The upstream ones are the same for bank 1 and bank 2, the downstream ones are the same for bank 1 and bank 2. You cannot just swap an upstream for a downstream one.
Hi bro. I changed the sensor the actual Denso one and the light is still on and when I start the car when cold it juges really bad in idle what do i do please help me
Thank you for comments bro. First of all it' better connect you Jag to a diagnostic scanner and find out what is the fault code. It may be not referring to the O2 sensor at all. In my case faulty O2 sensor didn't result in a really bad rough idle. Really bad rough idle is more likely to be caused with faulty spark plugs. It's better get diagnostic codes of the engine.
Yes bro i no I’ll get the computer and check for any codes but i recently had it serviced and everything and had coil plugs and spark pluges changed so much headache lool
I can tell you for sure, my friend, that only emission catalysts will let Jaguar X-type pass the emission test. It goes without saying, all the 4 oxygen sensors should be in working condition, otherwise the catalysts will not last long. That's how things go on with my X-type, I cannot tell for the others. Good luck to you and your car!
Thank you for replying my friend appreciate it. Its true what you saying only bank 2 code sensor came up on diagnostic once’s i get this part changed will the car run okay again and did it work for you after you changed this part?
@@KaranSingh-tz3nx After I changed a bank 1 oxygen sensor, the P1646 code was gone. As for the bank 2 upstream sensor, I took this video just to show how the bank 2 sensor can be changed. I had no P1647 code. In the near future I plan to take one more video how to replace downstream oxygen sensors on a Jaguar X-type. Just for fellow X-typers.
Okay brilliant if its okay bro could you tell me the symptoms you was haveing when that sensor wasn’t working im haveing bad idle and guggling noise comeing from air system when engine is cold then whens engine is warm the noise stops just lose of power so hopefully when i do change the bank 2 sensor it stop doing that and runs smooth again. Thank you for replying and getting back to me mate really appreciate it thank you
@@KaranSingh-tz3nx The symptom was permanent check engine light, increased fuel consumption and the most evident symptom was that the car was jerking during acceleration in some modes, I even thought that it was a faulty drive shaft. Thank you for your comments, I believe it will be helpful for all X-typers.
Please take a look at his hands 5:00 and 5:10 he missed important thing thats why his hand is scratched in 5:10. So this can take more than he presented.
