Another fabulous vlog! Arcadia was my first P&O ship but it was so long ago that I don't remember much of the layout. I do remember that I enjoyed it and was lucky to have decent dining companions. Even Arvia has tired looking areas - already, so Arcadia's decor didn't look too shabby in comparison. Glad you went for it with the Christmas shirt!
Tipsy Jamie was on form in this video! 😂😘 Also, I can relate to all the coughing and spluttering as I was on arvia a few weeks ago and people were gross!
I really have a soft spot for Arcadia. Totally agree that the odd little tired corner is less important to me than the service, the food and the comfort, which is everywhere. Glad you had such a good time. You seemed very relaxed and uninhibited on this voyage. Happy Christmas to you and Maffoo.
Thank you Jamie, Amsterdam looked lovely, as for the ship, I do love the traditional ship look, the being able to walk right round with beautiful views, that has been lost on the bigger ships, I was on Arcadia years ago but didn't recognise much of the layouts due to changes, also adults only is a bonus.. I do think a cruise isn't the best type of holiday for a child, so many better options out there...
Jamie, you’d love Holland America and we’d like to see it through your lens. I never watch anyone’s ship tours as I find them dull and prefer to be surprised when I cruise.
Hi Jamie, Great review on Arcadia ,thanks for sharing, looks a much better ship than reviews have implied,,,, Especially thought Cher sounded brilliant, great entertainment .😀
The info you provided as good as ever and never boring as you throw in humour and facts so well. Happy Christmas to you and Mafoo and safe fun sailings and hold 2024. Keep the clogs coming I mean vlogs .. your Dutch influence 😉👍🍹
Jamie totally agree with the wash basin Situation on Arcadia, what was more infuriating was certain guests singing happy birthday while washing their hands (this was the advice from the captain ) we gave up using buffet in end .
Great informative vlog as usual..and I totally agree re waiting and service..I don’t want to do that !..and no Xmas markets..I wouldn’t have been happy😮
Great vlog Jamie. Thanks for the info about getting around Amsterdam independently. I really want to do the 4 night Ventura trip next year. It looks like you had a fab time. 😎
Brilliant vlog Jamie. Absolutely love Amsterdam. The first time I was there with Daniel we did the Splash Tours trip which was a bright yellow amphibious coach that went from road to water, it was brilliant especially seeing the looks on peoples faces when they seen a coach in the water. The fries looked delish. The ship looks brilliant, and for me as long as the ship is comfortable thats all I mind especially as she is an older ship its understandable she'll need some TLC in areas. I think personally I would do the speciality dining instead of eating in the main dining area especially with wait times and like you I wouldn't feel comfortable being on my own and sitting at a table of 8 people.
Hi Jamie… absolutely loved this vlog, you have talked me into this ship 🚢 so I’m looking at a sneaky little cruise on Star Wars day to Belgium to try her out…. Only I haven’t told Gary yet!!!! 😅
The canal tour was good value for money a quarter of the P & O price. Their mission statement for excursions...."never give a sucker an even break". Is the pre breakfast handwashing a Norovirus measure ? Great video 👍🏻
This was great Jamie and it looked so much fun! I would love to do a short Christmas cruise and to see the ship all Christmassy just worried about the weather that time of year I think you went end of November? I’m already booked 2 cruises for next year but this would be great to do with my group of friends 😊
Thanks for the Arcadia vlogs Jamie, we really enjoyed them. Thinking of adding Arcadia to the list. We went to Amsterdam back in June on Ventura, was a great time. And yes, we paid just €13 each for the canal tour.
