Most if not all of the musicians in this episode are voiced by themselves. Matt and Trey are friends with Les Claypool to begin with, and Isaac Hayes had hella music industry connections. Including Dean Ween of Ween, proving that the members of Ween have a good sense of humor about themselves. I also love that you concluded with a clip of Ozzy high out of his MIND in an interview lol
Fun fact: after this episode aired, "chewbacca defense" became an ACTUAL legal term... it has it's own wikipedia page, you can look it up. It basically means an argument/strategy used to deliberately confuse/mislead a jury.
@AzureWolf168 no idea, but I imagine that it would have started with actual lawyers that happen to be South Park fans referencing it during office hours amongst their fellow colleagues.
This episode shows you how humble Chef is. He could have sued for millions, but all he wanted was his name in the credits. Really sad that he had to leave the show because of Scientology
If you can dig it up, they actually made an album out of this episode featuring all of the bands who appeared as well as a few people who didn't get a cameo in the episode. There's even a few Chef songs in full such as Chocolate Salty Balls and Simultaneous as well as a quite cool remix of various South Park clips at the end of the album.
They actually released an album called Chef Aid and it had some crazy collabs on it like 1 song with Ozzy Osbourne, DMX and Ol' Dirty Bastard(Wutang Clan) it's pretty hard to find a physical copy and worth quite a lot of money
Most of the musicians voiced themselves in this episode. There was also an official Chef Aid album released, and includes some new songs, one which gives the full backstory of Kevin, Mephisto's little sidekick.

Keep in mind, chef was played by Issac Hayes back then. The opening song was made by Primus. I had this album back in the day. It was kinda a silly thing but had major artists on it. You might try to find it. South Park Chef Aid. It was an album in like the year 2000
@@Tolye It chanced concert rules all over Europa, now there are max amount of people allowed in mosh pits, and a lot of dividing areas all over the place at big festivals.
