@@leondreamcast A lot of prison cells have outlets as far as I know, most prisons especially maximum security have electronics for well behaved prisoners who earn extra privileges. That being said they would have to charge them some how so they have outlets
I thought that too but maybe someone found it and took it off silent just to fuck with Ryan, at that point they knew querns was looking for it and they couldn’t risk being caught with it
The cell phone saga made no sense. Charging the phone. Forgetting to turn off the ringer. Hiding it under a chair when all these guys grab chairs to hit each other over the head with lol
@@fukkandre "I am reminded of Louis the whatever's finance minister...he built this chateau - Nicole and I saw it when we went to Paris - it even outshone Versailles, where the king lived. In the end, Louis clapped him in irons."
@zay yaz doesn't change the fact he got one over on Ryan plus very likely the plan was for Ryan to end up on death row not a major failure if it was Cyril if he was planning on trying to kill them during the fight then why did he not jump in he sat back and watched them kill the other guy and didn't seem to torn up about it clearly his plan was to get one of them on murder
I think that this beef between Ryan and Nikolai started because remember in season 3 when Nikolai was asking for Ryan help by falsifying the story that Yuri Kosygin (actually Ryan did it with good reason, for his brother to live) confessed to spiking the water bottles of most of the people that his brother Cyril boxed. Ryan quickly refused and suggested Nikolai into talking with the Italians about it. Later, Nikolai snitched on Ryan to C.O. Murphy about the real culprit (Ryan). Ryan was caught.
hbo sells their old shows to other channels to broadcast. that logo looks like the channel 'Showcase'. It is a Canadian cable channel that sometimes shows old hbo shows
I feel like a Russian mobster should've been more badass on here. Ryan came in with no crew & facing the mobsters that shot him & still managed to never run like a b*tch to the hacks. Stanislofsky should've been ruthless, like a Russian Adebesi.
That might not have done much good because Ryan's weapon was his intellect, strategic thinking, cunning, and shrewdness. He would have likely found a way to outsmart Yuri.
NO ONE ever Owned O'Riley. So he busted him for the cell phone but, O'Riley killed him without lifting a finger the same way he did everyone else! Cept Keenan, Ha!
Robinson Pittman but it's an important distinction. Imagine a European show and it portrays an American as Jewish. It's incidental that he's American and Jewish but he does not represent America, which is predominantly Christian.
@@Fingerling2012 thank God for hbo max I found this show and the sopranos for the first time and was surprised how good they both were esp the sopranos
@qwexas I never got why guys like Galino, Tarrant, Busmalis and these other low risk, non-violent offender were sent to a maximun security pen like Oz.
Maybe have a French mafia prisoner who is all by himself and is kinda like Ryan but they more compliment each other instead of rivals like stanisfolwski
@@Filthy_Larry - we don't really have a mafia here in France anymore, I mean, it's complicated... we used to, even the term "the goodfellas" comes from the French expression "les beaux-voyous", but nowadays all the French crime families, called "La Pègre" are in Corse (Corsica, the French Island Napoleon was from) and mainly deal with Marseille. In James Bond "On Her Majesty Secret Service", the Big Bad (Marc-Ange Drago) working with Blofeld is a French "Pègre" member situated in Corsica, and was supposed to be the most powerful mobster in all of Europe, but that was in the 1970s. And the last time the French mafia was powerful was during the infamous "French Connection" in the 1970s, where all the Heroin in the USA came from France, from Marseilles to be precise. But little by little, the classic "French Milieu" lost more and more power as more and more immigrants created their own mobs in the "citées" and their own organized crime families of Arabs and Black Africans.
unkle ace doubt those dinosaur phones had that option. when i watched the show, i was just waiting for the thing to ring. it was one of the weaker plot elements. you knew that was bound to happen... it was just a matter of time. too elementary for these 'criminal masterminds'
Ryan didn’t have the charger, so I’d assume he’d turn it off when not using it to maintain the battery. But he leaves it on when he’s not using it? Don’t know about that
So Querns was willing to give Stanislovsky two last requests because he was likely to die DIRECTLY due to Querns not being willing to follow basic prisoner safety? The show is shockingly flawed in logic yet you have to love the sheer insanity of the storylines
I don’t know why he didn’t just have Querns call the phone. Maybe it was to prevent Ryan from figuring out he told Querns about the phone, but he was a dead man anyway.
A long time ago if a man stole another man's cow or lamb or pig and butchered it and was found with the animals blood on his fingers he was said to caught red handed of course if the robber was too cocky to wash his hands maybe he deserved to get busted
@@MrFaceoff188 he is Ashkenazi which is an ethno-religous ethnicity. Even though he was born in Russia and speaks Russian, hee is the same ethnicity as others Jews from example: Lithuania, Poland and Germany.
Actually Phillip Casnoff speaks regular. He's from Philly. He was on an episode of Law and order as someone selling bad meat that killed people. It was weird hearing him talk in a regular voice. Before I saw him in OZ, he was on an episode of SVU as a Bulgarian gym teacher. On SVU and OZ I heard him speak with an accent. But in real life he speaks normal.
@@GABRIELA-ACEVEDO. Yeah some people are really good at certain accents.I actually have a lot of accent videos I made from years ago when I mess around and was fat haha.I am super skinny now. I wish my Russian accent was that good.I think if I went to England I could do a fluent English accent if I got in the practice. My New York and Southern USA accents I think are decent.
@@GABRIELA-ACEVEDO. I would like to see it I liked his acting as Stanislofsky to see him in other acting he has done.It is like how the actors for both Said and Adebisi are both English in real life it makes their acting better to me because the accent they are doing is fake too.
@@DanRaidersWarriorsSharksGiants you got me thinking of that scene in The wire where McNulty was trying to do a British accent. When in reality he's English.
