Can’t wait for my thunderhawk baits to come in. The trd baits seem like a smart move! I’ve been have great success on two different dep baits and one Megabass softbaits. For the Deps it’s been the bullslide and bullflat and for Megabass it’s the Spark Shad. Can’t wait to test trds when the weather warms up, it’s been below freezing for a week straight now in Illinois. I like how you rig the bait as well, I was doing it a little different but your way safes the bait much better because you’re not running the bait thru the whole hook and weight. Can’t wait to apply this knowledge once the weather breaks!!
Thanks man! Yeah I went through four packs of bullflats last year and like 10 of bellows gills and 7-8 shads before I really started using the Z-man products and really I don’t know why I didn’t use them a lot sooner! I also like the Streakz and Jerk shads as well as Baby Z Too and the Z Too but I rig the on their side. I can’t wait for them to make a 1/4 and 3/8 for summer fishing I know part of the problem with the heavy size is going to be the hole it’s gonna make in the bait and lack of hook gap so Matt will probably have to get a hook custom made for that
@@anthonybenoit222 gotcha! I remember living in Pittsburgh and I had to wait for open water also we had to go outta state for the first few tournaments because the season was closed in Pittsburgh
Love your page and videos. And also all the way to use an Ozark rig. What size would you say is standard 3/O ? Was thinking on purchasing 3 and 5/O for my tackle box. God bless Instant Sub
Make sure you’re getting enough plastic on the keeper. When I first started messing around with the rig I was having a similar issue but I found that as long as you’re getting enough of your plastic on the front of the rigs keeper it stays put
