Had this for 2 years. Great experience. Way more reliable than BMW. Seems like people like to give this brand a bad reputation. Not my experience at all.
I have the exact one but with a brown leather interior. It’s currently over 100k miles and it’s doing great. I had to have a coolant hose fixed and replaced both headlights. Thank God the headlights were under warranty, they were like almost 4,000 with install. Outside of that no problems runs and looks great!
HONESTLY if people bothered changing things like headlights themselves, they would save A LOT of money on luxury cars. I get yours were in warranty but AFTER that ends. You know...
I have a 2018 Jaguar XF 25T. Good car. No problems either. the electronics are hungry of voltages coming from the battery. If not driven for 2 weeks or so, plug into a battery maintainer or else the car will not start or you'll get a "Low Battery" message warning..
@ravenbonanaza -You problem is likely caused by an OBD device being plugged into your OBDII port. If they are not disconnected properly (and most are not), they it will cause battery drain. If you drive everyday...it usually isn't a problem. If you let it sit for a few days it will be low or dead. The fix is simple, disconnect your battery and leave it disconnected for at least 10 mins.
I had to have my windshield replaced on my F-Type R because my mirror came off and I cracked the windshield while trying to fix it. It cost me less than 600.00 US from Safelite and they came to my house and did the repair.
nice video, I might be picking one up on Monday but was wondering if you ever found the oil in Alberta, I live in Calgary and was also curious about the oil changes and just doing it myself, thank again for the update on the vehicle
So true. I am at 67k and coolant is a consistent problem. And I 've taken mine in several times to address slow starts, got a battery but still having issues. Ironically all of the problems started after my 60k warranty was out. I can't say I'm happy to recommend this car
@@t.hinton7008same with me my coolant is so consistent I replaced the radiator and coolant lines, a/c refrigerant went out, intentional pulley replaced, now I’m having oil leaks at 84k miles
You live in Alberta like me. Why not do an honest test on that auto and park it outside over the winter instead of inside a heated garage. That’ll change your outlook on the brand. I had a Genesis GV80 Prestige for a year and sold it. If it was left out or driven in -25 celsius it would act up and eventually stopped blowing heat. At the time…. the dealership had 8 other units in there all with the same problem. We park outside year round… THAT is a good test! Toyota’s, Lexus, Mazda’s and Honda’s have by far been the best and most reliable. Next will be an Acura MDX Type S
@@JIMMY-ck1oe you asked for the most reliable “Luxury European” brand…. Porsche is it. If you’re open to “most reliable” of any luxury brand…. then go Japanese with either Lexus or Acura. Might be worthwhile waiting to see what Mazda brings to the table in 2023 as well. They are supposed to be bypassing Lexus and Acura this year to compete with the Europeans. If they succeed, those will be very reliable automobiles as well.
@roadshoulderphotography683 it's not cold all the time? Lol. It's plus 37C today. And winters have been mild last 3 yrs. But no, this is the oil for all... not specific to AB lol..
The vehicle will go beyond 200K miles if maintained properly and not driven in aggressive mannrer. Drive it like you stole it and it wouldn't last 20K miles. I guaranty you that.....
I’ve heard these come with a lot of annoying electrical problems and other things like randomly not being able to go in reverse, can you relate? Also do you think I can use this car as my daily? Let’s with average yearly use like 12,000-15,000 miles ?
@@BoltsNBoost Actually fpace is not bad but the only thing we are worrying about is it's engine. Jaguar 's engine is not reliable as some of my friends had engine problems
@user-xb3zt9kt7g the supercharged V6 is a very stout and reliable engine. Might be some bad ones as every manufacturer had them.. but these are very good engines.
Mine has only 35k kms and the driverseat rattles, the gearknob is on its way out and i have a anoying rattle from the b pillar. And every time i accelerate hard the car smells like oil. Not very impressed for a car that costs new 100k.
@@BoltsNBoost hey thank you so much for the answer and for your time :D I hope it will be good... I like it sooo much and now I have a little baby boy and I got and excuse to buy it for his safty.. Kappa :))
Forums on both Land Rover and Jaguar on a 2.0 gas/petrol Ingenium engines recieves great positive comments but the 2.0 Diesel get bad comments from owners about chain drive rattles in 60K miles and needs to be replaced. 2020 MY and beyond 2.0 Diesels chain drives were re-designed and get good reviews.
not sure what that dude is smoking but 0w-20 is everywhere and has been for over 10 years. My Acura takes 0w-20 and I just go to Cantire or walmart and pickup a jug
@@charbelassaf5582 I think they are very Similar.... I would opt for the warranty. This was an exceptional vehicle for us. But in the case that anything happens, it is a Jag and parts/labour can be expensive. Great vehicles. $300 dollar oil changes for us tho. Intervals are long, but I always cut them in half.
