I've never in all my years heard such a healthy way of looking at going on a journey to manage one's obesity rather than saying one just has to lose weight.
I just came across your video. I can't bare watching more than 5 mins of a lot of the other videos, but yours for some reason held my attention. You have sincere eyes, and conveyed much of what I wanted to know. Many thanks, and good luck on your journey.
I just started ozempic three weeks ago and I already lost 10 pounds and I so proud of myself I hope I can lose more weight thanks for your video hope to see more love you and keep it up
Hello from Florida I just came upon your channel about 1 hour ago, and this is my honest opinion, your way of thinking is exactly the way I think about this obesity problem. I was prescribed wegovy in august but I have not been able to get ANY yet and I’m waiting patiently for a call from my pharmacy that they have it. I’m starting at 254 lbs and I’m 66 yrs and 5’4” I know exactly what you said in your video. I’m not going to look at it as weight loss but simply just trying trying trying not to get any bigger, it’s uncomfortable, embarrassing and depressing. I go in tonight for an overnight sleep study and I will be binge watching your videos until I fall asleep. I don’t know how to diet and I really don’t overeat, my weight is insulin resistance and have been carrying this extra weight around since 1996. I know exactly when my weight problem began. Anyway, I’ll be watching you, I love your style, your candidness. I just wish I had found you sooner. Only reason I found you is because I have been watching videos on ozempic and wegovy hoping to manifest the availability of the medication. I hope we’ll get to know each other.
I just started Ozempic this Monday, and already the last 3 days I can't believe how good it feels not to be hungry all the time, and I've slept better than I have in years!! Thank you for this video, it's very very encouraging for me and congrats on all of your success 😊
Awe, i dont know you at all yet seeing your face light up when you were going over the weight loss month by month made me so happy for you!!! I don’t think I’ve ever seen anyone light up like that before, that was amazing to see!!
I have to say that I have lost 100 lb via exercise and extremely healthy eating, I had PCOS and a thyroid disorder so it took me 3 full years. And I had tons of loose skin. The older you are, the longer you have been large, the more loose skin (no matter how you lose it). I am a healthcare provider and deal with many people with bariatric surgery and weight loss and can assure you (a) there is nothing you can do to avoid loose skin and (b) most people will have it. ❤️ to you.
Thank you for your video, I’m starting Wegovy tomorrow and wanted to get as much information and tips to help me be successful. Thank you for being honest and transparent with your journey and good luck to us all has we learned to deal with the disease of obesity.
I am so glad I found your channel I am currently at my heaviest of 357 and I am due to start ozempic by next week seeing your weight loss time line was very informative and refreshing I truly look forward to the results ❤️
I just started on Ozempic two weeks ago. I was in the hospital for DKA because it worked too well. So far, I am still really nauseous and not hungry. But I have been exercising and eating so much less. It is harder to get myself to eat lately because I went from being hungry all the time to never being hungry. The scale went up and I have been freaking out even though I am eating at a deficit. I needed to hear all these things today.
I lost 100 lbs just with diet and exercise, I was so determined to be a’ normal’ but at the top of my goal weight I seriously looked gaunt, far too thin. I look better with 15 lbs over that.. live and learn
Your video was inspiring. Dealing with Obesity to so hard and heartbreaking. I've been on for 2 weeks and lost only 7 pounds so I was feeling a bit disappointed and alone at the same time perimenopause 😢. Thank you for giving me hope
New sub here! I also keep a time-line of weight loss! ( total loss of 90 pounds over 2.5 years...45 pounds of which was with the help of Ozempic). I now have just 16 pounds to go to reach my personal goal! I'm newly on 2 MG Ozempic due to a 5 week plateau. Great video!
