I hate to tell you, but both sensors in the front of the valve body are input speed sensors one and two. The output speed sensor bolts to the back of the transmission and takes it's signal of the park pawl. You have to remove the extension housing to replace it. I did that already and that is how I know it's there. That didn't fix it and I ended up having to replace the TCM on the valve body. Here's the thing, there is a lot of "refurbished TCMs and valve bodies available on Ebay and they are dirt cheap. You get what you pay for. If you scroll down you will notice that all of them are made in China. If you like doing the same job twice then that is what you will buy.
@@TrinityParaziader hi mate I always prefer to buy valve body from Nissan I did this before 2 time after market valve bodies are wasted.by the way I never seen input sensor outside in these models i think 1 you are talking about it’s crank sensor with 3 wires
P0720 is a output speed sensor DTC. Output sensor located between AT and transfer box. Why you tell, that sensor located on valve body? It is input speed sensors. Or I am wrong?
Yes you are right but this car is 2wd no transfer case 2nd there is sensor in front output shaft before propeller shaft but this valve body have built in 2 sensor input and output.
hello bother i have a 2013 nissan patrol platinum its sometimes not shifting gears and showing 4wd light, i already change the acuator motor but still problem doenst shift properly help me
If you have changed the valve body, and code still pops up then it’s time to change transmission. People often change the transmission before spending money on a new valve body with a new sensor, it’s more convenient. And it’s 50/50 with changing the valve body. So your wasting money if the new valve body doesn’t work, you can spend 1k on a new transmission and never have the code again
Hello brother I change the full gear for my Nissan patrol platinum and still this code showing (I installed used transmission) kindly help me out what can be the problem now?
If ECU getting speed signals trough Abs it’s will shift the gear.check the fuses or might be instrument cluster have problem but first you have to check speed signals trough obd
I’m having the same problem and it’s 65k miles on the trans , all my friends are recommending a different transmission not from q50 but eithe g37 or vr30
@@12MRJERSEYyessir but a new tcm cost just as much what the shop charged me for Vr30 trans swap on my car, I wasn’t gonna run the same tcm just to go through the same problem again that is very common with the 3.7 trans
@@Erik9264581 do you know if i need to program my 3.7 q50 i swap it to a 2019 3.0 trans and its drives shifts hard when going to gears and car doesn't go pass 80 or after 3th- 4th gear
