I just installed this on my 09. It's a total game-changer! Ps. The small white clip is easy to remove if you just press down the little "tab" on the backside then pull. That's whats keeping it in place.

Great job with the video! But... For almost $400, I'll pass. In 10+ years driving MX-5 I had to pull into someone's driveway once when it started to rain. I also agree with the guys about the risk of getting the mechanical parts of the roof top damaged when it is operated while driving. Most of the time, practically, I'd start closing or opening the roof when I arrive or leave my house, just going over the curb and in the corner, so, chances are something there will bend sooner or later. It takes 12 seconds... Thanks for the content , though! Much appreciated.

I've had mine for 5 years. No issues other that that tough plug release. Necessary, no, but a nice added one touch.

Hi-yer vid was enuf for me to buy this & ya the cool factor alone suffices👍 A dollar a day for a year is worth it too. Btw I’m 63 & have owned vettes, chargers , z28s, several Audis, jags, countless fiats n alfas n 2 Miata’s. Sold the A6 last year for a 1 owner 13’ mint nc. Didn’t care for the nd n almost bought a 3 year old z4 but shop bills won’t be ez. Thx again for the comprehensive n fluid vid🏆

Bought a similar device from a company called (I think) MX 5 Things fitment same as described here (easy) and functional the same the big difference is, here in the UK Smart Top costs about £400, the unit I bought was much cheaper. OK I had to order from the USA but delivery was prompt and didn’t add much cost. Definitely agree the functionality makes the car so much better, but the Mazda operation is similar to many similar cars which I think is due to legislation.

Great video. Detailed and to the point. So it sounds like this is a $400. mod. Like the convenience but the price is high. I've had to pull over 2 times and 1 time I did it at a long light when it started to rain which happens a lot in the panhandle of Florida. Thanks for the practical detailed video.

Hi, just bought this module for my NC1. I chose the same settings as you showed in the video, yet my car refuses to onetouch open/close the roof. If I choose the second setting for function 2, I still need to keep pressing the button x3 for full roof operation. If I choose the third setting for function 2 (the one you said you use), the first part of the roof opening happens as soon as I open the latch, however for the second and third part I still need to keep the roof operation button pressed. Any ideas on how to fix this?

This dude didn’t know how to pop a clip out and still doesn’t show us a link on where to buy this amazing product. SMH

I watched this video decided to make this my first mod I did on my NEW NC. The car already came with an aftermarket exhaust and suspension. After having a soft top, I found it annoying to keep holding my finger on the button to close or to open.

i loved video, but the money part of video was kinda stupid lol, just tell us how much it costs lol