your story is one of the most inspiring that I have ever heard! May the Lord continue to bless you, strengthen you, uplift you, and may his favor always shine upon your life 😇
I appreciate your bravery and positive outlook. Your striking blue eyes are an asset, and I encourage you to continue your efforts. I'm starting my medicine tomorrow ❤😊❤😊❤😊❤😊❤ Wish me luck 😊
You rock girl. You’re my hero! Keep it up. I just found you and you touched my heart in such a way I subscribed right away. I’m going to binge watch your videos now. You are so real and raw. I so appreciate you ❤
New subscriber thanks for keeping it real I can relate with what you’re saying also I have several auto immune diseases plus I have a foot injury keeping me down & the depression can really mess with my weight loss efforts thanks for sharing your experience
Hello, I been on the .25 for the past 4 weeks and now my appetite has come back, it was gone for awhile. My doc said it’s time for me to increase to .50 so hopefully my appetite goes away with my first .5 injection which is next week. Thanks so much for this video ! You’re very inspiring and you and I are around the same weight but I’m actually 267. I started Ozempic four weeks ago at 272. I also like yourself deal with anxiety and depression, also binge eating as well. I am on Prozac 30 mg for depression and klopin for anxiety. Klopin causes appetite to increase which really sucks, makes me very hungry but the Prozac takes away my appetite so that helps. Anyway you are very inspiring. You have already lost a lot of weight on Ozempic. I am so glad to see that it worked for you and you had amazing results girl!!
You sound like me except I’m much older. I started out at 387 a number of years ago. I am currently on Ozempic to manage my diabetes. I also on Prozac 40 mg to help control binge eating. I’m currently at 237 mostly doing keto and intermittent fasting but over 4 years at least. I started Ozempic last month, I’m having trouble eating at this time. I want to enjoy this because I know it won’t last. I’m also low carb because of the diabetes. I’ve added more fruit and vegetables. I’ve enjoyed your video good luck and continued success
Glad you're back and feeling better. You look so much better. Keep up the good work. I bet you are building muscle. Remember muscle weights more than fat. I'm in my 2nd week of .75 of Ozempic. Lost 2 or 3 lbs in 5 weeks. Coming off slow, but not able to exercise yet due to back problems. Having problems with pain meds and NSAIDs effecting kidneys. Have had to cut way down on meds, and am in misery and depressed about not being able to do the things I use to be able to do. 66 years old at the end of this month and want to live to at least 80, ...but only if I'm able to move around and not be in pain. Just keep smiling. It's worth it. You're worth it.
Patsy your loosing what best for you no one can tell what's best for you but you keep doing a great job your amazing lady . I really enjoy your honesty it refreshing to hear .You make me smile when I listen to your videos .
I’m about to start on Ozempic after a lifetime of trying every diet imaginable, including a lot of very unhealthy ones!. I’m so done with diets! I lose, then I regain, over and over. I’ve lost and regained more than 20 kilos at least 10 times in my 61 years and it’s killing me. Like you, I suffer depression, binge eating and all my activities are things I do sitting down! I’m going to watch all your videos, I love your approach. The “best weight” philosophy has been my mindset for some time, however I have always had an “all or nothing” attitude and it’s hard to break that. Thanks for sharing so honestly. 💗
You are soo well spoken! The raw vulnerability and thought put into your words makes you very relatable to those living with many of the same issues you are. I really enjoyed this and think you would be a great OA (over-eaters anonymous) coach. It's similar to AA but for those dealing with food addictions, I have a friend that attended these in Florida so not sure if they have these in every state. Just realized I'm logged into my son's page..sorry about that.
I am on week 2 at .25 per dose. The first week was weird and the second shot very little reactions. I don’t really notice much difference with how hungry I feel. I drink more water which may mask the hunger, not sure. I’m hoping for good results! Bravo on your journey!
This video was so, so well made. This is such an inspiring take on managing chronic obesity and how to treat yourself with kindness and understanding through every phase in life. I hope I can replicate this on my own journey with ozempic and I’m excited to love myself and treat myself with kindness this time around. Thank you for this video, and for all the really great points you’ve made.
