Thanks a lot brother! I had P0171 code cleared it and then it came back a few days later. I wasn’t sure what to think so I got on RU-vid. Your video took me to my exact problem. My pcv hose has an obvious crack in it. I will be replacing this asap. Thanks for saving me a substantial amount of cash because the dealer would have took me for ride lol

Unfortunately my Cadillac was not giving me any lean codes. After watching your video I I performed closer inspection of the vacuum hoses and lo and behold on the underside it was cracked at both ends. Thank you for posting this video. I didn't want to pay $180 per hour for the dealership to work on my ATS again.

You don’t need the modified fuel line disconnect tools. Each of those hoses has a small opening on the side of them where the locking tabs are that allows you to take your finger nail and push the locking tab open to release it.

Too lean, i would check the air cleaner to make sure its not affecting airflow...look for any other possible air leak point..if thats all ok..i would clean the maf sensor cause a dirty maf sensor could cause a system too lean code...even a dirty throttle body can cause that, i had to clean the throttle body on a chevy malibu with same engine because it was sticking open for that same code...if thats fine..then maybe ur oxygen sensor may be dirty or not functioning as well..i would check all those

Hello How do you remove the pcv valve that sits on top of engine. The firs connection piece you removed??? Please and thanks 🙏
@backyardchevy328
@backyardchevy328 2 года назад
Well that pcv valve is held in by clips that grab on the inside of the valve cover and unfortunately the only way to remove it is wiggling it upwards..trying to pull it/pry up as straight as u can
@HarryHeckDiecast
@HarryHeckDiecast 11 месяцев назад
If you have a replacement uses big blade screw driver and pry it up slowly if anything breaks there is a flat metal bottom so if anything falls in it won't fall into the head you can pick out the debris with some pliers or tweezers
