this guy right here. he helped me in my search for a good quality tent. its an amazing tent. super easy to set up on my own i was able to set everything up on my own. i bought two blue tarps to put under the tent. just for an extra layer. huge tip if doin it on your own. put the rain tarp on when you have the poles half extended. its pretty dam big on the inside. i bought a floor mat for it. fits great. the led lights are really bight on the inside on the highest setting. really great buy
Thanks for the video! We have been reading and watching reviews for hours. I really appreciated not just the set up but all the details. This will be perfect for our family!
Great video man! Thank you so much for taking the time and providing us with such helpful insight! I have the 10 person version and was thinking about upgrading bc this one is actually cheaper than mine now. Thanks again
Awesome review bro! We’re getting one! It was your excitement about the iPad holder that got me! Yo! We didn’t have that when i was a kid either! These kids don’t know how good they got it! 😂
You made this Brit think, so many people out there that love log cabins you would think tent manufacturers would make tents with a log cabin Print over them to make it look like a log cabin.
You did a really nice job of reviewing this tent. You answered every question I had about it and showed all the important details. I ordered one right after watching your video. Can’t wait to use it next weekend. ⛺️👍🏻😊
So disappointed. We go our new tent, set it up in the yard and one of the poles was broken. 😢😠. We are taking two of our grandchildren in their first camping trip this weekend and we’re so excited for the new tent. I was apprehensive about ordering a new one due to the time frame, but lo and behold, two day shipping from Walmart and we should have it in time. I’ll let you know how it goes. Again, nice video, I’ve watched it several times and each time I’m more excited to have mine. ⛺️😊
Don’t forget to also get the spray shield for the outside. It will protect it from the elements and water ( fog, night dew). And some batteries because I don’t remember if they are included but I think they aren’t.
I used to have the 20x10 model like this. How big are the end rooms with the divider set up? I used to put my queen air mattress in the end rooms but would like to make sure it will still fit in this one.
I use that sealant spray on all my tents. I've used it on three smaller Coleman tents along with some seam sealer. To clarify, none of the Coleman tents were leaking any before applying these sealants though (I just applied them as extra precautions since wet tents make for a bad camping experience). However, and I may be imagining it, but 'seems' like once I use that spray on a tent, it virtually stops all inside condensation as well. Have you had the Ozark Trail 12 Person Cabin Tent with LED lights setup in any real downpours of rain yet? If so, how well did it stay dry???
I never used it in a down poor / rain. I place that on just to keep the humidity, condensation and morning dew that you find in some areas. I went camping once and did not place any on the tent I went with and the was were so wet it felt like I was sleeping with a wet t shirt on. But after this spray the dew just beads off.
Wilson Ro it has mesh that has very small holes and works good at keeping bugs out. But just in case you wanted to seal it I’m sure you can tape it down or add Velcro. I left the doors open and the screen open at night time with the lights on and a bunch of flying bugs like mosquitoes got in. It took me like an hour to kill them or get them out. So make sure you don’t leave the door open.
@@slowturttle Hi. Question! Are there some kind of velcro or zipper to close the vents at the ends for air flow at the ends? Im asking it because i dont want any cold air coming in the tent when its cold weather.!
@@mkim3521 the tent doesn’t have Velcro or a zipper. This is something you would have to do yourself if you want to close the flaps for air circulation. It only has mesh that guards you from the small insect, bugs, squirrels, or any other small animal getting in. But you need to realize that if a small animal is hungry it will probably chew through the tent to get in. It’s happen to me before but not with this tent. You can purchase Velcro on Amazon for $7.00 VELCRO Brand 6 Ft x 3/4 in | Sticky Back Tape Roll with Adhesive | Cut... www.amazon.com/dp/B08P3MXLLD/ref=cm_sw_r_sms_api_glt_fabc_31G9CKPR7YYBPT7XW8WQ
No there is no way you can fit 3. They might fit but it would be so tight. I would possibly fit 2 of them. One on each end and leave the middle for all your gear. But then again I haven’t used air mattresses in this tent. Maybe someone else has and they can comment.
Igobyknox We camped on the beach out in San Diego. The tent worked out really good. Over all I was very happy. People kept coming over to check it out and they all had good comments about it. Over all we really liked it because it was big and spacious but at the end of the day it was easy to take back down and put in the bag. It did get pretty windy but the tent stayed put.
Still enjoying it? Went camping in my old 12 man yesterday, things breaking, time for a new one lol. Same foot print as my old Swiss. Yours looks a lot easier to setup. How is it in the rain? This is the best video of this tent on RU-vid thank you
I haven’t been camping in the rain. But we sprayed it down with weather guard protection. And it has been great. There is always dew in the morning on the outside but everything inside is nice and dry.
i just bought a 10 person tent 14x10 haven't unboxed it or used it yet. with your tent being so big, do you ever have trouble going to campsites and your tent being too big for the tent space?
Jay Bee no never had any trouble. You can normally set up more than 1 tent on a site. So there’s always plenty of space. Ask how big the camp space is before you get it
@@slowturttle Great review on this tent 😁 after watching so many videos your video is the one that made me purchase this tent 🏕 for my upcoming tabernacle 8 day camping trip. I do have a question? Would a King air mattress fit into this tent? It would be My husband, myself and our youngest baby sleeping on the king air bed. And our two oldest love to camp with their sleeping bags so it would just be the king bed inside the tent taking up most of the space.
@@QueenPinJeanne hello thank you for the positive feed back. I hope you have a wonderful time at your camp. This is a big tent, so you won’t have any trouble fitting a king air mattress in it. I just looked up the dimensions and you should still have a minimum of 3 feet from the edge of the air bed to the wall of the tent. That’s if you place it in one of the corners of the tent. Then you still have the other 2 rooms of space. You won’t go wrong with this tent. But be prepared because people will see how big it is and then ask where did you get the Taj Mahal ? You will definitely not feel cramped up like in the smaller tents. Just don’t forget to spray it with the weather guard so it can last you longer.
Esteban Olivas Hello Esteban, this tent uses 4 “D” size batteries. We went camping for 3day 2 nights and on both nights we had the lights on for about 3-4 hours and it lights up the tent good and didn’t encounter any problems. I’m sure it can go for a few more days but we had to come back to our normal lives.
It doesn’t say how much the weight is. If I had to guess I would say it’s about 40-50 pounds. It’s not light. It’s pretty big and bulky. Unlike the small 3-5 person tents made for backpacking.
They are still working good. Just make sure you remove the batteries when you store it because if they leak it can ruin the connection for the light. But over all they are good and with one set of batteries it lasted me the whole 3 day trip with the lights being on for about a total of 9 - 11 hours. I’m sure it could have given me more days but the trip was over.
I actually think it's a great idea and considering this one. Can you help me understand why the awning is un-intelligent? I'm a new camper and haven't tested many tents.
