I've had a few requests of late for more reviews on the kit that I use regularly. This last winter I have been riding with the Oxford Tracker touring boots, a heavy duty water proof touring style boot that I have found to be pretty good and excellent value - here's my review....

Informative as always, Flyer. I consider you a proper motorcyclist. You have excellent gear. You always wear it and look stylish while riding. To me, that's part of being a motorcyclist. You ride all the time and I believe that's the definition of a well rounded rider because I know safety comes first with you. You are the epitome of what new or imature riders should be. I bought a pair of these after seeing this review and have commuted in them daily over the last 3 months in the depths of winter here in the U.K.. They are very warm, fully waterproof and comfortable straight from the box. Great value too so thanks for the recommendation👍

Another informative review...as usual TMF and appear to be very good value. PS. I bought some of the cleaning products , leather car, chain lube and the wheel spray. Very pleased with ALL 3 so thanks again!

Very nice looking boots! I've got a pair Akito Stealth Touring Boots that I got free when I bought my 125 along with some other goodies. They have been excellent throughout the winter and have many features similar to your Oxford Tracker Boots!

I got some Richa waterproof touring boots a couple of years ago. They look identical to the Oxfords. I love them although a little tight around the top when tucking trousers in. They look decent and love the price.

I own a pair of Oxford's, very good boots, used to carry a pair of trainers for when i got to my destinations,, I don't need to anymore as I find these very comfy to walk in

I've got a pair of these used them day in day out since first week of January. Only thing i don't like about them is the zip is so incredibly stiff. The waterproofing has always held up and I've ridden in absolutely torrential rain. Great value.

Those look like comfy boots. I've got a pair of Altberg Touring boots that I bought at a bike show in Beaulieu more than 10 yrs ago - best boots I've ever had -can wear them on and off the bike and they can be resoled (at the shop in Richmond in Yorks). Steve

Nice review and wow seem like good value. I'm a bit curious about the support/protection they give ankles, shin and toes since this is after all why we wear motorcycle boots. I also would like to suggest a review of helite airbag vest or jackets if you get a chance. I'm pretty happy with my jacket though fortunately I havent tested them :)

I have been looking for some low cost boots after wearing out my Daytona' s I love the Daytona' s best boots ever but £400 really it's taking the p based on this video I think I might try these they sound promising and for the money it's worth a go thanks for all your videos you are a breath of fresh air 😎

Great video. I’m curious to see how this boot works on hot days. It seems like the non goretex boots don’t breath too well. That price is awesome though for urban riding boots.

Thanks again, I suppose it is obvious to most people maybe not to everyone though, because of the inflexibility of my ixs boots(very similar more expensive) I raised the gear lever to be able to get the boot under the lever, it was very difficult to change up until I did so

Thanks for another great review TMF. I’m looking for a new pair of boots and am struggling to find something suitable for all conditions. Two questions, are they too warm for summer riding, and are the sizes accurate? Great price as well. Keep up the good work sir.

I've not used them through a summer yet so I can't answer that one yet (I'm anticipating no issues though). If you wear very thick socks you might want to go a size larger than normal - I went for my usual shoe size and they are a little tight...

Love the kit reviews, I have large calfs apparently , in the end splashed out on Daytona GTX, like slippers . I had Alpinestars previously but suffered with cold feet a bit too snug around the toes but no waterproof issues. 👍

Paul, can you get leathers inside boot? I have the same problem... Tried some Daytona,s a few years agoand couldn,t get the zip full closed.... Shame, as I really like them... expensive but, very well made.

I bought a pair of these each for me and the wife to replace the Frank Thomas boots we have had for ages. I went for these not for the waterproof properties as i will probably never use them in the wet, but rather for the extra reinforced protection, (and the price) Not used them yet so it remains to be seen how comfortable they are in warm weather.

Top value for quality. Oxford seem to do good stuff. The trick here is getting vented clothing to keep cool. 7 months of snow then hot. So waterproofing is out really. Shoe repair man sorted my worn gear leaver pad. Like the gear reviews.

They look exactly like mine but mine are Alpine stars. They are waterproof but in winter you need warmer boots. My solution is: buy boots one size too large and wear two pairs of thermo socks. I've got a lot of catching up to do after a vacation in the beautiful Sauerland (with no interweb at all 😜)

They work pretty well on the dance floor, although I don’t find them so good for the Argentine tango....

I have had these boots for 2 months and I think these are the best boots I have ever had. But whats going on with the gear change I am still missing the lever plus I am a size 9 but I have had to get a size 12 still great boots at a great price from a great shop the Sportsbike Shop' Yes I liked this VLOG, TMF and thank you I now know my left leg is OK :)

Great review wish I’d know before Xmas probably won’t have bought the ones I have now £119 for RST Adventure boots warm and very comfortable and definitely waterproof at the beginning but first pair started letting water in both at same time when broken in Got them replaced no problem second pair just broken in so will probably find out this weekend weather not that great in Scotland 😂

I have purchased the same boots from Sportsbikeshop in the last couple of years. I had an issue with the zip breaking on both pairs within a few weeks of use. The first pair I put down to an unfortunate manufacturing glitch. But had the same happen with the replacement pair. Other than the zips I could not really fault them for the money. Although when they brought out a slighter different design called Oxford Warrior with zips on each side of the boot. I purchased those boots and have not had an issue with those. They have worked well in all weathers and I believe I got them on offer at £60 down from £80.

