OVERWHLEMED In Your Jewellery business? 

I think the most overwhelming thing for me is just getting over the idea that I’m gonna fail or that I’m not good enough to do this full-time. I know that I can but also just that doubt really creeps in!

I have all the ideas and gear but no damn confidence to share it online! I get overwhelmed at the thought of building a website and logo etc, for me to end up hating it in a few months. I know I should just get started and things can be changed in time, but it just keeps getting in the way of me starting!

I am so struggling with disabilities now affeecting my mental state, one of your sessions i feel put me in right mindset xx

Hi Megan I so relate to overwhelm and being a recovering perfectionist 😂 still a work in progress. Organization and learning the business side of things is not as inspiring as creating. Whatever makes my life and work more balanced I’m down for. Thanks for the videos, really enjoying them. Tammy

Ive found sometimes writing down my tasks makes it worse..I see that i have 20 things to do! But, a trick i learned is to fold the paper & just do 3 at a time

Megan, you gave me a "one hour," and it was VERY helpful. There were so many parts that were made clearer, a solid direction and tools to get there was the result. You mentioned that all the bits of your program are on RU-vid in some iteration... somewhere. But you're right. It takes a lot of time, and trying to figure out what is of value and what isn't, and doing all that while trying to build a business simply as a making artist, is just .....distracting from (financial) success. Having access to the info in a more direct and compressed way is a huge game changer. I've actually made the decision to NOT make my work as an artist carry the burden of financial "success", I respect and value it too much. Thank you for illuminating so much for me.

One more comment about the perfectionism: I'm guessing you haven't been perusing IG too much (good for you!) because you would actually notice the plethora of horribly made - often called "rustic" by the makers, hand-made jewelry by those that have absolutely no regard for even the tiniest speck of (much needed) quality goals. It's a mess out there. This is why it's actually an amazing advantage in business to add a bit of perfectionism, just not the bad kind! It's very easy to stand out. All you have to do is good quality work - it's that rare. *note: I'm not referring to the trained and practiced artists, more, the Pandemic inspired burst of overnight "jewelers" in jewelry making. There IS a floor.

I am struggling in France to find jewellery tools and even supplies, the most challenging being the actual training. Outside of the official schools I find zero support and information on possible in-person training courses or workshops. Sometimes it is frustrating although I persevere and have ended up enjoying in courses in the US and in Argentina 😅 I can’t imagine at the moment officially creating my brand as I am a bit terrified of the seller skills and business management skills that we need to develop. I don’t know how sell but rather I always give away everything 😅 not very profitable 😁 anyway, the tech skills are definitely needed and again, I am not great at tech 😅 sorry I find this a bit depressing although it is not my intention as I always work to have a positive mindset, I guess some days are tougher 😅 wishing all a lovely week 🍀Milou ✨💫

I am in the very beginning planning/research phase, and I am terrified that I will put work, time, effort, and money into something that won't amount to anything. I know I have found a very special niche, but that imposter syndrome gets me every time. Living in far north Canada, I will have to lean on social media for exposure instead of tradeshows. With social media platforms changing all the time, putting time into that worries me too ... basically ... I just worry. haha.

Omg I don’t know if your horse can help those with the curse of disorganization that come with ADD. Combined with a few other issues. 🤪
