Usually it's because they don't want the baby to get too used to expecting something sweet like applesauce, so they'd rather hold off on it and serve fruit after the baby's more used to solids. Rice cereal isn't so much recommended anymore because of the pesticides nowadays in grains.
Why do parents seem to think that shoving a spoonful of disgusting baby food that’s making the baby gag and not want to open her mouth is going to like it on the 4th, 5th 10th time you shove it in her mouth asking her if she likes it, no you don’t way not try one more time, do you like it gagging you laughing as you ask if she likes it and you shove another spoonful of crap asking and laughing at her over and over again
