We appreciate everyone’s positive comments about this amazing product. Some answers to a few questions/concerns: yes, the grip module will be sold separately for those who have already customized their X5. Yes, if you remove the weight or the magwell, it will be IDPA legal in SSP and ESP (under 43oz). Yes, it will make CO weight...sure, you gain weight with the optic, but you lose enough weight by removing the sight plate assembly. Plus, you could still remove the grip weight and/or magwell. And yes, it really does shoot this well!
Damn it SIG! You guys just keep taking my money. I really love my X5 and now I’m going to have to buy this one now. On a serious note I was not a SIG fan but your X series has won me over and I’m now ditching my glocks and carrying and competing with only my new X series family of pistols. Great job ladies and gents
This is my "go to" gun. I have not shot another gun with this accuracy. I carry her any opportunity I have. I have to give her 100 out of 100. I can not find any fault with her. Thank you for creating my go to. I am planning on taking a few gun classes at Sig when I retire and she will be coming with me. See you in a few. Thanks...
Shot this as a rental at the range and immediately fell in love with it. Even my woman friend did too as heavy as this is. Great recoil, accurancy, grip and looks. Probably will be buying one soon.
Most accurate pistol I've ever shot - better than my Beretta 92A, which was my mainstay for years. My only complaint was the sights (prefer my 320 XCARRY Tritium sights which are easier for me to pick up), they are hard for me to locate inside or in dim light quickly but still shoots dead straight. My favorite handgun by far...
Just got mine today. So much heavier (in a good way) compared to my standard X-Five. Very balanced feel and fits my hand amazingly. The recoil is virtually non-existent! Grip texture seems to be a bit more aggressive than the standard X-Five which is good because I'm not not sure if you can stipple it with the Tungsten infused in the polymer. Took the mag well off and added a DDP to run it in CO tomorrow at Rio Salado Tuesday Night Steel. Can't wait to see how it performs. No excuses left! Also have the Romeo3 Max on pre-order for it.
@@edy7472 I have the Romeo 3 Max on pre-order (the DDP is a place holder) and just got an adapter plate from Springer Precision for it. sku SP0226 - Sig X5
Responding to my own comment below after Phil Strader from Sig Sauer was very helpful and clarified things for me. The Flared Magwell piece alone is so heavy, that when you take it off the firearm is then less than 43 oz so it complies / qualifies for IDPA. It's such a great gun! Beautifully designed by Sig - I bought one... :)
While both are good guns . . . after firing both the Sig P320 X5 Legion and the Walther Q5 Match, my opinion is that the Walther trigger still blows the doors off of the Sig P320 X5 every time.
I’ve always wanted one of these! Unfortunately, it is not first place on my wish list, but the feeling of it is amazing! Would be awesome to use at IDPA match!
how do you like it? Does it feel like it was worth the price? Im really interested in it and it looks awesome but I just feel like it wouldnt be worth spending 900 on a most polymer gun. If the new tungsten infused grip feels AMAZING along with the trigger then I might buy it.
I just want the grip frame. does it feel like metal or plastic? Is the frame stronger or did you just add heavy powder to the polymer slurry? Will the grip frame still melt after a thousand rounds? This could be an awesome advance in tech or it could be bullshit.
Weight doesn’t make a gun recoil less. Balance and moment do. Weight is a factor in so much as the load, the muzzle velocity and the slide/barrel comparative weight/length.
Looks badass but I live in the comi state of Maryland and I will not see that pistol here for another year. That’s about how long it will take to get on the handgun roster! I wish I lived in a free state.
Phil and Sig team, I just bought a X5 Legion and it is awesome right out of the box. The quality is equal to my fully custom tuned carry optics pistol. Does Sig offer an adapter plate for my SRO optic?
Just put 100 rounds through one. Its legit. Other than the Dawson Precision sights needing an initial adjustment, right out of the box I made several pass through shots at 7 yards.
I'm looking at getting into local competition. Is this the Gun recommended for a beginner? I'm retired law enforcement and looking at this for the first time. Can't seem to get answers from anyone. I'm just trying to learn options, classes and organizations.
Just bought a p226 sao legion, and then bought the p320 legion, do you guys make the plate that will adapt it too a rmr? That would be a nice bonus for the buyer like glock does with their mos versions
Phil - Help me! The weight of the gun is 43.5 oz. The 2017 IDPA Rule Book (current on their website) says that the SSP, ESP and CDP Divisions have a weight limit of 43.00 oz. with the empty magazine installed. What am I missing? I must be wrong, but it seems you are not supporting IDPA. Thanks!
Hey guys will you be offering this grip module on it's own so we can upgrade our current 320 x5s? Since I bought mine in Canada it didn't have a magwell and I want to add that on mine with this extra weight. And also will we be able to upgrade our trigger assembly to this new trigger? Or is it just the package on it's own.
1:58 3.5 pound - which division is this? Production has 5 pound if I’m not totally off. Would have been an awesome production gun when removing the magwell, but I guess the lighter trigger disqualifies it?
Phil, what does the magwel weigh? IDPA wants 43 oz with the heaviest mag inserted. Can I get that by just taking off the magwell? Or do I have to do some surgery on the grip weight?
Will we be able to buy the new frame & recoil guide rod & springs separately? Does sig offer upgrading a normal p320 trigger group to x5 legion standards? I ask because I'm in CA and can't simply buy a new 320 legion. I have to upgrade the one I managed to get private party.
I've been wanting a p320 legion series pistol but would only get it with a small grip module. The x-series grip modules in medium just don't fit my small hands :(
shuasage have you tried the x compact? It's a little smaller in every aspect. Btw, you must have some damn baby mitts if you can't get them around an x series sig.
I just got mine yesterday .....P320 X5 Legion. Looks and feels good but I have only 1concern that is the slide moves side to side is that normal? My P320 Vtac has a tight slide no movement from side to side. Anyone experiencing this problem?
