Nice video TJ! You probably do not know this guy, but there was a guy called Matt Davies. He made really good videos. Ever since he died a few years back, I've felt quite sad knowing his era of quality videos has ended. Thankfully I found you a few months back with top quality videos just like Matt. Thanks for putting time aside from your busy life for us to make these astounding videos, and we will one day get up to at least 100k subscribers!

Thank you so much Sam! Truly inspiring words. I for sure knew Matt Davies. His videos were the first ones with flight sim content I ever saw. So he was very inspirational to me and I was indeed very sad to hear im passing. I will keep it up for you to enjoy and also because I very much enjoy creating the videos :D

Answering your question about the hydraulics on pushback, both pump a and pump b are set to on as the disconnect pin is installed, however the brake accumulator is charged from the b system hydraulics and the nose wheel steering is powered by the a system

Really nice video tj as usual! And for your question about the engine sounds for someone that's been in the max 20 times if not more, the sounds are really accurate

Nice video! Just a quick one: You should start the flare around 20 to 10 ft callout not earlier otherwise you float!

The Leap are very powerful indeed. They are like Mini GE90. Even F2D said that even at idle, when you release parking brake, the plane will move on its own, while in the NG, It doesn't. Yes, the engines are very quiet.

Motoring the engines is to prevent a Bowed rotor due to the asymmetric cooling of the engine during turnaround, the engine will motor to ensure that it cools before it can be started effectively

Very cool flight :) and it really is a good aircraft! I like the way you brief us into the flight with Navigraph, but maybe you could also show the OFP in the future?
@tjpilot5913

HUD is usually for CAT II and III approaches so you have a better chance of seeing the runway. I like your videos by the way, I might replace my PMDG 737 with the iFly because I’ve experienced a lot of CTDs and their support forum is not helpful.
@tjpilot5913
@tjpilot5913 7 месяцев назад
Ok cool, thanks for the info regarding the use of HUD :)
@SEAAviator
@SEAAviator 7 месяцев назад
I know of one specific U.S. airline that requires the HUD use during takeoff and landing on the -800 and -900 mainly for tail strike avoidance. On the -700 it’s optional. Although some captains that are reluctant to use the HUD turn the brightness all the way down to make it ineffective lol. I’m sure many others have the same policy though

Hi TJ, I don’t know why the pressurisation has failed in AUTO but you need to CLOSE the valve in manual mode to pressurise the aircraft. In effect, by opening the valve, you’ve just put a big hole in it. (Not unusual in the Max 😉 )
@tjpilot5913
@tjpilot5913 7 месяцев назад
Hahaha, love your comment reg. the Max :DDDD Yeah I was thinking the same first, but since cabin altitude was way above my flight altitude, I figures opening the valve will only bring it down to at least my flight altitude. I did try to close the valve as well, but it brought the same result of -500 fpm cabin altitude...
@keynoteFlyer
@keynoteFlyer 7 месяцев назад
@@tjpilot5913 Unless there’s something wrong with the simulation (very possible when loading a saved scenario) your cabin altitude can never be above the aircraft actual altitude. When completely depressurised the cabin altitude will equal the aircraft altitude. When you show the pressurisation gauge at 30:24 the small needle shows that the cabin altitude is 38,000 ft (your cruising altitude) and the large needle shows that the differential pressure is zero. One of the Memory Recall items in a decompression is to select the controller to Manual Mode and CLOSE the outflow valve in an attempt to re-pressurise the aircraft. The cabin will descend slowly. Hope this helps. . . . I really enjoyed the video btw. I flew bigger Boeings IRL but never the B737. You’ve convinced me to add this to my P3D. Cheers

@planefreak747

I see that pressurization switch was set to manual instead of auto I think that’s what caused that cabin altitude issue lol
@tjpilot5913
@tjpilot5913 7 месяцев назад
Nah I switched it to manual after the cabin altitude increased so much. I think it is just a bug in the aircraft.

Hey TJ! Just got this bird recently and love it. By any chance do you have issues with higher cpu temps when running 5.4? I recently reverted to 5.3 and noticed the difference immediately. But, am trying to figure out what tweaks are necessary for a healthy temp in 5.4.
@tjpilot5913
@tjpilot5913 7 месяцев назад
Hi, I have not noticed a difference particularly between .3 and .4, but P3D is generally quite hard on the CPU. Objects draw distance and level of detail are the most important CPU settings. Try to reduce those and see if it makes a difference.

@@tjpilot5913 Noted, thank you. I’ll give that a try. Curious, did you simply update the client to 5.4 or did you do a full install when updating?

hey mate, thinking of getting p3d and just had one question. is it possible to bind like autothrottle, autopilot all those buttons for the pmdg777 to a joystick without using fsuipc? not familiar with the sim so i dont really know how all that stuff works.
@tjpilot5913
@tjpilot5913 7 месяцев назад
Hey mate. to assign buttons and keys is no problem at all. I think it gets tricky when you want to assign axis. I believe for that you will need fsuipc.

@@tjpilot5913 thanks for the response. i managed to get p3d and assigned everything quite nice, did a full 777lr flight with no issues however when i try to move my camera around the cockpit with my mouse i find it very annoying and snappy, i also saw that lets say if i wanted to change the baro altemeter from 400-700 i would have to click 300 times to get it to 700 as my scroll wheel isnt working on p3d. do you have a fix for the snappy cockpit and the scroll wheel issue? also your movement in the cockpit is very swift and smooth, are you using any external addons beside chase planes?
