👊 As a native, I prefer a traditional teepee or shelter. However, I must say that this tent surviving in the winds and rain is impressive. Looks, like I'll be considering making a purchase. You can easily use this tent to storage more equipment or camping with many people. Thanks for this great video!
There is a few Indian prophecies CREE said the Indians will be as the where BY USING THE ARTS. I see that ARTS as bringing back the spirit journeys from fasting and adding great fatigue on last 4th day PRAYING WHAT QUESTIONS ARE REQUESTED ANSWERED AS WELL AS TO WHERE ONE WANTS TO GO. Sort of steering until going to sleep THEN ONE GOES ON SPIRIT JOURNEY. Then there is the Mohawk prophecy of the PEACEMAKER that can be found happening now To look into that Google JOHNNY VINCENTO get NEWEST SOLUTION TO THE BLACK HILLS TEATY OF 1868 LAND BACK. That is about the 150 + year lawsuit and the real reason why the battle of the little big horn took place as well as many others
totally agree, when I was younger I didn't mind at all if it was low, now, yeah, I want to be able to stand up, and a cot or a nice air mattress, preferably a tall one is much preferred to just a sleeping bag and a mat on the floor.
I just bought one of these at Walmart and the price went up a bit, I guess. I paid $68 for it. But I am super happy I got this and thanks for this video. I am using it for myself and my 6 year old son for his very first camping trip in a few more weeks. Still building my gear but I am so excited now! Thanks!
Very good review. I am on the Gulf Coast of Alabama and we have mosquitoes that will carry you away, so the front door screen is a must here. Excellent Video As Always. 💯👍👍😎🇺🇸
Get a 2-wheeled golf dolly and a duffel bag for hiking with heavier items. My brother and I played 54 holes of gold in one day (it was a short course) carrying our clubs on our 2-wheeled golf dollies. The dolly makes a full set of golf clubs with bag light as a feather.
Thank you so much you really changed our camping experience we had this tent and are camping but it was very hot and cramped but we learned from the way you set it up and now it's great. The directions are very unclear and they did not specify on some things but you taught us! Thank you so much!
Great review my friend. Pretty cool. I'm not a teepee kinda man, but nothing wrong with owning one 👍. I do like the power port for running led lights from our solar. But sure wished it had a screen door. But for under $60, not bad at all
Yeah its strange, I wonder why they didn't include it. I mean you can zip that up and open up the 4 screened windows and there is MORE than enough air, but one would think the door would be the most important screen.
Hey Man, Your Video is great, I would watch a review of yours anytime on things I am thinking about buying. Hey back to that tent I am sold. Going to get one for me and another for my Sons. Erik
Ozark trail tents aren't supposed to be used on the rain. I know it sounds stupid (because it is) but Luke from the outdoorgearreview reviewed one and it got wet, he called them up and that is what they said, he didn't even told them the model of the tent he got.
lol that tent he was testing was junk, that 20 dollar backpacking one, this one is a much better made tent. No, its not 400 dollars, but it works great and I personally have used it in light rain with no leaks. Then again I live in the Nevada desert, rain here does not come often.
@@Iridium242 Cool, still he didn't mentioned then the model, it would be awesome if you get to use it on heavy rain and do an update. The tent does look cool.
Yeah, I remember that review, I was hoping for rain this AM when I started to gather stuff it was looking like it would storm here, so I was like 'Great get to test it in the rain" by the time I got everything out there it was bright and sunny lol. This tent is actually made for rain and such, all the seams are taped up, and its pretty well made. I think Ozark trails response was that specific tent was not made to be used in the rain, which was silly because they were calling it a backpacking tent and it certainly was not a decent one. We are coming into monsoon season here so I am sure I will get a day to give this tent a real work out.
thanks for sharing. i see, as did others, that it has no screen in the door. i could add netting just by throwing it over and i just saw another video where the man added a stovejack and stove; himself, 3 sons and the dog were fine. for 1 man, 1 dog and gear that would be super spacious...
Yeah saw that vid as well I am subbed to him but cant think of his channel name right now, I do want to add a stove jack to this one, just another project I need to do :)
Iridium242 this is where i saw it. Shane Coffey Outdoors - ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-PqnPiXI-vLo.html. i’m leaning more toward buying one. thanks again
Thanks for all your reviews. Does the quality of this teepee compare to the other Walmart OT tents? I was going to buy the 4 person but being able to stand up and open more windows is appealing for my occasional airport camping trips (ie not climbing Mt Everest).
@@Iridium242 So the camping aisle at every Walmart has been wiped out. I couldn't find the teepee nearby so I bought another one, a new model, which I love (review coming). Then I went back to Wally World to pick up some camping accessories and the only tent in the shelves was the teepee. Go figure!
Not sure what went wrong when we tried to assemble ours this past weekend. The poles could not extend even to the first Notch without pulling the tent so tight we thought it would rip. Actually couldn't even get it to click on the first hole because it was that tight. It was in the exact position as yours and the instructions. Only thing I can figure by your video is that the floor material is supposed to be lifted up all around the outside which would give the polls more but needed height . Any helpful advice?
What I did was put it in with the pole fully collapsed, and then set it in the center, and gradually went up one notch on each side till it was tight enough. I did one hold on each side and it was perfect. Is it possible that somehow your tent was too short on top (It happens that they screw up sometimes) or that the pole was not assembled right? Its a tight pull but it should be perfect with one notch on each side. Let me know!
Would love to but wow, they start at 1,600 bucks, Unless they are sending it to me for free I will have to hold off on that one :) They do look very nice however.
My mother inlaw lost the poles to ours, does anyone know where I can buy replacements. Its only been used once and I don't want to buy a whole new one🙃
Nice video what happens if you don't pitch the base down? In other words if I just use the poles without securing it to the ground? Will it still retain the base shape? I just bought it this evening for the kids but it's on a wooden patio deck
