Another great series, Stacey and Kev and we enjoyed this overall review. Great information for those either going or thinking about an P&O cruise. For those like us we like talking, seeing food and entertainment offered! 😁😁Sounds like a wonderful trip. We also looking forward to your upcoming video's for your return to the US. Only ever sailed on P&O and have noticed staffing issues on ships recently. Also costs are being cut across the board. On Arvia for first time in 2 weeks can't wait . Enjoyed your Vlog as usual. Roll on Alaska !!
Hi... All great information. Regarding food, yes - everyone has an opinion. What is good to some is awful to other's. Regarding the cabin. I would have requested to have it cleaned again with a vacuum. Sometimes I think when people go on vacation they forget manner's, respect and common sense. Saying- "Oh they have people to clean that up, just leaving food wherever they are. Yes, I have called people out on some of thier choice's. Thank you.
Just watched your retrospective review on Britannia. Great. For info when we were on Sindu was fully booked but we went to the restaurant and were able to manually book with a member of staff for the following day, so don’t assume all speciality restaurants are fully booked if the app says so. You might be lucky like us. Hope this helps.
When I watched this series, I got the feeling it didn't give you as much of a buzz as virtuosa.. I have seem mixed reviews of P&O... lol you haven't sold it to me... But, on back of your MSc reviews, I have three cruises booked on virtuosa and one booked on Euribia lol Keep up the good work. :)
We enjoyed it overall and would sail on the Britannia again depending on the itinerary but we did absolutely love the Virtuosa 😁. We would love to get on the Euribia too at some point

Thanks for this. I've seen your vlogs on the MSC Virtuosa and that looks to have an excellent buffet, while my experience on the P&O Ventura buffet was disappointing. I also found the P&O app to be very limited ( much less info than the Marella one) and had to carry the Horizon newsletter with me. I enjoyed P&O, but would prefer a better quality buffet option if they keep their dress codes in the restaurant.
Hey guys only 21 days til my next cruise so my mum and dad and friends booked 17th june msc virtuosa france and spain last year in oct i got booked on the 21st march deluxe interior with a non alcoholic drinks package so im now very excited to be seeing all the staff that i knew last year and to see the robot again ports are la rochelle bilbao a coruna and cherbourg again xxx❤😊

Stayed on the Britannia a few years ago and the first thing thing I noticed on entering the cabin was the dirty sheets, which were grey in colour and rips in them. And the cabin was not very clean at all. I don’t expect too much but you are still paying a decent price so a clean cabin should be a must. Very disappointed and to be honest it has put us off cruising. After watching your vlogs I am considering booking a different cruise line sometime next year. So we will be watching to see what others you travel on and hopefully find one better than the Britannia
Hi guys love your very informative videos and really looking forward to your Alaska cruise. We’ve only done 2 cruises both with P and O the latest with Arcadia and had a dreadful experience then. Same problems as you’ve highlighted. Very understaffed and queuing , even for freedom dining and then forced to sit on tables of 6 strangers which is not what we would have chosen. The website/app is dreadful. We’ve never been able to prebook any restaurants which then means a bun fight when people embark onto the ship . Many passengers disappointed. Will defo try another cruise line next time. 😊
@@OneCouplesAdventure really don’t know. You always manage to bag real bargains for your cruises. Just under £700 for both of you for the last cruise is amazing especially during school holiday times. Any recommendations ?
We tend to use cruise nation but will just google around and find who is cheapest but with doing youtube we try to fit in as as many as possible we try to keep the price low with things like we don't mind not having a balcony if need be and obviously us never having a drinks package. So think it all depends on what you want 😁 if we weren't doing youtube and they were more like holidays and we weren't filming we wouldn't have as many so would probably have the extras 😁
Hi Both, we are loving the content in your vlogs, really informative and entertaining as well. We have a question about dining and theatre shows. We are cruising on the P & O britannia in June and have chosen the Select option. With this option we had a choice of having a set evening meal time of 18.30 or 20.30. We chose 20.30 as we enjoy eating later in the evening. However, we have since found out the theatre shows are at 19.30 and 21.30. Our question is how long do the theatre shows last? If we went to the 19.30 theatre show, would we be out in time to go to dinner at 20.30? Are the shows under one hour? Richard and Mandy
Being British we grew up thinking P&O were the best but of the 3 lines we have done so far they are the weakest by miles. We are on Iona in July so thats their second and last chance. We aren’t cruise snobs but to many these are once in a lifetime holidays so they deserve what they pay for.
Hope you have a better experience the 2nd Time round. We would do the Britannia again if we got a great deal but are looking forward to trying different cruise lines. Just done princess and it was fantastic
@@OneCouplesAdventure love Princess. We’re back on Sky Princess in September. Not sure if you’re aware but they are doing half price Princess plus just now. £25 a day for drinks, WiFi and tips. Unbeatable.
Oh no that's a great deal. Think we're trying a Royal Caribbean next but definitely have the Sky Princess on the list. We've seen some princess ships sailing to Hawaii. That's the next bucket list one 😁
I thought cleanliness was an issue on Brittania ,I am convinced that the carpet in our cabin wasn’t hovered in the whole week we were onboard ,also health and safety issues with trays being left outside cabins for hour and hours. I did like Brittania but would have liked her more if it had a midship prom deck. On the whole I would rate it 8out of 10 . As for the app I did rename it crap because of issues with it.
Looks like you also thought the same as us then for a few things, and haha Nicknamed it Crap 🤣. We would sail on the Britannia again though in the future but it would also depend on the itinerary
Hello to you both We enjoyed the videos of the the Britannia as we can compare your views to ours We will have to agree with you the buffet food and the cleanness poor 5/10 The main restaurant was hit and miss with food and service 6 /10 The glass house food and service 10/10 The lime light club 10/10 Bars we used service hit and miss 7/10 The retreat food and service 10/10 The P&O APP total waste of time 0/10 A lot of the staff didn't look like they wanted to be there, think they work long hours so will give them 8/10 would not rush back to cruise on the Britannia but never save never we can only go in school holiday times as the wife is a teacher, we are not saying we don't like kids, but we don't want them on our cruise lets see more cruises for adults only. You are know as one couples adventure we are going to be know as grumpy couples adventure Looking forward to our Alaska videos