Thank you so much for making this video. I just came across you. I have been on Ozempic for three months and I have lost 13 pounds. I have a friend on it who’s lost double that and I’m OK now with it coming off slow because I am 52 years old, and have been struggling for a long time, and Ozempic has been a lifesaver! It is a game changer, and my only fear is when I get off if this weight will come back, but you said some thing about pictures. I hate hate hate, hate taking pictures I feel disgusting and in my eyes I am disgusting so I’m trying to change that and now I am going to continue this journey and hopefully be where I want to be in a year. Please keep making your videos if you have any advice, please, please share.
of ALLLL my researching videos yours has been the most honest, real, direct and mentally healthy, the best video on weight loss meds just refreshing to run across a real human who can describe there journey "as a real human"thank you
I'm new to your channel and I Love your personality and Thank you for your honesty. ❤ 2 weeks for me I haven't been nauseous so far and I don't weigh myself For some odd reason I just know I'm losing weight by the things I put on omg im hoping I dont plateau..I only want to lose 50ty pounds so far so good..im 62 I have Lupus I am 180ty pounds im just Thirsty drinking smart water only..in three weeks i cant wear my wedding rings..Thank you your journey is an Inspiration. ❤❤❤
Hi Patsy congratulations on your weight loss journey. This week is my first ozepmpic so far just being lightheaded. I’ll be weighing myself tomorrow. Thank you for sharing your journey. From Australia 🇦🇺 💯👍
Hi there ……I have been on ozempic 2 months ….no weight loss …no side effects …..today was my first 1mg injection …….I’m not that hungry but I can’t stop eating ….hope this new dose will help me……..I do eat more when under stress …..I wish I could get it under control …..hopefully new dose will help ……..and I need to realize that if I’m not hungry food will not solve my problem…..
I really enjoy your comments and experience! I’m on month two and having slow steady progress. I’m amazed and baffled how look at food differently now. I 100% agree losing weight slowly gives more time to adjust to the mental changes. For example, I’ve noticed sadness over the loss of pleasure with food, and glad I have time to work through that while still seeing progress. I’m a hiker too, keep climbing those mountains and best wishes!
Ozempic 0.5 , not losing weight, because only 6 weeks on this medication, 4 weeks were at 0.25 mg. But my glucose levels are very good ! Knock on wood. Appetite is 60 % less. So let's hope l can wear back my 40 '' waist trousers. I m now at 46 '' .....damn
Please clarify….. Wegovy and Ozempic are NOT the same. They are different doses. Ozempic can titrate up to 2mg. Wegovy is for people over BMI of 27 and the dose is a higher 2.4mg which Ozempic does not go up to.
I started taking .50 for the last 4 months for diabetes. In the United States my insurance paid the total because it was first made as a diabetes drug. Lost a little weight and have seriously cut my need to stuff I started having headaches because I realized I wasn't drinking much water now I am drinking more water and the water has stopped side effects. I have been working hard the last few weeks at a job so I wanted to celebrate by indulging but I am not hungry, I do notice that when we go out I leave food on my plate like normal people for the first time in my life. Oh, and my blood sugar is back to normal.
Tq for your sharing. I'm done with my bariatric in 2019, and now my weight has started to gain back because I love to eat. My doctor suggests taking Saxenda. I had already used it for about three weeks, and amazingly I managed to reduce my weight by 2kg without dieting; I just stopped eating when I fell full.
I'm a nutritionist and about to start ozempic to manage my obesity so I can appreciate the gradual weight loss since rapid weight loss is not sustainable in the long term and vlcd therapies like this tend to result in rapid weight loss.
I am glad to find your channel. I am from Canada too and go through severe depression and anxiety and haven't been able to work for over a year and was given a different antidepressant and gained close to 40 lbs on my already obese body. I told my doctor that I have to try something because I usually only eat twice a day but still gaining. My thyroid number was elavated and he wants to check it again so it might be that but he did mention ozempic so curious if you felt really nauseous with it and if so did it go away.
I am on Ozempic since November, but I haven’t lost any weight. I can’t drink anything but water and coffee. I eat twice a day, and don’t snack much. When I do, it’s plain veggies. I am on .5 mg dosage for diabetes. My blood sugar has come down so that is good. I weigh 237 pounds.
That’s tough. Our bodies are so complicated. Excellent about you blood sugars though!! All I can think to do is maybe your not eating enough. Have you figured out you TDEE (there is a link in the description) and the tracked how many calories your eating? When I just started Ozempic it was easy to not eat enough.
