I am so far behind on posting videos... I've already had about 15 flights on my A4; finally got off my arse and edited a video. In my defense, the wife has been needing a lot of medical care, and that has to take priority over RU-vid.
Really like the Alpina 4! In fact, my Delta 4 has sat unused in the closet since early July, and the D4 is a really, really nice wing. But I expect to fly her again this fall. So many wings, I feel bad when I neglect one of them.
The Alpina 4 handles well, and although I have not flown it in a lot of thermals yet, it is solid and I have not had any cravats or big tucks. Love the Active Control Risers, the reduced packing volume, the light weight and the easy inflation in weak conditions. It is a bit more of a handful inflating in strong conditions (none of that in this video), but nothing that can't be dealt with. Very easy to land, crisp handling, yet it has very forgiving, long brake travel. Beautifully engineered. The ears, like those on the D4, are a pain. Very flappy, takes a lot of effort to hold them in.
I'll try to crank out more A4 vids soon. Not going to worry about making them super-epic.
