anything that gets too close. A nice detail to remember with the shield is that you can choose how far it sits from you. Looking up or down will move the shield closer to you while looking level with the horizon will place the shield at the max distance. Pull the shield in if the robots are invading your space more than you want. Something absolutely hilarious with the medic shield is how it remains active during taunts and how you can still position it with your camera. A shield bash strat is to find a nice spot the robots are going to travel through and perform a looping taunt while looking down to the ground.
Fun fact as of now, TF2 got another major update, people say it is not but that is very much copium. Now we can even have 100 player servers and other funny stuff.
so tf2 managed to put pve in their game no sweat, made their entire game free, and managed to make compelling lore for each of the characters. overwatch basically stole everything about tf2 and slammed it into their own game and still managed to fuck up pve, managed to fuck up their pvp, and somehow think its good enough to charge 30 bucks for the base game. im honestly shocked that valve didnt sue.
MvM is a PvE gamemode that everyone didn’t expected but fun to play. For absolutely FREE and actually give us actual PVE. Yeah that’s how low Blizzard is.
Would be epic if you read or watched a reading video of the TF2 comic series. Tells ya a lot about the actual crazy story of the TF2 universe, and the current conflict against the Machines.
6:39 welllll, actually, if you want to get any drop from this like rare weapons etc. you have to buy tour tickets, but you can just play normally without paying
This is the type of badass stuff tf2 was like back in the day. I do like overwatch bit it falls short and is nothing compared to tf2 especially mann vs machine
imagine not having a co-op pve gamemode and you have a triple a publisher who updates the game and your game STILL falls apart. valve doesnt give a shit about tf2 but you go to the steam store and tell me if tf2 fell off after 5+ years without an update-sized-update?
Ebout that What ticket do you have, the next time you enter the match search menu, do not click on the "casual", click on the MVM and take maneuvers, better do it on the stream or in the match ask your allies, they will help you figure it out.
There has been a problem with cheaters and bots for a while now, 2 days ago, a RU-vidr by the name of megascatterbomb released a video detailing a new community anti cheat was in the works.
I did! Here's when I did: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-RboNa68v6g0.html ; And this was some really good Sniper gameplay i had here: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-4JeOHmw1DvM.html ; and recently I just tried Mann vs Machine for the first time!: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-4gRuiQrAbHw.html
TF2 is gambling bank. Allowing MvM be free works also as an invite to play payable Mann Up version. And I don't defend Blizzard's action. What did they do PVE they promised for OW2 is a nightmare fuel. I stopped playing OW2 regulary and I don't know if I wanna come back. I do want OW1 back, lol.
snap back to reality "Is Overwatch based on TF2? Its not exactly a rip off but Team Fortress 2 is considered the starting game of what is now considered to be the “Hero Shooter Genre” which is defined as a team shooter where players select characters with unique abilities from one another." come back to the original help us regain strength help us become noticed by valve
just sayin, TF2 suceeded in what overwatch failed, especially overwatch 2, both are free but overwatch has way overpriced products, TF2's mercs are memorable and fun , while overwatch characters mostly feel bland, stereotypical or uninspired, with few that actually stand out, an i don't even think i have to mention overwatch's PvE or community toxicity, it's sad to see TF2 abandoned by valve like this, i feel if they kept updating the game it would probably be one of the most played games at least on steam
