Range anxiety is a thing of the past. There's now heaps more charging stations and still more to come. Also more and more EVs are getting longer range batteries. The buy pricves have dropped a lot. Battery warranties are getting longer. The secondhand market is strong. EV prices have dropped.
basically what he was saying in later in his video. The quickly growing technology is leading people to abandon thier not so old EVs for either a brand new one, or back to an ICE vehicle. I for one have no interest in EV till they perfect the technology. The battery issues and expense to repair them is what gets me the most. Time will tell
Seriously? Here in chattanooga, every new sedan I see, is a Tesla. There were 3 of us at a redlight last friday. I drove one as a joke when looking for a new car. It was like a spaceship. It ...was like the future should be. It..felt like it was 1989 and I was riding shotgun in my cousin's '69 Chevelle again.
This video is pure fear-mongering. You are not in your right mind. We're saving $300/month with a used Nissan Leaf EV that we bought for $12,000. 1) Service/Maintenance costs are zilch. Just tires, and brakes last 3 times as long, because EVs have an average of 20 moving parts, versus 2,000 for an ICE car - much less to go wrong 2) Batteries last as long, if not longer than an entire ICE car 3) Fires are 60 times less likely in an EV than an ICE car, and 120 times less than a hybrid 3) Nissan Leafs in particular are extremely reliable 4) Dropping EV prices are real as a result of Tesla lowering prices and competition from Chinese cars, but that means you can get a great car at a great price, like we did 5) Our EV insurance is the same price as our ICE SUV 6) EV batteries are 95% recycleable. I could go on and on. This whole video is a lie from start to finish!
All sounds great, till it doesn't. All cars, every single one of them sooner or later have issues down the road. It's by design, when you do, you are much more limited where you can get it repaired hence you will pay much more. Hope you don't get into an accident as most likely your car will most definitely be written off. I am all for EV's they just need to get the technology right and I do believe they are on the path to do so
