Dob realised that no matter how much gold he threw in lakes, the economy would survive. So he led the crew to the one place that hasn't been corrupted by capitalism...SPACE!
is this what Egbert is hallucinating while he's unconscious? also, will the oxventurers (or the skeletons) yeet a bunch of seagulls into space at some point?
Theory: Eggbot started as a humanoid. His kidney was stolen and replaced with a mechanical one. Then his other kidney was stolen. Then,... well you get the point. Soon he was all robot.
@@johnpotts8308 Grazer(gravity laser)? man that's an expensive feature for a hand weapon. Grazers are usually battle ship weapons because of how hard it is to miniaturize the barrel to have less than a 3-foot bore. A handheld one would be worth almost as much as a full ship.
@@mar_speedman True, I just had to appreciate the irony. And if Johnny did allow them to bring him along he could have applied some plot armor to keep him alive, rubbing it in as the missle destroys the Raptor.
@@toymachine2328 Yeah, he would definitely have teased him. Maybe even woke him up. Binbag: Oh, that was a close one! Thanks to your quick thinking, Corazon, I'm still alive! Or something like that
"There is speculation that binbag was struck on purpose" "Dob you can ask me any question" Me: Surely dob will connect the dots and ask the only bit of information they don't know. Dob: How do I soup up this Martinez? Never change Stardob MD.
I’ll also be up for Oxventurers Star Wars adventure. A Jedi/Sith/Neutral force users team up. And the whole episode would be filled with Star Wars memes and references. And there has to be a - It’s over Anakin, I have the high ground! there, or the episode won’t be complete.
This adventure felt like Egbert's having a fever dream while recovering from his recent kidnapping ordeal, in between sleepy binges of all 15 seasons of ER - right down to (Star)Dob mainlining brake fluid and Corazon turning into a Power Ranger halfway through. Seriously guys, loved every minute of this "spinoff". Also so glad Mike is back! The whole crew, in such fine form, is just *chef's kiss*. Thanks for the crazy space-venture!
Stardob MD tragically turned to the drink (specifically space martinis) after his assignment to a recently attacked Minor Geth Federation Colony, Designation: BUMBLE, took a turn for the worse. To this day, no-one knows why those MEDI-droids were programmed to have a sort of Wishmaster-type monkey's paw situation going on, it sort of defeats the purpose of having medical androids in the first place
dj slime time It is unfortunate that the records aren’t clear why Ethil Fritz the Programmer left behind a collection of MEDI-droids and his personal digi-hammer, perhaps that could shed a light on their unusual programming. Though really, their ominous skeletal design and glowing red eyes should have been the first clue....
That's who dob reminds me of! I've been trying to figure it out for ages. Someone who is the smartest of the group but hides it and normally acts with a moral compass which they sometimes abandon to instead sow chaos for little discernable reason.
You mean you're pondering whether Katie originally was supposed to deliver the pearl to Liliana or do you mean Katie complained to Liliana about that ragtag group with the Dragonborn that double-crossed her for an ancient and possibly demonic artifact?
Between Prudence, Pru D'Enzia and Zillah, I'm pretty sure Jane's childhood dream was to grow up to be a terrifying gangland enforcer/mercenary, but life tragically took her career on a different trajectory.
I love that Johnny actually looked up the name of that episode of ER 😆 One upside to being forced to do sessions in isolation is being able to make jokes like that on the fly by googling. Edit: After finishing the episode, I am even more convinced that watching people discreetly google ER episodes was a great use of my time today.
Mayday! Mayday! Former crew of the Raptor, I am trapped in a pocket dimension with no way out. The boundaries seem to be made of some kind of papoose fabric that is only opens from the outside. If you can please let me out I would much appreciate it. A1-fr3d Str4ng3t1d3
Given how monetary gains were such a big motivation for the evil AI, I strongly suspect one of the intended solutions to the crisis was to make the economic value of the gas collapse (rendering the whole attack pointless). And that said economic collapse would be described as a Fyenge Bust.
The dead seagull space patch had me on the floor laughing!! I just instantly pictured it, just a cloud of dead seagulls suddenly appearing from behind an astroid's orbit. Emergency alerts ringing through the whole ship as seagulls bounce off the windows and jam sensors and equipment. A could fighter ships trying to evade as their windshield shatters from seagull impacts, then explodes. I haven't laughed so hard in a long time.
This had me laughing from start to finish. I love how ER played such an important part in this episode. Space and ER, not the combination I expected, but the combination we needed.
I love whenever there’s a moment of realization everyone else starts saying oh god or similar and then there’s Ellen who usually gets it first and she just has this quite expression of dread/ imminent doom
I would love to see a few more of these adventures play out. Its like dnd but for absolute beginners, its a bit more lighthearted and fun, not that regular dnd isn't loads of fun, its just a different kind of fun. More like a "Choose Your Own Adventure" type, which a lot of people can get into.
@@ALPHARHYTHM0 I found the rules afterwards and found that 'The Raptor' automatically the name of the ship, guessing they avoided using creative license (as I'm sure they would have) because this is a Comic Con video rather than OutsideXbox.
Johnny continues to be the most brilliant GM to have ever existed. I'm beginning to think that there's nothing that he can't roll with. Bloody fantastic.
Recipe for coconut shrimp: * 500g of pre-shelled frozen cooked prawns * 1 tin of coconut cream * 2 sprigs of lemongrass (or equivalent) * 1 teaspoon chilli oil * 2 chopped chillis * lettuce leaves * coriander leaves to garnish Chop the lemongrass into slivers and then put the first five ingredients into a pan and cook until the prawns are cooked. Arrange the lettuce leaves on a serving tray and spoon approx 1 tablespoon of the mix onto each leaf. Add a sprig of coriander if desired. Pick up, bend leaf, enjoy. ^^
I really love the translation of the popular Oxventure bits into this! The whole bit about L1L14N4 being not only Liliana's parallel but also the villain was really what did it for me
Not even through the intro and this has already amused me more than 90% of the internet's offerings. Eggbot, android explorer, seeking space hulk and/or love; either/or, doesn't matter, as long as it's large & available.
When they talked about leaning on the distress signal I thought about their Star Trek VR playthrough. "The Red Alert button is right next to the Answer Call button"
I ran this adventure for my RPG group as my first DM experience and it worked out magnificently. We ended up in a very similar spot with the group reprogramming the AI on a new mission towards friendship and making ice cream. Just in nick of time, before the space station fleet blew them to pieces and they gained a new friend in the alpha squadron leader who had a secret love of ice cream. Thanks for all the exciting oxventures!
Aww man this was such a great spin off, with multiple R-Rated comedy moments based mostly on Egbot’s weird anatomy and an off the cuff joke about ER becoming a crucial point of the final confrontation. Got to love it lol
Corazon: I have an idea, and it's crazy enough to work! *Shoots random tech* Stardob: *Surgically operates on the equipment* Pru: *Reprograms machines into pets.* Egbot: *Flirts with AI* Mer: *Actually tries to use logic*
"It's feelings all the way, baby😎" A great adventure! Thank you guys SO MUCH for the good mood and all the laughs! You're the source of joy that we all lack in 2020.
Stardob MD is exactly the character I played a year ago in a sci-fi savage worlds one-shot. It's so much fun seeing Luke play the drunken hedonistic doctor. :D My ship doctor just drunkenly set up camp in an escape capsule, while the rest of the crew were fighting off some kind of war cruiser. I chickened out the moment our drive core got damaged. There were a lot of secret messages between the GM and me this evening.
Thank you guys so much for another fantastic Oxventure. Was feeling really low when I started watching but not even 10 minutes in and I was already feeling better
