I was a super-hyper child... which is a symptoms mostly attributed to boys with ADHD. I had abysmal grades even though i had a deep want to do well in school, and got in a lot of trouble for being distracted, and for distracting others. Unfortunately for me I was in grade school in the 90s, so when my mom tried to get me help in 6th grade (around '95) they just told her I needed to learn to pay attention. Not sure if boys were already getting help for ADHD in 90s, but I sure didn't get any until college (mid-2000s)

Not only ADHD but autism as well. A large percentage of girls don't get diagnosed until late adolescence or even later unless they have a comorbid intellectual disability. Some women don't end up getting diagnosed until their 30s or 40s. There is a myth that autism is more common in boys but it's been speculated that the number is actually closer to being 50/50. There is a diagnosis and treatment disparity for women. Most often this is due to it being only studied on boys and the way the girls present is completely different therefore they slip through the cracks.

That's because Ozempic is intended to treat people with diabetes not weight loss. Weightloss is just a side effect of taking it. There's no research for it being taken just as a weightloss drug which is why he's against it.

I gained over 60 lbs in less than a year. When I brought it up to my doctor, he begrudgingly started to talk about ozempic and I felt confident in not taking that route based on things you have mentioned in your videos. If anything, it's not an unlimited resource and I'd rather it be used as intended rather than benefit from what is essentially a side effect.

My uncle had the acid reflux symptom when he had a massive heart attack 20 years ago, he's the type who never complains about physical hurt so when he came home early from work complaining of heartburn my aunt knew it wasn't a minor inconvenience and thankfully she's a health care worker with decades of experience in an old age home so she realised it was a heart attack right away and called an ambulance. Despite her quick response my uncle had to be resuscitated at the scene and was in a medically induced coma for a few days before thankfully waking up deficit free.

I remember seeing a post on instagram with a fitness expert. In the comments a bodybuilder was interested in it for competitions. This is a bodybuilder with none of the noted health concerns and competes for recreation. He didn't understand how attempting to take a drug that could be useful for saving peoples lives so he could have an edge during his next prep was a problem. I feel like they really need to restrict access to those that actually have a medical need for it first before giving to those just looking to lose 5-25 lbs.

I know this has nothing to do with Ozempic, but there was mention of women and heart attacks in this video. My mom died of a heart attack and on the night of her heart attack she was complaining of really bad acid reflux. She had been taking a PPI for reflux for a year. She woke up with pain near her shoulder and thought she had pulled a muscle. Less than 24 hours later she was dead. The signs are different for women and sadly not a lot of women know this. I share her story as much as I can to spread awareness.

Pharmacies unfortunately can’t do anything to stop what doctors prescribed, if the doctor wrote a prescription for ozempic for someone who just wants to lose weight and their insurance approves it, pharmacies can’t do anything about it. It’s the doctors who should think of alternatives for weight loss instead of prescribing insulin and putting people with diabetes in a hole.

Funnily enough, that woman inserted my IUD later that year and somehow "forgot" to inform me that I should take over the counter pain medication before hand. She continued with the proceedure without giving me anything. Surprisingly it didnt hurt me too much but I think thats cause I'm so accustome to pain because Ive heard other women get one inserted without pain meds and they describe basically almost passing out or even crying from the pain.

This and most importantly as someone who's insulin resistant and takes metformin, these drugs, they're correcting something that's wrong with your body. When someone who doesn't have the intended issue takes it, it might be causing a correction that's not needed at all and while it might seem okay now, it will only show how it screwed up your system when it's too late.

Yep. I have very severe ADHD that my mom spotted when I was just a toddler. She could tell something was wrong, but everyone kept saying “wait until she’s older.” In elementary school I was evaluated and was told it was “borderline ADHD” (which isn’t a thing) because I didn’t display all the symptoms on their checklist. They still gave me meds to try which either didn’t work or had bad side effects. So the psychiatrist or whoever just gave up. I wasn’t formally diagnosed until high school. Now as an adult, I’m looking into an autism diagnosis because though there’s a bit of overlap in ADHD and autism symptoms, some things just aren’t adding up for me and I would feel better if I knew more.
