When used in combination with the optional side panels, you can enclose the awning of your RV tent with the RV Front Panel from Oztent.
Constructed from high-quality ripstop polycotton canvas, with double stitched tape-sealed seams and a large screened area with a zippered door. The drop down zippered canvas panel can be set up as an extra awning with optional poles - so it’s an extremely versatile accessory.
In this video, our gear expert Ben tells us the difference between the different size panels, how to attach the panel on your tent, setting it up as an awning, and answers your frequently asked questions such as if you can pack away the front panel when it’s still attached to your tent, if the panel can be used with a caravan connector, and if you can sleep in the awning with all the panels on - so check it out above.

Is there any particular sand peg that works well with the side panels? Thanks

Nothing particular, Maurice, there is a plastic clip at the bottom of the door that isn't really compatible with sand pegs, so this would need to hang loose and you'd be best just matching the peg with the ground you are camping on. ~ Ben

Not sure I would even attempt to keep this front panel attached during pack up, I have the RV3 and the RV1, with the RV1 awning being longer and heavier than the other RV,s I have found that when rolled up it puts noticeable strain/pressure on the front tent folding joints making it quite tricky to fold in each leg at pack up without breaking the joiners or bending the corner rails, this is actually noticeable on all the RV1 vids that show difficulty opening leg A and leg B compared to the other RV,s( folding in is even more difficult). The sag in the middle of the RV1 with awning rolled up also shows the weight is possibly a bit much for the rail and folding joiners, the RV3 legs fold in and out with ease during set up/pack down so I would say set up/pack down with front panel attached could quiet easily end up with joints bending and breaking.

I agree, dentray. I've never tried it but it doesn't feel like there's a lot of room for extra fabric when folding the RV tents. I also reckon the messing around to make it all fit easily with the front panels attached would probably take far more time than just removing the front panel in the first place. ~ Ben

Ben said you can use the deluxe front panel with the caravan connector. But there is no zipper on the fromt panel to zip to the caravan connector.+

Hmm, that wasn't my understanding, sounds like I could be wrong though. I thought the caravan connector had two zips to accommodate the front panel. We are going to shoot a video on the awning and caravan connectors soon, I should be able to clear things up for everyone there. ~ Ben

Ah, just watched the video again, I meant to say that it is compatible with the 'awning connector'... it was a long day in the sun! We'll see if we can fix that up, thanks for pointing this out, Malcolm. ~ Ben.

@@SnowysOutdoors No worries Ben. I enjoy your reviews, you are professional in the way you explain it all. Some presenters are far from professional.

I'm back again, @Malcolm Hay. I just had a look at the caravan connector in our store, and it has two zips which look to me to accommodate both a connection to the awning and the front wall. We are going to head out and shoot videos for both the caravan and awning connectors next week (weather pending) and we'll demonstrate this with side and front walls attached, hopefully, we can clear things up for everyone. ~ Ben
