Probably the most uplifting song from adam in the last 6 years. Finally a happy song that is actually really happy and doesn't have any sad undertones. A lot of his songs are sung tongue n cheek or *could be interpreted as* a sad song that sounds happy because it's sung with optimism from the perspective of "I know things are bad right now but I know it'll get better" or "I need you/I miss you" like it's always an unrequited love for someone (saltwater room, technicolor phase, rainbow veins, on the wing, up all night, thunderstruck, gold, yacht club, deer in the headlights, tennis elbow, flowers of the field etc.) but for this song it's definitely about being together and that's such a nice changeup even though I still identify more with the former as opposed to the latter
