P90 in other games: can barely kill a man without dumping the whole mag. P90 in scp containment breach: doesn’t give a fuck what kind of armor your wearing.
i actually loved scp's use of the P90. im glad they actually chose a weapon that makes sense for the unit instead of some big ass rifle that would suck to use in close quarters like site 18.
Lmao, this is just the FAL 's story but with PDW's person: "Look at this cutting-edge well-designed weapon, that meets all our requirements" influential country: "This gun is indeed very neet . In what part of our country do we produce this firearm ?" person: " well it's actually made in Bel..." influential country: "OH HELL NO"
@@torgranael the lower caliber makes it have less kick. The ergos make the p90 hard to train peaple with and less accurate unless held by a pro. The p90 is also bigger than a folded mp7. It also supports accessories worse. It is also probably lighter, with less, lower caliber rounds in the mag and without added components to make the form factor work. The mags of the p90 are also funky, slow to reload and hard to carry, with specific gear to hold it. Gun design has basicly no right and wrong choices, only comprimises.
@@a-drewg1716 technicly, the mp7 mag and action are behind the trigger,so it can be classified as a bullpup. Also,i mentioned the size and folding related things already.
Belgians: "The 5.7mm ammo is meant to more closely mimic the stopping power, penetrative capabilities, and range offered by assault rifles." Video Games: Lets give it shit range and low damage.
That's accurate. The peas I had for dinner last night was so hard you could probably load it in a musket with some gunpowder, shoot it, and it probably would've penetrated 1.5mm layers of titanium, 20 layers of kevlar at a range of 150 meters and became the standard NATO PDW cartridge.
The P90 is an historical anomaly. It’s a weapon using a bizarre and unique system of feeding ammunition, while meeting unrealistic goals in the design specifications, that was actually incredibly successful
@@Maximus20778it was successful in satisfying the design specification while also being an effective and functional firearm. The goal of it being adopted as NATO's standard PDW and being massively widespread is a different story
What's most amazing is that it's incredibly simple from a mechanical standpoint. If H&K needed to make a compact rifle with a perpendicular 50-rd magazine they'd probably draw from the G11 and it would be a mechanical headache
@@StealthOMato But it was german and i agree that vietnam wasnt our business. But iraq and stuff is because 2000+ people died of a terrorist attack. 9/11.

HK also gave up on the UCP, the pistol chambered in 4.6mm, in 2009 because the round didn't provide the necessary ballistics from a pistol - meaning they also gave up on the 4.6mm project altogether, really. They should just rechamber the MP7 for 5.7mm and move on with the veto, especially since use of the 5.7mm cartridge is growing currently. 4.6mm will only be necessary for those that already ought the MP7.
@@Tedris4 I don’t think an MP7 would be able to chamber the 5.7x28 cartridge. The 4.6x30mm looks more like a squat 9mm cartridge, while the 5.7x28mm looks more like a miniature 5.56. It would need major retooling and would make it look pretty weird.
@@freezy2755 I've done a lot of trialling with the p90, it's ttk is way too slow to be competitive against smgs up close, and it's got almost the worst range of the smgs so even the scar is better at range, they've just cocked up the p90 completely, made it crap because it's got a 50 round magazine
@@saabaton169 Have you tried the forge tac retribution barrel? it increases velocity by 200% so it has a faster velocity than a lot of the ars and it increases range a lot so you could use it as an ar if you wanted to. If you haven't in your trials it's worth a try
@@freezy2755 that was all I was using, it's decent in multiplayer, but an enemy you're shooting at can literally sit down and have a beer before running out of sight before you've emptied your 50 rounds to kill him, damage is just too low on the p90 which is annoying as warzone is all about body armor and the p90 is designed for it and beat the mp7, which is a better gun anyway that u can then put a 60 round mag on and it makes the p90 pointless anyway, so we're stuck with a game where 80% of guns are not competitive, and we have duplicates like two 1911's and two rpgs for literally no reason
@@firehunterz2311 I mean nobody critizes the Holocaust anymore or the Wehrmacht in Barbarossa but they critize the bombs. To be honest, people who say that already hate the US and are finding more ways to critiize it, like the M14. I can name warcrimes that were as immoral as the US's but aren't as critized in the comments such as the bombings of Dresden.
The PS90 has seen commercial success here in the states. It's compact, ideal for indoors, which makes it more than applicable for home defense, and the rounds are designed to destabilize after striking mediums like dry wall to cut down on over penetration, so your neighbors don't become part of your gun fight.
Maybe in a semi auto configuration sure but full auto? Nope. Federal assault weapons ban of 1994 put a stop to that Only full auto firearms that predate the ban can be sold/owned making it a very small market with full auto weapons going for over 10,000$ Basically of you want a modern day full auto firearm you need to get a semi auto firearm and then configure it yourself to full auto But once you do so it's illegal on the federal level so you better keep that full auto out on the country back road where the eyes of the law aren't looking
What the hell kinda “home defense” requires a 50 round SMG? You expecting the entire 101st Airborne to be kicking down your door? You’re still going to lose.
noytagaming Stuart gets a picture of anything, slaps it in Adobe Illustrator and pen tool/traces the silhouette of the object. The transitions are quite simple. Get a picture of text with an outline and no fill and a picture of text with fill and you make a wipe transition in Sony Vegas.
Because a solid understanding of good engineering surpasses all traditional bounds of entertainment? It's why How It's Made was so incredibly popular, despite mostly just being video footage of production lines.

