Sharks can't be evil. They'd need a concept of morality for that & they're just fish. Geese know full well what they're doing though.

The fun thing about Untitled Goose Game for me was how fast I came around to deciding the villagers should let me go on my rampage of chaos, actually. At one point my partner heard me arguing with the human who kept taking the walkie-talkie away from me, complaining that "that's mine, I found it!"

I'd like to suggest Donut County, where you play as a sapient raccoon playing an app that deploys black holes in his town to swallow entire buildings, within a framing device of the townsfolk holding an intervention for him underground (where they live now). You can even put cockroaches in soup and breed rabbits to use as weapons against a megacorporation (wait, is that evil?)

A few "honorable" mentions. Plague Inc: Evolved. An entire game focused on designing super diseases that get graded on how close they come to wiping out the entire human population. Katamari Damacy, where as the Little Prince it is your job to roll up objects on Earth to turn into stars. Turns out that people are objects! and lets not forget Cities: Skylines where it is your job to spread pollution, traffic jams and human misery to the entire planet. What do you mean that isn't the point? That is what you do!

shocked and offended Goat Simulator isn't on here. how quickly you have forgotten the original Bringer of Chaos animal!

The Sims. Now you might protest that this video is not just about games where you _can_ cause chaos and torment but rather about ones where it's the only option or the main objective. But anecdotally, I have never seen anyone play any version of the Sims any other way.

Evil Genius lets you torture people to death, or kill tourists, en route to world domination. A cartoony spoof vibe, but really quite brutal.

Special mention to Dungeon Keeper, because while not chaotic, it was great fun being evil while dungeon planning and strategizing. Lawful Evil?

Nah, I'd say playing the Goose in Untitled Goose game isn't Chaotic Evil, it's Chaotic Chaos. After all, you're a goose just doing what feels right to your little goose brain.

2:09 - I would reference Carnage more than Spider-Man. Another choice might be Spider-Carnage, which is a version of Spider-Man that got the Carnage symbiote and went crazy, and tried to blow up the multiverse. Now THAT might be a fun character to play as.

No mention of the classic where the only way to save the universe is to roll over millions of people, turning them into screaming, tortured pieces of what will eventually become the Sun.

Honourable mention for Black and White (if you have memories that long). Huge amount of fun could be had with that game!

Electronic Arts' "Dungeon Keeper" and "Dungeon Keeper 2" were a lot of fun, as well. Ah, the hours I spent sticking faeries and other goodly creatures into the Torture Chamber.... Good times, my friends. Good times. =)

The second I saw the titles I knew Untitled Goose Game and Destroy All Humans were going to be on this list!

My favourite is definitely Untiled Goose Game. The boy in the second section will be talking to therapists for a long, long time.

I'm reminded of the Darkspawn Chronicles DLC for Dragon Age: Origins, where you're a bunch of darkspawn tasked with killing the heroes in the final confrontation of the game.

Fable 1... This footage still gives me such nostalgical vibes. I remember first seeing it, my friend was playing it. And I was in complete awe as that his character had actually changed based on his actions. I guess this was the first time I'd ever seen a "karma"-ish gameplay element being done well.

Without the obfuscating goofiness of Tall Ellen around, Regular Ellen has... well, gone full Ellen! Eek!

I'd nominate any game in which you manage a zoo or theme park. Which of us haven't trapped tourists on unescapable islands, made death coasters, opened the lion's enclosure or changed the park entry fee to amount of money guests would carry? Another favorite of mine was to trap tourists on an island, an ATM, food/drink stalls and toilets that would charge guests outrageous fees. These games aren't meant to be played like a murderhobo as a plus.

Styx the goblin from "Styx master of shadows" he's a goblin so already chaotic, but he's also snarky and sarcastic (especially in the sequel when the player dies). And not the mention his abilitys and purpose in the game are there to cause dmg and chaos

I'm surprised that town doesn't just give the Untitled Goose the bell so it leaves them alone. Ancient deity/monster sacrifice style except without the death. Maybe the Goose would take up a career performing for people? They do play a mean harmonica and have mastered the manikin challenge.

The idea of the tiny, adorable little scardy cat Ellen IMMEDIATELY becoming the vindictive killer makes me giggle almost as much as she does when shes hunting down the OX Crew

Ellen going 100% autobiographical in the DbD segment makes me wonder if she isn't just... you know. Evil.