@@BigGirlTalking you gotta eat your body dying mode - eat 30-40 grams fibre and 100 -160 grams protein a day -- you gotta get it body moving - focus on nothing else.
hey girl your doing awesome. Slow and steady is always better I agree. Glad you stuck with the reg type of food your were eating make so much more sense. Will be easier to do rest of your life. I haven't ventured in learning calories count yet but still have hope to one day.❤️Would love to join you in this way of life in the future and share notes. 😊
First of all congratulations on your success! 2nd you are absolutely stunning if no one has told you this lately, very pretty lady! So sorry your mental health-depression is an issue seems they can find a better medication to help with this . There are many of us that deal with the monster depression which is truly real. With th shortage I could not obtain these s
Your approach is sensible and resonated with me. I'm 62, overweight and pre-diabetic. I'm beginning Semaglutide as soon as I receive the shipment. I'm glad I came across your video.
I’m thankful for your shares I’m going to ask to try this too so maybe I can take away some of my diabetic meds .Although they help with the blood but weight loss is not changing
Hi, is wegovy still available on the market? I have an appointment next Tuesday with my endocrinologist. I’m interested in the program since I have hypothyroidism. I do have Blue cross blue shield ppo health insurance. You look great! Thank you for the informative information. Great video. Blessings…
It depends where you live. I believe, unless there are supply issues, Wegovy is available in the USA but it is currently not available anywhere else. Canada has approved it but they still have not launched here yet.
I did call a weight loss facility and they have semaglutide small dose to start all the way to 2.4mg if needed. I’m not sure if that’s the same medication.
@@vivs2167 It definitely is.. :). Semaglutide is the name of the medicine, the brand names for Semaglutide is Ozempic, Wegovy and Rybelsus. The therapeutic dose for weight loss is 2.4 mg.
Hi Patsy. Just found you and so glad I did as a fellow Canadian (Calgary)! I will start when back from vacation end of May and would love to know more about the clinic you reference.
Hello neighbour!!! So nice to meet you! The clinic is “Calgary Weight Management Clinic”. You might want to call now too book an appointment as it takes a couple of months to get in. They are awesome!! Let me know if you have any questions, I am happy to help if I can … 😁. Enjoy your vacation … 😁
Thanks for the info. I talked to my GP and she has more experience prescribing than I would have imagined so will call the clinic for additional help should I stall. She also said the rep for Ozempic told her they expect it will be covered for weight loss by end of year!
I also suffer from anxiety and depression and eating has been my coping mechanism for many years. My doctor just prescribed Ozempic and I'm scared beyond belief to start it because I wonder how I'll react without my crutch. Am I worrying for nothing?
Unfortunately this is not a yes or no answer. You can still eat, you just can’t eat the volume you would be used to but for me (on the most part) I still manage to get some relief from food. On those days I do track my calories so I consciously know how much I am eating.
I think its her diet that is causing the maintaining of 263lb, with a physical exercise 3 days a week for 1hr plus normal movement the weight will come off further.
Hi XPepper … 😁. I also experienced constipation but once I started taking 2 Metamucil tablets and 1 Magnesium Citrate it was way better… 😁. I also had fatigue but Vitamin B6/B12 combo and 3IUs of Vitamin D corrected that.
That is too big a request to answer here. We can talk if you come to one of my lives and we can talk about this. I go live every week Saturdays (today) at 11:00 am MST and Wednesday nights 6:00 pm MST.
I can’t lose a pound maybe cause before ozempic I didn’t eat much 1 regular meal one smaller snack meal a day..lots of fasting. I’m diabetic menopause hashimoto and other autoimmune diseases ugh …2 months and nothing 😫😫😫
Are you tracking your calories? I use My Fitness Pal. Make sure you are eating enough. It is very easy to not eat enough. To determine how many calories you should have use the TDEE calculator (a link to it is in the description of my current videos). When you get that number make sure you are in a bit of a deficit but you have to eat and fuel your body.