The croissant, a compact deliciously lethal piece of water infused wheat and butter that makes it great for operations. A french weapon but it has been adopted by tons of countries and comes in games from time to time. Never underestimate this Frenchman’s gun.
me and my dad loved Stargate sg1 my uncle once had a rant about how unrealistic the "rifle" was they were using and we laughed at em and was like eh it's just a sci-fi mp5 get over it. then a few months later we learned it was real and my dad went out and purchased one still a favorite of my gun collection.
Well now I'm jealous lol. I've got an airsoft version, but we can't get the civilian version here in New Zealand. The ergonomics are definitely funky as hell, but it's grown on me.
I recently built a 10/22 PS90, conversion kit. I love the ergos of the bullpup configuration. Compared to the stock 10/22 (hell, even my AR9), it's extremely comfortable to shoot.
@@wardog0086 Honestly its deadass the only reason I like america. They atleast let you enjoy hobbies no matter how dangerous they are. Compared to other countries which woudl litter and destroy hobbies with stupid regulations and beurcarcy
Yeah although one part that was pretty unrealistic was when SG1 tries to convince the Jaffa that human weapons are not to be underestimated. Carter just casually saws a tree trunk in half with one mag of her P90, then snipes a thick rope clean off with a single bullet. Good scene overall, but pretty laughable.
I got a chance to fire a P90 in Las Vegas at Battlefield indoor range a few years ago. It was the most stable and comfortable gun I have ever shot. The P90 ergonomics are top notch.
The reason why the P90 was used in Stargate SG1 was not because it looked futuristic, but because the cartridge cases were ejected downwards, resulting in fewer injuries for the actors. In the beginning, the MP-5 was still used. It was not until around season 3 that they switched to the P90.
I heard that it also looked better on camera due to ejecting out the bottom, you'd never get a cartridge case covering an actor's face at a dramatic moment.
Meanwhile in CS:GO Five-seveN: Able to one-shot kill opponents wearing helmets P90, from the same company and fires the same caliber: "99 damage in 99 hits"

Jack holding a staff weapon: "This is a weapon of terror. It's meant to intimidate your enemy." Jack holding a P90: "This is a weapon of war! It's meant to kill your enemy!"
I like that one scene from SG where they give rebels weapon crates full of P90, and the rebels apologize and ask what are those because they are used to spearguns. They setup a shooting range, a guy with polearm shoots three times, misses once, does slight burning damage to the taget. Then Carter takes her p-90 and proceeds to cut the target in half
Here's my next suggestions: -Flamethrowers: Sadistic, and terrifying, Iconic across many games of all time. All fast paced run & gun shooters tend to feature one. -Crossbow: Iconic in many genres of games, from Medieval games, to shooters when you need a quiet option that reuses its ammo. Was a firm favourite of mine in Perfect Dark! -UMP: Usually the .45 variant in many modern shooters where you need an SMG that hits hard. Call of Duty: Modern Warfare and Counter Strike have both cemented the reputation of the game in particular. -Glock Pistols: Gangbangers, cops, personal defense... Glocks do it all and are very prevalent in many modern crime games. -Mosin-Nagant: The Mosin-Nagant has been a staple firearm of the former Eastern Bloc for a very long time. It emerged in 1891 and still sees use today. Many a WW2 shooter has featured the weapon, but it also has become iconic in many video games set in the present as well such as Day Z and Insurgency. -Steyr AUG: Space age looking, compact, and providing reliable firepower behind it. Popular in many modern shooters. Many sci-fi and futuristic games use guns similar in appearance too, due to its strange futuristic appearance. -PSG1: Not as popular as it once was, but this was in many video games seen as the ultimate modern sniper rifle that could do it all. The Metal Gear Solid series, Soldier of Fortune series and Delta Force come to mind with this one. -Lee-Enfield: Any WW2 shooter probably has one if it features the British. It's also in many WW1 shooters, with many different variants. Even appears today in the Middle East on the battlefields of Afghanistan. -Winchester Lever Guns: Any Western themed game is going to see one of these, they are so iconic its ridiculous. -Makarov PM: The ultimate Russian pistol, iconic from Cold War games, as well as modern shooters, spy games, seen as the bad guy pistol often times. -MAC-10: The gangbangers favourite. Loads of a firepower that you can hide in your pocket. The bad guy SMG. -M203: When you want to annihilate everyone in the room with a single shot, switch to this instead of your rifle. Modern military shooters are almost guaranteed to showcase one. -RPG-7: See that enemy tank or vehicle? It's no more. Modern military shooters, a terrorists favourite against vehicles. Also great for many action Hollywood esque games, when the bad guy needs to cause absolute destruction. -MP40: The Nazi gun. I can't think of a single WW2 shooter in Europe that will not showcase this gun. It's a defining weapon of any WW2 game. -MG42: The Nazi turret. Most WW2 shooters will showcase this weapon, and it's generally combined with absolutely horrifying levels of ripping noises when its fired due to the sheer rate of fire. When you want to know how it feels to be pinned down by an enemy and accepting that you're probably going to die where you are, try and face off against a bad guy's MG42.
Aidan Templeton The Flamethrower is the most likely. From the Dawn of man's discovery of Fire, to the Greek Fire, to world war 1 & 2, to the Vietnam war with Agent Orange, to the Geneva banning fire weapons, to how they work in games being somehow close range when they can be long range.
You forgot the panzerfaust a Nazi Anti tank weapon using HEAT rounds which was made before the RPG. STG 44 which inspired the AK-47 but not as reliable Luger P08 Classic German pistol M1 Carbine the American rifle used by the boys in the sky M3 "Grease gun"'very reliable and controllable SMG used by the Americans and replaced the Thompson FG-42 a Nazi paratrooper assault rifle that used full rifle rounds

