Disclaimer
Inline Skating is dangerous and can result in serious injury or death. I fully recommend the use of full protective gear to reduce the risk of injury. Skate at your own risk. You are responsible for your actions while skating or attempting to implement the guidance in one of my tutorials. Sometimes i choose to skate without protective gear at my own risk.
Thanks for watching!

Hey Chris, thanks for the review! I've been considering getting the OYSI medium frames myself, I skated Aeons for a while and I was between boot sizes although I really liked the flat setup.
@chrischadwick1
@chrischadwick1 3 года назад
Hey Patrick, ive skated aeons too and i didn't really get on with the flat setup on those, but i know others rave about it. I think the wheel bite protection in the oysi meds performs much better! 👍

@stubear 3 года назад
Great frames these, I think the only thing that holds them back is the wheel size choices. 65s are rare and if you go 64 you need a 59 which is also weird. Feel like the options are a bit better with the big Oysi.
@VandKoala
@VandKoala 3 года назад
50/50 65s with 58 deads work just perfect, including the profile!

Yeah getting wheels for hilos can be a pain. Locos Revolver wheels briefly sorted this but then they started flying off the shelves. One thing i would say is that the rocker wares away after a while and likewise larger outer wheels would too. Everything meets in the middle as a flat setup in the end so a couple of mm wouldn't matter too much if your struggling for exact options 👍

Great video. I recently got SLs w/ Oysi medium chassis and I love the setup. I’ve been wondering what the differences between these frames and the originals were so this was helpful. Thanks!
@chrischadwick1
@chrischadwick1 3 года назад
Ah sick man, yeah i uses to ride Sls with the original ousi, solid setup, with the mediums maybe even better! Glad it was helpful man, thanks for the feedback

Nice vid. I can second your opinions. Got back on them after a while on Solas and I just learnt back unities and solidified my back royales and had no issues with wheelbite. Also been learning topsides on ledges (I hadn't done before, just on coping or coping-style grindboxes) and they feel a lot easier than on the original Oysi. Very solid and versatile frames. Best overall flat frame for people with non-yeti feet imo.
@chrischadwick1
@chrischadwick1 3 года назад
Thanks man. Yeah i was a big fan of the originals but these are a much better all rounder. How did you find the solas, not as good as oysi?
@art0nblades
@art0nblades 3 года назад
@@chrischadwick1 the Solas are great, too, but as I am more of a beginner (2 years back to blading), the Oysi is still more forgiving on wheelbite and I don't necessarily need the responsiveness from the Alu frame as I don't skate bowl that often. Also Solas on Thems are a harder ride than Oysi on Shifts (what I'm currently riding) and I'm 40... ;-) Love the Solas as well though. Keeping them for sure and will switch back eventually to compare again.
@art0nblades
@art0nblades 3 года назад
I'd probably say that the Oysi medium is the best overall/versatile flat frame while the Solas are the best advanced flat frame. Completely Imo ofc.

@@art0nblades thanks for the insight man, im definitely going to try em at some point. Oysi vs sola would make a great vs video / review 🤔

Great review, but i got a question: on my ground control big frame the wheel bite protection is kinda annoying on the coppings of the ramps when i put smaller wheels in the middle than 72mm. How are those oisy frames on coppings when u just drive over them? Does the wheel bite protection touch the copping, because i can see a few scratches on that spot of your frame, but not many.
@chrischadwick1
@chrischadwick1 3 года назад
Hey man, yeah i had mega frames in the past. Didnt really get on with them as i kept catching the frame walls and going down like a sack of shit. I think the flat sections on the frame you mention act a bit like mini antirocker wheels or juice blocks. So yes i think they really help to reduce wheelbite on coping as they will slide on ledges or the deck or ramps. Hope that answers your question?

Thanks for the review. Your frame looks like it has not been skated much. Would you agree that review should be done on a product, which has been excessively tested prior.
@chrischadwick1
@chrischadwick1 3 года назад
. I think you raise a good point actually. On reflection im going to structure my future reviews differently, with a first impressions video initially (without detailed info on spec) and then a full review after more extensive testing that includes spec. What i realise ive been doing is giving a review level run down on spec with first impressions after a couple of skates. Room for improvement here i think 🤔 Thanks for the feedback, this YT thing is still new to me so constructive criticism is always helpful 👍

I think the name is linked to the owners (Cletus's) Dad and that's just how it was pronounced in his name. 🤷‍♂️
@lustforlow-end6022
@lustforlow-end6022 2 года назад
@dukosek the company owner (Cletus Kuhn), his middle name is Aloysius. So “Oysi” is the “wish” sounding part of that name 👍
