Alternative Title: *(breaking news: tank player wants to whine and rant)* This is my unscripted thoughts on the recent Tank issues, and I think this video is best presented in this way, but I will at least admit - while I stand by the general sentiment of this video, there are some points where maybe I get a bit mad at the wrong people, or a bit whiny - that's unfortunately sort of inevitable with a more vent/rant style video. In fact, I am realising a lot of my videos on Overwatch are taking on a more antagonistic tone than I feel I usually have while actually playing, which I feel like I'm sorta subconsciously falling into since unfortunately the content sphere around this game really incenitives negativity over positivity. Gonna maybe look into ways of posting more good vibes videos around Overwatch in the near future.
Reaper isn't a counter to winston anymore. Winston's cooldowns combined with his air time are fast enough now a reaper cant actually reach him to get in shotgun range unless winston jumps into him. Even then he gets out before death.
I've noticed this. I scare Winstion's off more consistently with LW than I do Reaper lately. It's a lil bizarre. Reaper and Genji are some of the most volatile DPS
@@Chiptunejazz That is weird to think about, but I believe you. Lifeweaver's thorns are actually some of the best DPS in the Support role, it's just practically they don't translate to a lot of DMG over a whole match because they're slow projectiles that can easily be dodged, and need to be swapped to to use. In fact, as more people know, Lifeweaver actually has the fastest shield break in the Support role. Winston is a lot easier to just farm with thorns though, and Lifeweaver is more mobile than Reaper, and has better range... ... *Wow that is kinda depressing* Yea that Reaper rework cannot come soon enough.
Yeo this scenario you use around 12 to 14 min mark. Literally happens to me almost every other game. Mix around some of the heroes but literally doesn’t change the scenario. I play a lot of Winston and I always have that kind of shit happen to me. I get counter picked into oblivion and my team just plays heroes that don’t interact in the team fight at all. I literally got Mercy Moira and mercy zen and Lucio brig in that order in 3 back to back games a few days ago. 😂 I’m laughing now but it was miserable.
I'd say there's some truth to that, but I'd also say be careful what you wish for. DPS Passive keeps Tanks like Orisa, Mauga, and Roadhog in check more than anyone else, so if you removed it they would likely rise to prominence again. The only "honest" Tanks that really suffer due to the DPS passive are Reinhardt and Ramattra, and at least they have shields so they don't get hit as hard as our big 3 problem Tanks (not much counterplay, but something at least). I probably wouldn't go as far as you do here, but definitely I think a lot of DPS still have a bit of the "DPS is cosmetic anyway" kind of attitude, which only really made sense in S8. In S8, if you weren't one-shotting people, or Mei walling people - all you could really do was poke or bully Tank, so DPS was really weak in S8 if you weren't a Widow, Soujorn, or Mei player. Ever since S9 though, I think DPS has practically equal responsibility to carry the Tank does. I still think you can _sorta_ solo carry on Tank, especially Dive Tanks, but the problem is obviously getting triple counterpicked. Doesn't happen super often unless you're Ball, but if your team doesn't wanna help, by 3 counterpicks it's usually over. That's when you really need your DPS to come in clutch and abuse the fact the enemy DPS have been forced to swap off and chase you around all game, but if they don't, then it kinda is just gg. Against one or two counterpicks there's still some wiggle room to "just be that good" and carry anyway, but 3 is just the point of no return.

im someone who plays "annoying" that people hate myself so i dont really flame my tanks pick as much as i really dont want to play with a doomfist its just not my place to make the game worse for my teammates the enemy tho ill make them so mad they will call me slurs
A criticism of OW players I can always get behind and one I’ve been telling people for years. Stop being selfish, 1 tricks are bad for the game, make the necessary swaps to play with your team so everyone can have an enjoyable and peak experience. It’s not hard. 1 tricks are the worst type of players in OW they are worst then toxic players. Although go figure many 1 tricks turn out to be very toxic. Especially the Dps 1 tricks. Stop ruining your own games. OW is a team based game, play as a team.