You disappoint me with the fact that you didn't put Rimworld here, we literally have war crimes galore in that game. They literally have mods specifically dedicated to committing war crimes

Stubbs was such a gem. Dance-off with the police chief, music by Ravonettes, Death Cab for Cutie, Ben Kweller, a parody of the speech from Patton... just fantastic.

I know this is more chaotic neutral, but I’ve always thought of the New Kid from South Park: the Fractured But Whole as a chaotic individual. Yeah they’re playing superhero, but the game still has them doing questionable things in the name of justice- I mean, moving the story along, so they’re more akin to Deadpool than Spider-Man

I am surprised Curse of the Lamb wasnt mentioned. I am sure you can do some good stuff but it is all quite culty and can anyone resist the urge to feed a follower poop soup? I dont think so ^^

Evil Genius 2? You set out the conquer the world, and when it doesn't immediately work, you have your minions build a doomsday weapon to take over the world with.

Carrion and Man Eater were so fun to play, being the monster is great

I still remember there was a sega genesis game called Haunting Starring Polterguy. In it you are a ghost and people have moved into your home. You get to possess the furniture and other things to try to terrorize them into moving out. I played it on an emulator years ago and I remember the concept was fun but I didn’t really know what I was doing.

Guess Prototype HAS kinda been done to death on lists like this. There was also a Jaws game back on PS2.

Ellen's gradual decent into pure evil has been so subtle, I barely even noticed until now... Jane must be so proud!

One of my personal favorites is Goat Simulator.

In this genre I would also like to highlight: Rain on your parade: you’re a cloud doing cloudy things like rain while some people are getting married but also do a solid snake mission where you’re trying to stay hidden. Party hard: the neighbors are having a party which keep you up at night… enough reason to kill every single person on the party without getting catched.

In my town the geese basically mind their own and just look at you expectantly if you got something to feed them.

What about Katamari, where you roll up property, animals, and screaming people into your sticky ball of doom.

My personal favourite was always the original Prototype. Maybe a bit grimmer than some of these examples, but still definitely good for a laugh...and as for the 'chaotic evil'-ness, this was a game that gave you an achievement for finishing without eating any innocent bystanders. An achievement that I never unlocked. CHOMP!

I hate being the killer, the few times I played, I tried to give the survivors a good run without actually killing any of them... which was ruined when certain survivors decided not to rescue someone I was nowhere near.

I now need a kaiju battle game that includes a playable goose monster.

We need some best boss entrances and intros

It’s a role playing game built on the same engine as Pillars of Eternity and has you playing as a Fatebinder, serving the evil overlord Kyros who has already conquered the world. You need to balance the opinions of two factions, a chaotic sadist group who revels in killing for the sake of it, and a dominating oppressor group that revels in oppression. Pretty evil stuff!

Some Australia-specific trivia about these games: - Untitled Goose Game was first conceived of during a Twitter exchange between some local indied game devs. It was a literal case of "Hey, I want a game where you play as a goose and annoy everyone" and another dev said "I am _so_ making that a real thing". - The antiprotagonist in Destroy All Humans has the full name of Cryptosporidium. The original studio (Pandemic) was based in Sydney, and in 1998 Sydney had a "boil your tapwater" emergency where a pollutant (I believe it was a dead dog, though that may have just been a myth) got into the drinking water reservoir and contaminated it with a dangerous microorganism called, you guessed it, cryptosporidium. A few years later, the appropriately named Pandemic borrowed the name for their evil alien character.

Almost all of the hundreds species of sharks have no interest in attacking or eating humans; most of the attacks on humans by great white sharks, for example, are because they mistake a human for one of their preferred foods, such as seals. Bull sharks are one of those species that absolutely _will_ attack a human because they're aggressive as fuck, live in shallow coastal waters and in rivers (they're pretty much the only fish in the entire shark clade that can move freely between saline and freshwater environments) where humans like to go, and they take absolutely no shit. Unfortunately, that aggression has led to them being culled frequently and their populations continue to decline.

There is no greater feeling of mischievous glee than watching a secret agent think they're sneaking into your lair, only for you to be watching their every move via security cameras as you capture them and torture the would-be Bonds by spinning them inside a huge stand-up mixer as they reveal all their secrets. Chaotic evil never felt so chaotic good.

If you ever do a Lawful Evil list, I would put forth the Evil Genius series. You play an old school Bond villain trying to take over the world. The writing is wonderfully campy, the art style is amazing, and the sound track is perfection.

6:57 also I love the way that the last goal of the game is to destroy a tiny village that you had just finished terrorizing. As if to show you brought the village down to size.