They look a lot like some ProFirst boots I have which replaced some apparently "waterproof" AlpineStars that cost over £100 and were like wearing colanders for waterproofness (I threw them away after maybe 4 months!) After more than two years of almost daily riding, and walking around, they're comfy for that too, the ProFirsts are only just starting to get a few little drips through the soles in seriously heavy rain which beats any boots I've ever had. When I got them in 2016 they were only £45 which was incredible, but I see now they're about £60 too (edit: just double checked and you can get them for £52 incl. postage), so I'm torn whether or not to try the Oxfords and see if they can beat two years!!

Matthew Halsey hi do you mind me asking what tip of RST boots you have for I have the RST Adventure boots very comfortable and waterproof at the beginning but find once broken in no longer seem to keep the water out got first set replaced no problem but the second set are just broken in and had some rain but wasn’t sure if feet were damp not sure if sweat or rain I’m guessing this bank holiday I’ll find out

Our winters aren't as severe as yours in Old Blighty. Hopefully they should last more than one winter. I keep my leather boots polished with Kiwi shoe polish. The leather lasts forever.

I had some VR 46 Boots rubbish slippy sole. Sole started coming away after 4 months. Had to stick them with gorilla glue. Only good point they are waterproof just use them to walk dog's now. Bought some Triumph adventure boot's alot better. Warm water proof and comfortable no problems with them all winter. Got a pair of Furygan ankle boots they are warm comfortable and water proof for the summer. Nice boot's, but i think i,m going to wear the Triumphs year round. Just prefer them.

Hey TMF, Been watching your uploads for a while, they are ever so interesting. I've been commuting 120 miles a day on a naked 650 Bandit for the last year or so. My bike gear has seen much better days to be honest. Last winter was truly awful. Leaving home at 4:30 and being frozen within 20 miles isn't the best. All I can say is you get so cold, you can't actually get any colder! So I'm busy saving for those Kiess heated gloves, the better RST jacket and trousers and the Oxford boots. Do you have any other recommendations ? I'm 49, and sick of being cold 😊

Thanks TMF. Good timing as I have been looking at boots. Two questions about these boots, would they be good as a all year round boot? You mentioned they were warm, will they be too warm in the summer? And also what is the sizing like, i.e. is a size 9 a true size 9, or with bike socks on are you better going for next size up? Think that might be three questions actually. Thanks look forward to the next video.

TheMissendenFlyer thanks for the reply. I was looking for a boot that would cover all weather and seasons, but the Gore TeX, Daytonaesque ones are £300+. Maybe its worth it rather that buying separate winter and summer boots. Love the reviews, so keep them coming. Always interested to get independent opinions.

Nice review Flyer. I have (Though relegated to closet dwelling these days, as I just can't part with the memories of the rides they've suffered through over the years.) a great pair of Sidi waterproof boots that lasted me a loooong time, which was great. But, I never liked the racer looks and the tread was terrible. These looked the part for far less money a decade later.

Good review, thanks, am in the market for boots. What do you think about the recent CE rating changes? Some boots now rated 2.2.2 reflecting tested levels of protection. As a returning biker (310gs recently purchased, thanks for that review too!) have to say I’m fairly confused about vast array of varying advice; I used to knock about in jeans and a furygan jacket with minimal padding that I still have nearly 30yrs later. Things have clearly moved on!

Derek Nascar I'm a 8.5 in trainers, 9 in shoes and boots. I wear a 43 in these boots which is meant to be a size 9. They are a snug fit for me but no way I could put a pair of heavy woolen socks on with them if it was in colder times and a 44 which is meant to be a size 10 would be to big for me.

Think one of the only thing you didn't cover is how they are sized in comparison to say, normal shoes that you wear, obviously it may vary from shoe to shoe, but apart from that, cracking video, keep up the good work and maybe sportbikeshop should sponsor you. Hint Hint....

Great review, glad you didn't clean them. Some kit reviews only show a product straight from the box and imo it doesn't give a real world perspective on the product.

Good review. Just a thought I would be more cautious over stressing the retailer you use. I think it’s fair to say it’s available at all good retailers be it online or otherwise. And the consumer should do some shopping around. Having said that though I do use the fore mentioned retailer and they are without doubt superb. But as with a lot of retail these days it’s put competition thin on the ground. If a dominant one gets all the praise and recommendations. I was in their shop last week and when they hit taking orders of £5000 per day they were amazed with their success. It now takes orders of up to 1/4 million pounds per day. So they probably can afford to give away kit to vloggers. Some of us don’t have the fortune to have the assistance.

