After years of drug abuse, rocking and just age to see him still going at it is very impressive. Whoever says he should retire should fuck off, he's not doing this for himself, he's doing it for the fans who still appreciate him.
Ozzy is retiring this year, this is his final world tour I believe. He did say he’s retiring after this tour is done. About time I love ozzy but the dudes voice doesn’t really work anymore he deserves the retirement
He goes back and forth like that because his tele prompt that has been put in a dummy floor monitor is right at his mic stand. He cant be away from it very long because his memory is failing and he cant remember his lyrics :-( He has been doing this for a long time now.
He’s always used that special microphone and stand he’s had for years that requires charging every 20 to 30 seconds. Walk right, walk back..charge.. walk left, walk back.. charge.
Dudes damn near 70 and still kicking major ass. Sucks that we have to get old but I'll take a 70 year old Ozzy over some of these younger bands any day.
We queued all afternoon to get the barrier for ozzy and he was absolutely fantastic !!! So many people were rubbishing him before he took to the stage and he just blew everyone away!!🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰
As much as I love Ozzy every time I watch him on stage I always laugh it's because of his walk, taking his mic in and out of the mic stand walking from one side of the stage to the other he's just special there's no one else like him 😂
sckisback14 It's a good thing you threw the "imo" in there, otherwise, we wouldn't have known you were expressing your own thoughts. Jesus fucking christ...
LOL !! Yeah, but that's how he's always been. Stalking & bulldozing his way back n forth across the stage. Someone else said he looked like someone chasing after a dog that just peed on the carpet. If I'd had a mouth full of soda I'd have spewed it all over & choked at the same time!! LOL
@@breeziextwo2869 its true, that is Ozzy Style, always been that way, look at him performing war pigs, i was a small child then and that song was so popular when i was a teen then! Once you watch all those older videos then you know it's an Ozzy thing stomping/dancing in his own weird way across the stage. He he has never changed! Love that man so much!
@@bambii6767 I was 3 when that came out. So this old woman's been watching & listening all my life LOL If you haven't watched Travel Channel;s "The Osbourne's Want to Believe" & the Halloween special you ought to. He cracked me up every episode with his dry sense of humor that others didn't seem to get LOL
I have been listening to Ozzy since 1971 and am really glad to see that he can still do what he does! I saw him in Corpus Christi TX, at Johnnyland in 1996, with Sepatura and Type O Negative opening. It was an outdoor venue and when Ozzy did "Bark At The Moon", the full moon was in the sky behind the stage. Couldn't have been timed better! Ozzy played for two and a half hours; and gave it his all. I saw Sabbath in 1979, and after seeing this new 2018 video, I think Ozzy ages like FINE WINE! Come back to Corpus Christi, Ozzy!
Ozzy goes well beyond my time, but if you stop and look at his music and all the success he's had, its really impressive.. alot of people(when they hear the name ozzy) think of him biting a head off a bat(happened before i was born and i know the story on that it was an accident),.. but this guy has put out some seriously good music and is a hell of an entertainer, its crazy.. he has contributed as much if not more to music as michael jackson or elvis, no joke.. who else has been around since elvis's time but has consistently produced high level complex music that people like and remained relevant and had a following of fans for 5+ decades and who still plays old music live that still sounds good? Who else has had that big of an impact? I can't really think of any, and everyone everywhere know the name ozzy. He's probably done alot of crazy stuff that I ain't into at different times in his life but my god he's talented and he has talented people around him his whole career he has been relevant..and im sure alot of people dont get some of his themes and i dont even wear black but ozzy is possibly one of the best musical minds since mozart or beethoven..
I totally agree with you !! I still have my tickets from 4 years ago, safely tucked away for next year!!..... OZZY totally slayed Download 18!! He is an absolute legend!!!🤩🤩🤩
Paul Murdie . That's right Paul when it was MONSTERS of ROCK. Was there myself. Best years ever. Used to be all headline acts in there own right. Not sure what it has turned into now!!!!
Agree with Paul but you numpties who cling onto the Monsters of Rock years and disparage Download as not being "real" metal are cringe, the weekend was full of great music, get over it and broaden your horizons
I did the last Monsters of Rock in 96, my first festival, I was 17! Ozzy & Kiss headlined, but it was Korn & Fear Factory I was there to see. Did Download in 04 with Metallica/Linkin Park - both awesome festivals, as good as each other.
This is where I heard about Ozzy - The bark at the moon album when I was a kid. Then I started listening to his other stuff all the way back... Fan ever since.
Zakk and Ozzy, that's the only cure I need And Ozzy still doing it, He's the show you just keep following him with your eyes all night til the show ends everybody else their just the backdrop,You know their playing but when Ozzy takes the stage, you never know what he's gonna do...
