By the time you buy all the bits you could have paid for a camper trailer. Great tent but super expensive for the front and side panels. It's basically two tents price wise.
Alot of people add the walls or panels over time when they want to extend the living space. Having a tent with the option to grow with you is pretty appealing. You also dont have to take all the parts everytime you go away. Flexibility is the massive pro with these sorts of options. I've personally had a camper trailer before, and I wont ever have one again. They may be a great option for some though! Whatever gets you camping. ~ Lauren
Just bought my RV1 side panels from snowys, should have just bought them with the tent. Can you do a clip on folding up the 'RV1" correctly once front awning is rolled up, the rolled front is way too bulky when pulling in the side legs A & B during pack up and puts a lot of stain on the plastic pivot points so much so that every time I pack it away I am never sure if the plastic joiners have broken or frame has bent.! This does not happen with my RV3 where leg A and B fold in with ease. Anyone considering buying an oztent in Western Australia should make sure they get the side panels these are needed mainly as wind breaks. I only ever use one side at a time on my RV3 depending on which direction the wind is coming from! Expensive for wind breaks but it can be pretty unenjoyable sitting under the awning with the breeze howling through.
We've got a set up and pack down video here, dentray - ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-RVtiXDaX53s.html. I don't recall having the issues you are describing, hopefully the video helps. I agree with your comments on the side panels, they are a very useful addition to any RV tent setup. ~ Ben
Delivery to Lord Howe Island would cost a bucket load, Ellis. Our website does estimate a price, you can do this on the product page, but it is ridiculously high as we need to allow for contingencies for any damaged in transit claims or warranties. Basically, we don't deliver there, but our current setup won't allow us to exclude it, not sure why, but we have plans to try and fix this. Sorry about the bad news. ~ Ben
@@SnowysOutdoors thanks for that guys. It would just need to get to Birdon shipping in port Macquarie where the island trader leaves on a fortnightly basis to lord howe. If you can get it to them I can freight it with them to here which would be about $250 on the island trader.
@@Whitty556 we can probably deliver to Birdon shipping, but arrangements from there to the island would be something you'd need to arrange sorry. ~ Ben
I'm not sure what you mean by the spigot sorry, Julianne, there is a spigot on the end of each pole, of which two are included with this kit. Hopefully this helps. ~ Ben
