P-36 LiteFighter - Verner 7U Radial Engine Runs 

They are adjustable but currently not in-flight. We will work on adding that functionality later.

P-36 is only the start but yes, there's lots more out there that are truly compelling.

I found this Bc I was trying to find someone who has designed a Corsair project around a quality radial engine. Please!

The problem with a P-47 is that it’s so darn huge. I don’t think Verner radials currently has an engine that could do the Jug justice. Maybe if they could make a 10 or 14 cylinder using 2 of the 5 or 7 cylinder engines and get over 200 horsepower. Then you need a reduction gear to keep the prop at a manageable speed, and it would be so heavy you would need a whole new airframe. They have a prototype F6F Hellcat design though so if they used that airframe you could do a Corsair and Thunderbolt that would look appropriate for their size.

@@bocefusmurica4340 The same company, scalebirds, they started with a 2 seat F6F design that I think they had the fuselage partially completed on. Then they switched to the P-36 to make something more achievable. There’s pictures and some information on it on their website.

And he loved every minutes of it !
