20.7.24 scince our first visit five months ago it doesn't look like a lot has been done on the loco but the tender frame has now arrived so the tank and wheels will go on that shortly, have to say a massive thank's to the staff who not only let me cab 2007 but also climb inside the guts of it as well, i dare not put the unedited video of me climbing inside and out again, omg i felt my age haha, anyway 2007 is still on track to run in steam in 2026, the boiler is due to arrive from Germany shortly, it's planned the first run will be double headed with Tornado, can't wait.
While at A1 Steam Trust we had a look at the newly opened "Hometown Darlington", it was really good as you can see from the video with a nice cafe, entrance is free but you do have to book tickets online, it's proberbly safe to say it's aimed at families with kids but being a big kid myself that was great.
