Great video Bill. I’ve already sorted my ferrules out with Renaissance since returning to Scotland after your course. The bamboo rod building course was a truly rewarding and memorable experience. A trip of a lifetime 🇺🇸🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿🥃👍🏻

Bill, I have a 1950’s vintage Weber fly rod. Based on my little experience, it feels like a 3wt. Is there anything I need to do other cleaning/maintaining the ferrules? Also, is there any reason why I shouldn’t fish with it? Thanks

If everything appears structurally sound, there’s no reason you can’t get out and put it to use! You might cast it in the yard with a few different lines before you head to the river. There weren’t many 3wt’s made back in the day. It could just be a slow 5 for example.
