The P-51D Mustang is presented in the colours of the „Frances Dell“ as the plane of Lt. Clark Clemons, the 84th Fighter Squadron of the 78th Fighter Group.
The 78th Fighter Group in the 8th Air Force of the US Army with its „Checkerboard“ P51 Mustang was based at the legendary airfield RAF Duxford in Cambridgeshire / UK.
During World War II young men like Lt. Clark Clemons or CO Lt. Col John D. Landers flew their missions throughout whole Europe from Duxford.
