Hi, I got a question. Did you have to load a different base-map for running the high compression pistons? I have read something about running into detonation problems if you dont pre-tune it, resulting in damage. Would appreciate if you could share your insight on this matter
Stacy Pfingsten I’m impressed how it runs! I took it out and give her a little more than 4K but not much more and wow it pulls hard up to around 4.700rpm that’s the highest I wanna take it till it’s fully broke in. It gonna be a rocket of a car
James D guy yeah that added compression should definitely add some torque. You should definitely see another up tick with the addition of the cam. Also the tune will bring out loads of torque as well. I am curious to see what amount of power will be had. Good luck man.
James D guy going with the Hondata huh. I have demon Neptune and I absolutely love it. Lower price and awesome support. It also has 4 outputs as oppposed to 2.
Hi my friend... I have a question.... I want build d16y7 for turbo .. The rods I have to buy with size? Or just y7 rods? And I saw when you assembly the pistons... Isn't necessary balanced the pistons???
I have a question , I finish rebuilding my f22b1 engine ,I crosshatch the cylinders and new rings . And then I let the warm warm up to break in , notice that their was smoking in the exhaust so when I did the compression it was 77,123,126,127...... Do I need to drive it so the compression goes up or do I need to let the car run
Nice video, I have a cuestion. Where can I find pistons p29 ? I have a Honda Civic d16 y7 but I would like to change the pistons p29 does the engine d16 z6 have the pistons p29? Sorry for my bad English.
I have a d16y8 with p29 pistons and 210 psi compression. Do you think that with arp studs on the stock rods only support the internals ones if I increase it to 218 psi?
SI RICKO Idk honestly but you would think it would since the ratio is off. But I have heard people having 180psi as their normal on high compression and some in the lower 300s but I honestly never seen higher than 180psi on low compression pistons but I could just be wrong.
SI RICKO u try to stay away from numbers on compression gauges. There all so different. Don't trust it if it's 120 or 300. It's only to look a the difference in pressure between cylinders to make sure u have a healthy motor.
