I guess the best way of learning music theory is by having someone teach you, e.g. a piano teacher. That's how I learnt it at the age of 16, and it was a revelation!
True, I didn't realise. But it's very simple. The ending is 4 bars of the B- chord, and the melody is: d-c#-e-d# each of these lasts one bar. that is: one note for each of the 4 bars. Try it! :)
I can tell you the chords I used: verse: 2x |B-|B-|D7|D7|G|E-|D|F#-|F#-| bridge: |F#|F#| Instrumental "chorus": |B-|A|G|D|B-|A|G|D|D/e|D/e|G|G| The tempo is about 140 bpm and the rythm goes 4/4.
Do you think there would be any way for you to transcribe this? I'm trying to teach myself, but I'm not that good at playing by ear, and the camera cuts off the notes you play down low (which are the hardest for me to figure out). If not, don't worry, and I'll just keep trying. =D
But i don't want to learn any other songs, i just want to learn this one xD And i have been in a piano school in like 2 years or something but i didn't learn anything there, except playing jingle bells xD
I understand your situation. I can imagine you only learn sight reading. That's what I did when I was 8-10, and it bored the shit out of me. So much that I quit playing and only started again by my own interest at the age of 16. You should ask your teacher to teach you how to read chords as well as some general music theory.
Go and study music theory. It will make your playing much more enjoyable. You don't need to know a lot about music theory. You just need to know the basics about scales and the circle of fifths, and how to make sense of chord notation. With a fairly good ear, you can then start listening to pop songs like this, write down the chords or memorize them, and learn the melody by heart.