I’m not suggesting you have. Just pointing out that there are other suppliers out there also and your words of wisdom have a profound effect. Neutrality is key. A quote by Margret thatcher comes to my mind. In politics sitting on the fence has the drawback of being hit in both directions. Keep up the great work missenden flyer.

One suggestion when reviewing kit with "on bike" footage, why not mount a camera so that you can see the boots (or whatever) without you having to hold your leg out? Lovely video, as always... any idea if they make a non-insulated version?

RST Paragon boots are just as good - but more expensive. Funnily enough I used to work in a shoe recycling factory - it was sole destroying! I left, - things worked out OK I'm now a spokesman for a cycle company!! Boom boom!

Hi there hope you are safe and well still, what motorcycle boots would you recommend for people with very wide feet, I have a very high arched foot due to club feet when I was a kid Oxford ones that you’ve just talked about I ordered a pair yesterday and there are no way of getting my feet in there due to my hi arch. ..well I have other type of boots, and my old touring boots, but these are my current "go to" boots if I'm on the GS or CRF(I don't wear them on the Panigale or street triple for example)...

In terms of other kit to review, are you going to review your Arai Tour-X4? I am a fellow GS rider and own the same lid and cannot get on with it and starting to think that I have made an expensive mistake... Warmth and protection these look good as does the price, but what about the sole, heel material and tread pattern depth etc ? Do they grip the pegs well and don't feel like they will slip easily when you put your feet down on wet road ? The website has a 360 view but doesn't show the soles.

Yes good point - should have mentioned the grip - they are very grippy with a heavy duty tread pattern, I've not had any issues with my feet slipping off the pegs - I really can't fault these and at the price a bargain I reckon...

No reference on the links you provide, nor Revzilla or Cycle Gear for CE Level, or not. So I'm guessing 'No CE Level certification'. I typically get only CE Level II gear.

Can you do one on gloves? I'm just bought a new pair (winter) and they're no better than my last ones, still quite thick and really cut down on feel on the bars/controls. And they make my fingers ache.

TheMissendenFlyer id like to see a review on good 100 % waterproof gloves also , I use alpinestars tech touting drystar gloves but not waterproof after 10 minutes of rain , yesterday I was in a bike store here in Ireland & they had 3 pairs of goretex gloves - Richa cold protect Gtx & Richa ice polar & I think another pair was Richa hurricane -- but I thought they were were thick on the hands when closing my fist so I didn't buy them I'm now thinking about BMW 2 in 1 gloves they are getting great reviews but are fairly expensive --/ love to hear some other choices thanks

How are these in the heaviest of rain? Got myself a pair of Spada Seekers which I have had now just over a year of which are advertised as 100% waterproof, how wrong could they be? :D They're fine in light / showers though as soon as the rain get heavier I find that the 100% waterproof thing just isn't as they tend to leak through. Otherwise I find them very good, very comfortable and in warm in the cold weather.

Just gone to the link and they only have one size available 36, will search around, but with Oxford kit I find they only have limited stock of anything, so buy the time you have bought it, tested it, reviewed it the items are no longer available, as with your Oxford jacket and RST adventure kit, and your knox gloves.

They're certainly good value MF though the proof in the pudding will be how long they remain waterproof. I've got Daytona gortex touring boots that I ride all year round in and they were comfortable from day one but they were expensive. After nearly 3 years though they show little sign of wear and remain 100% waterproof. They also have 2 zips, one on each side of the boot to make them easy to get on and off. But at under £60 those oxfords are worth a punt for anyone who doesn't want to go the whole hog especially if they don't do many miles. With all boots it's worth trying them on before you buy, 1 to make sure they fit you and 2 to see if the trousers fit over the boots.

Yes all good points, there's no doubt the Daytona's are great boots, just eye wateringly expensive...if they'd like to send me a pair to review I'd be happy too ;0) (hint)

Good luck LOL. Yes they are eye watering cost wise, but quality is as you'd suspect top notch. I got all my kit in 2015 from Germany when the pound to euro exchange rate was more favourable, though I wouldn't want to buy them at today's price.

Id rather spend a bit more and get goretex. In my experience you cant guarantee waterproofness without goretex. They may leak a little. Or they may be waterproof for a few years but eventually they will leak. Ive found goretex alot more reliable. Aparantly goretex do alot of quality inspections and audits before they allow manufacturers to use their product.

Well I was going to say how crap they looked and recommend a pair of Falco Mixis,,which are really good boots,,, BUT at £59.99 the price is great ,,and another thing ,according to Mr Flyer they are good the walk around in comfortably off the bike which is a big plus..Would I have bought instead of the Falco? probably not , because I just love the adventure styled boot that is not black.... regards

Not sure what klingons are wearing these days!! Mine are karky brown in colour with clips and Velcro fastenings .. I paid £130,which I did not think too bad,but like I said £60 is a great price,

Bon Vendredi MrF. Love the kit corner....always nice to get some good ‘field’ advice on products...the boots look good. I tend to wear trainer boot or work boot style boots have a pair of both from TCX they are both very waterproof but not very warm (shoudnt be a problem now summer is coming) I might buy a pair of these for the winter worth it for that money