I think this is one of those "perfect" videos for my tastes. Writing is great, pacing is good, visuals are top notch and god the music just sticks with me! I come back to this video every now and then and it keeps being just as good as it was the last time I watched it. Definitely taking notes for my own work, thanks Ahoy!
WAIT XBOX AHOY STILL MAKES VIDEOS!? Man I totally forgot about this guy, I used to watch him back in the Black Ops 1 days! Thank every divine power this was in my recommended (despite me not having played games or watched any gaming vids for four years haha).
Same man.. I was just thinking of him now and searched his name to see if he was still making videos! Haven't watched him in a good 3-4 years! So random to find someone in a similar boat.
I wish more people could say that to me. All I get is this: "Oh my god, are you 12?" "You're such a fag." It's only when I talk to others and sing that I actually get admired. So sad. :(

@Magni56 American Standard for years was .30 caliber as the minimum cartridge. The m14 was chosen in place of the FAL Or G3 which were superior options because of generals in the military favoring American designs. The switch to 5.56x45 was made by almost every part of NATO.
Yeah I find it easier to kill with it than Deagle in eco rounds.... 42 .50 Action Express bullets vs 120 5.7 Lapua Magnum bullets? Yeah I'd take the latter any day....
This is tangential but relevant: I showed my mother your video and it turns out she's watched the director's commentary on SG-1. The reasons the P90 became the standard armament was for two reasons: for filming and at the request/suggestion of the air force. Amanda Tapping was substantially smaller than the other actors and it wouldn't do to have her dwarfed by her weapon, also because it was small and light it wouldn't draw attention from what was being said in the show's many strolling conversations. The air force which consulted for the show also requested that the show clean up it's representation of them a bit, in terms of guns they had a "whatever they felt looked coolest at the time" sort of attitude. The air force consultant suggested the P90 as what they would equip a squad with for this sort of job. It turned out all for the best as the directors liked it a lot, because the squad could trade magazines and it equalized the visual weight across the squad and the other reasons mentioned above.
Ahoy with his calm and informative lets me go to sleep at night. I listen to him when I cant go to sleep (which is often) and now I understand how several famous guns work and the history behind them. Even before touching a gun you can learn to respect and understand that it's not only a wepon but a tool.
Whenever I see the P-90, I always think of Llenn from Gun Gale Online. You think the P-90 is a great weapon? Just imagine how fatal it can be in the hands of a 4-foot tall girl in a pink bunny hat with super speed! All fear the Pink Devil, and all fear P-Chan!
I fired the FN PS90 (non-auto, civilian-legal version) at a range once. Very unusual gun with a sort of ridiculous loading mechanism, but very fun to use. Fairly accurate at medium range, but of course I did better at long range with an AR. Edit: Fixed model name.
I got to shoot a fully-automatic FN P90 when I went to Las Vegas and it instantly became one of my most favorite firearms. That thing had almost no recoil and my grouping on the target was extremely tight for full-auto. I hope to get the FN57 for my next pistol.
Indigo Gaming I recently purchased a PS90 and I'm extremely happy with it. Only problem is the barrel length for the civilian version is a bit annoying, not to mention the cost of ammunition for it.
sounds like german took their ball and went home when the p90 won. Stargate orginally had HK MP5 but the cost of the blank ammo cost made them make a change to the weapons and eventually it happened to the P90s so thats why the later episodes have MP7s and others
The reason p90 is still so popular is cos it’s easy to conceal and the ammo beats armour but sticks into its target so in heavily populated areas there is lest risk of civilians accidentally getting hit with shrapnel.
