If you have restricted mobility, have been allocated a limited mobility cabin and are wondering what to expect or just want to learn more about the different cabins on the P&O Pacific Encounter then this video is for you.
P&O have made some adaptations to some of their standard cabins to accommodate passengers who may struggle with mobility. These are referred to as limited mobility cabins on the deck plan.
In this video we look around inside cabin 11316 on the Pacific Encounter and show you what changes there are.
PLEASE NOTE: This is different to an accessible cabin which is a lot larger cabin and is designed to accommodate wheelchairs and scooters. The limited mobility cabins are a standard size cabin with changes made to assist.

Useful tip get a hand towel and place it over the seat in the shower, makes it nonslip and a softer seat.

For an accessible room, the space beside the bed is very small, and some grab rails beside the bed might be good too, but they'd be in the way when the bed is split into two singles.

She is an ex Princess ship that was rebranded the door stops were in the cabins on the Princess ships that we have been on. You get flannels and hand towels on the Princess ships, but P&O cut things, the carpets on on all P&O ships are the same.

Love your videos on cruising. I plan on going on a cruise on the Pacific Encounter later this year 2024. Just saw your video on limited mobile cruise ship cabin tour. Very interesting. I am wondering whether you may consider posting a video on access for people with a disability on the ship itself as I do have a vision disability as well as mobility issues thank you.
