Wow. That's great to know. Chopper was incredible on the cello. He left the band years ago. John is my uncle him and chopper still keep in touch. I always thought I could see some cello or violin riff of the oysterbands on an advert on the TV. A bank or insurance add or something similar where they have an atmospheric sound. I can't remember which add I saw where it gave me the idea. It would have gone perfectly with it at the time.
I look in every now and then. Assuming you do something post-Covid I must come along and see you again. (Oh btw Alan, Marion and self have eaten the chocs that I bought you for Christmas but never quite got to bring round! .... buy you a beer some time though!) :)
John Smith you can get lyrics and translation. Just google it. John Jones is not a native speaker but it is heartfelt. He also gets his tongue round Spanish in 20th(?) April-not sure of date ha ha