Thanks for just following Ozzy around as he bumbles across the stage instead of filming that first Zakk Wylde solo. Didn't need to see the solo. Definitely didn't get enough nursing home Ozzy in the first two minutes. Needed more. Seriously, thank you.
First time I saw Ozzy was in Tinley Park, Illinois on Ozzfest 2002. My first concert and the day that would change my life forever. Ozzy will return!!!
For me, being a teenager/early 20's in the 1980's, Ozzy will always for me be the 2 Randy Rhodes albums and the 2 Jake E. Lee albums. Blizzard of Ozz through The Ultimate Sin. Zakk Wilde is a great guitar player, but I never got into his playing style or look, or the direction Ozzy's albums went after Zakk joined. Unfortunately, I never got to see Ozzy live with Randy Rhodes, but I did see him live with Jake in 1986 on the Ultimate Sin tour. Ozzy was great, and Jake E. Lee absolutely kicked ass live.
omg the microphone...the microphone stand...the 5 paces to the left....the microphone stand....clip on to the microphone stand...no wait...take off microphone stand...4 paces to the right...back to microphone stand....jump up then jump down and repeat...i love this man haha
Definitely! He's had multiple serious accidents, when he wrecked a quad and one more recent where he fell down and broke his neck, and was almost paralyzed. Amazing that in recent interviews he still talks about wanting to do shows again. I'm sure he is getting the best Let's hope his wish comes true. Very few have had careers that lasted this long.. It would be amazing if he outlives Mick Jagger, Paul McCartney and the remaining members of the Dead.
You clearly weren't standing where I was, or were you there? The guys from Neckdeep were right where I was and they seemed to get people going. A moshpit started during crazy train further towards the back which hardly happens.
Depends who you watched. I was in the Gn’R pit at the front and it was chaos, along with Bad Religion and the Bronx. The Bodycount pit was hectic ! Andrew Wk pit was also crazy, got to remember Ozzy was the last act, everyone was probably knackered , that’s if you do the whole Download experience properly and if you’re actually there! 🤣
@@CFKMAN he doesn't even sound bad.... he is hitting the rigjt notes and is singing pretty clearly and not slurred, what else do you expect of the man?
A few idiots complaining about Ozzy's performance on here, he's seventy years old, what do you expect?? He was fucking spot on from where I was stood, got the crowd going nuts
Every time I hear Bark at the Moon, it reminds of the Video One show with Richard Blade, "Today we have the video debut of Bark at the Moon by Ozzy Osbourne stay tuned", so I stayed tuned, through nothing but crap videos, Kagoogoo, Depeche Mode and a bunch of other lame groups, finally they play it at the end of the show with the credits rolling and didn't even finish the video! So every time, no matter where I am, when I hear the song, I see the credits rolling in my head, "That's all for today, see you tomorrow, here's Bark at the Moon!"
I seen Metallica open for Ozzy on the ULTIMATE SIN tour. As we were walking to the venue (Frank Erwin Center) a preacher was handing out religious pamphlets and preaching to the crowd. As we passed him, he handed me a pamphlet and I threw it on the ground. He yelled to me from behind, "OZZY IS A SINNER!" So I turned around and yelled back, "NO, OZZY IS THE ULTIMATE SINNER!" True story.....
Agreed ! Sorry Jake that Zakk ruined this song with the horrible tones he used & all of the overplayed pinch harmoincs used in it. And to mention also....the flailing chicken armed drummer from Slob Zombie's band that has the same drum beat for every song...and wondering why Dragula & Paranoid drums sound the same !! Sorry about that too Jake. And to those who think Zakk is all it? LOL ! A great player for the type of stuff he plays in his solo band, but NO LONGER OZZY solo or Black Sabbath stuff !! With no disrespect to Jake for this song, but if Iommi played it, he'd SMOKE ZAKK !!!! And if Bill Ward played the drums for this song, or even Mike Bordin, THEY'D BOTH SMOKE Mr. Flailing Chicken Arms dame srum beat Clufetos !!!!
Axl's voice is shot, he has no power in it any more, Ozzy's band has tuned down to help Ozzys voice. Saying that he's 20 years older than Axl and still gave it more energy.
Ryan T I've seen this tons of times and he himself says he can't play it the same anymore. I love how he plays it and would have loved to see it for myself but come on you're kidding yourself if you believe he can do it like in the 80s
I have to agree with Devin. Jake is my favorite all time Ozzy guitarist, even more so than Randy, but he's lost the speed he had in the 80's. But he still plays it better than Mr. Overrated Zakk Wylde does.