Hello Kev and Stacey We are going to the Fjords in August this year on the Aurora adults only for 12 nights. Hoping we don’t get any of the rain that you had. Looking at a week at Christmas but only from Southampton but not a lot of choice for us. We are looking at July 2024 transatlantic round trip on the Queen Mary 2 shouldn’t been many kids on that. Just got to do the home work on what’s it’s going to be like. As your videos have great information Just thinking could you squeeze in the transatlantic crossing before August 2024 no pressure. We were on Britannia last month and paid extra for a superior deluxe cabin. We were on a deck directly under the lido deck..... DO NOT stay in these cabins as they were extremely noisy and the noise continued for up to 15 hours most days... Dragging of chairs etc.
I like your blogs, and I think Brittania is a lovely ship, except for the awful Dining Room, with harsh LED lights. It was like eating in a posh motorway services. We had good food in the MDR, but the Glass House was fantastic. On a Ventura cruise last year we could not believe how many kids were just left to run about the ship, the hot tubs looked like soup, there was no entertainment or sailaway parties around the pool...It really wasn't anything like cruising. I totally agree about the open plan dining rooms (I hated the ones on Iona) with people walking by a looking at you while you were eating, and loud music at times. Bloody awful idea.
P and O are usually really fast, I expect that is why they were complaining. On watching your videos we had a choice of Britannia or Iona and Iona won, Britannia looks dowdy in comparison...we went on Arvia early on this year and loved that...
Hi, people were getting there a few hours before their embarkation time but then P&O weren't letting you in. To be fair once your embarkation time came and you went in they were actually very quick at checking you in etc 👍
i think a lot of people are apologists about the declining quality of the buffet and just in denial. The cleanliness is entirely down to selfish passengers who wont clear up after themselves
Hi, never been on a cruise before. Were stuck between booking the Arvia or The Britannia. We will be going with our 1 year old, and good food in the MDR is a priority. Any advice?
Hi, we have done lots videos on both the Britannia and Arvia, especially covering a lot of the food. It's hard to say what others would prefer but just maybe watch as many videos as you can ( lots of other vloggers have done them too) and just see what you think appeals to you best. The itinerary the ship is doing would also be important to us too 😁
Have you had any issues with P&O regarding the tins of soft drinks you carry on? I assume that they scan your backpack when boarding or is that not the case.
Hi you are allowed to take soft drinks on board the ship. There is limit but check out their website for correct and accurate amounts. We only consume them in the cabin also
Britannia was nice for a week if you can get a good deal, if we could we'd go back on but for longer cruises or a transatlantic one we'd want to do MSC as their ships have lot more things to do on them to keep us busy
