just got home today- from 7 days in a owners suite on jewel of the Seas. It was definitely a far cry from the Harmony! Nice change- a flashback to the old days of cruising. Loved all the space!

Beautiful suite but the ship itself is just low class and nasty. The whole thing is falling apart I just got off of the ship last week and everywhere you went there was something that was problematic whether areas were overcrowded and would have been a fire inspection safety issue or things were falling apart and crumbling like in the pool. The pool was filthy and this was just the first day that the elevators did not work on both ends and we were put in a room that had two bunk beds for women over 60 which was outrageous my friend had to sleep on the floor and guest service promises things that never happened

Good to know that the bed cannot be separated. On Jewel it can be. Personally I would not spend that much on an Owner's Suite for a short sailing. We were on a transatlantic and got a good deal, still pricey but I am glad we splurged. My only "complaint" is there are so many drawers and cupboards, it took us forever to pack up at the end. Btw we never used the jacuzzi bathtub either.

I was in an Owner's Suite on Allure - exactly the same layout as yours though the bedroom was much more a separate room, with a wall dividing it from the living room and with a separate tv for the bedroom than the living room. Balcony looks to be the same size, but it wasn't as covered as yours. Bathroom the same - only thing is that water pressure was terrible but that might be a ship-wide issue.

Maybe someday when I don't spend so much time out of the room, I might actually spend the money on a suite. They are nice but I feel like I am even wasting money when I have a balcony😂

The problem is, if the MDR Room Service menu, is crap (as it was for me) what is the point of using the dining room table for garbage?

I am a little confused by this as it's the same items you would get in the main dining room. Just delivered to your room. Even if you went to the main dining room, you're still going to have garbage food in this example. I would say have garbage food with an amazing view on your balcony for the win 😜

@@TheWeekendCruiser Well my experience, in a Grand Suite on Vision, the big deal, in a suite, is Room Service from MDR. But if it is crap, cold as ice, then really what's the point?

@@bodyloverz30 if they're delivering food cold, that's a different issue. That's not the same quality you would hopefully receive and do MDR. And honestly, I don't think that I would pay the money to book that nice of a suite for just that perk. As much as I like eating on my balcony!

I read, when we were headed for Venice, that the seagulls there do not like orange! It apparently doesn’t have to be very much either. I’d love to hear if that’s just unique to their area or that it works everywhere! I’d have to go back and read it but I think even an orange scarf or napkin works. I was going to try the narrow marker tape but ended up not eating where they were a problem. No idea why it works either.
